Something is terribly WRONG! ( paper ladies)

Somehow the same enthusiasm is just not felt here....  I have been busy hand quilting Cori's beautiful Paper Ladies Quilt...ONE YEAR of applique...her detail is just AWE-spiring....

However not to my riot boys? I have been stitching almost none stop for 2.5 days and I am already 1/2 way through the ladies and other blocks....it is looking so good...

But it seems they do not share the same enthusiasm......

and don't be fooled by them, we have all been outside for some chasing around the trees...

Just love Monchat's expression...he does make me laugh....

Not sure how it is possible but I seem to BORE my wee fellows
a lot these past couple of days....

Now think about this for a moment...HOW ON EARTH did I get them both
Yawning at exactly the same time...? lucky shot!

so I must return, but not after mentioning----- the weekend is HERE AGAIN..

This weekend we are staining the deck and posts- we were rained out last weekend...
and we have triple mix arriving...2 yards of it for the gardens...

So I may not get a lot of quilting done this weekend....
maybe at night...

So to a lovely weekend my sweets..
MAKE SOME MEMORIES....

p.s completely forgot this weekend is
MOTHERS DAY.....
For all of you who are MUMM"s to someone
just know your LIFE MATTERS to them...

Yesterday David and I spread our arms and $$$
to families in need in the Alberta Fires... look up Fort McMurray....
So devastating, 16,000 homes went up like timber in a campfire...

We gave to the RED CROSS and PET SMART
for lodging and meals....

They all need so much Mothering....
our planet is just not very happy these days....
REST ASSURED there is still so much good in our world
even when we think there is not!

  3. Oh Samm, that was the best! I was chuckling and my huhhy walked by asking me what I was looking at. I showed him the Riot Boys yawning in sync. He (a cat lover to the max) smiled and said "Awww, they are so cute"!!
Listen to this- when we got married I didn't like cats- he begged me to just "try" a cat. Well that was a lot of cats ago!!! I never would have known the joys otherwise! I always had a dog, still love doggies too. But those cats!!
    Have a good weekend!!!!

  5. Maybe they'll come to appreciate quilting with age??? LOL So funny. My pugs wouldn't mind me sitting and quilting at all....as long as I allowed them to sleep under it as I was working! Wish I knew how to hand quilt. Need to try it at least once I think.
