Robin chick update....and a NEW Eye Glass Pouch/ button colour change

I finally was able to get a photo of our wee ROBIN resting. I am sure  MAMA Robin was gruelling her on the importance of keeping low...I am trying not to be a bother to the Mama so I was out early this am and took but 2 photos on a very high ladder to capture these....

So this will have to do for today...
I am not sure where the other two eggs are, unless this wee thing is sitting on them...
they could be tucked in the corner as I did not see any broken shells on the ground...

Meanwhile we completed another pattern...

I made this one above for a shop sample....
and made one for Cori....

It took me 3 attempts to get this right....my first couple were just too complicated
even for me....So back to the drawing board....and my sewing studio
was a buzzing....

Finally, an eye glass pouch that can be pretty classy and has a pocket inside
to store at least 2 pairs of your favorite eye glasses..

The pattern has 19 photographs....follow them, and you will
be making at least one....But we should put a warning on this one too..
YOU will not make just one...
We even tell you where to find these lovely handles....

Now that I have that pattern done, I am working on our next one
which is our UPSCALE CLASSY FOOTSTOOL.

and this....I have this wonderful friend
who had a few CHAPS denim jackets
that she sold me...and let me tell you
I did not mine purchasing them .....
I got them all for a good price...

Problem with one is I am not a fan of gold anything...
And the snaps are not ones you can remove, so what is a
NON_GOLD lover to do?

Yes you guessed it...
PAINT THEM...

They have to sit still for a couple of hours so it may
take the entire day to get them all painted and then
I will be making cuffs out of RBD GINGHAM to jazz them up...

I have some interesting colours...so I will show you what I mean once
I get these buttons all done...

This is a long weekend for us, so we will be in the garden
for a few days, all of my white plants are ready to see some dirt.
The cedar mulch will be here in the morning
so our backyard will smell like a closet of whites and greens...
with a sprinkle of reds...

Wait and see, our deck will come back to life this weekend..

To a wonderful weekend..
cheerio...

Ohhhh and visit Cori, and her Paper Ladies Quilt
she repaired my OOOPS

  1. Aren't baby animals adorable?!! (Even baby birds, although in an ugly sort of way!) My little Oriel babies all died and we don't know why. We never went near them. Our little barn swallows have just hatched.
    Your new pattern is wonderful!
I also love your new "you" graphic!

    1. Hi Tonia...it is the fireplace vent and it is right by our bedroom window, so they are sheltered from the weather as they are under a canopy... She has been such a good Mama too...I don't go out except to take a photo, so she has all day to feed this one..there was 3 eggs, but we only see one born so far...but this one is a live one for sure...and the pouch...the fabric came from a sweet lady who knew I would love it...
