A week in" LIFE", our flowers, riot boys, refashioning stools...

You know spring is coming when you get a few bulbs like Paper Whites and with a little bit of TLC
they flourish in some rich soil and some rays from our winter sun.  This is just 6 days of growth..
before you know it they will be sprouting pretty white flowers...

David picked these up before Valentines day so I would see something on Valentines day lol...
yes stems...no flowers just yet...but the joy is watching them grow daily...maybe next week... I will be happy to see some white wee flowers... in our days of winter....Winter finally came!

 Speaking of Happpppy...

Chances of having my camera ready for all these shots within 2 days is pretty
lucky....but from the looks of them all, I would say they are pretty happy cats...

If they could sing, I am sure they would be singing....

or something like that....lol   and Although Valentines day has come and gone. LOVE resides in our home every day, it has deep roots in gratitude that we are still all together ...

Olga had some great Valentines Tuts, cannot remember where this one came from, but it was a perfect one for us...David laughed when he saw the S was higher than the D....." well that is because you raise me up" the lyrics on the tree....He said ahhhhh too lol... we love words so this background was a perfect choice for us.

I also completed the root rester./foot stool ..and I finished writing the pattern this morning..,
it was so easy to make

and the Snow keeps falling down...LATE but winter has finally arrived
and our backyard has been an airport of activity...
There is nothing quite as pretty in the winter as a cardinals in our trees...

Now I am not complaining or anything I wanted the snow
but I have been stuck here all week.... the roads are not clear enough
to run some errands and I have my Mac Air that needs a visit to the BAR
at Apple...guess that will have to wait till tomorrow...

Today, my Riot Boys and I are going to do some BIRD WATCHING!

Sleepover Side by Side is now available...
Just got it done today ..
How to make a neck roll  step by step and pattern included..

  2. The pattern is awesome Samm. So easy to follow, and I love your out of the box ideas. It has made my sewing room a much happier place for sure! The Valentine for your sweetheart is so tender sweet, and it looks very nice in it's wooden frame. You two are such a cute couple. You with your lovely momento and him with those paperwhites.... it is so heart warming to see you creating such a sweet love story. The little things you two do to say "I love you", well it is just so romantic... and you can tell that your home is filled with love because your kitties have got to be the happiest around...lol.

    1. It is pretty neat isnt it....and to think NOT FOLLOWING RULES, results in simpler ways to design home decor.... Valentines day is every day, I relish our home and all those who occupy it ...brings me to tears, how much love there is here...and our riot boys and t-cup have a pretty good life...it shows every day in their actions and photos..

  4. I love paperwhites Samm - can't wait to see yours! You have snow - we have wind and 70 degree temps. The temperature calls me outside but the wind drives me in. Hope you're having a great week! blessings, marlene

  6. No staples? Really? Because my staple guns (which are good quality) can cause a woman to want to swear at times. "Rules? We don need no stinking rules". LOL Great pictures and I love the Valentine's frame. Lovely.

  7. Isn't life wonderful. A kitty or three at hand, feet resting on a stool, flowers in the window and the view of birds at the feeder. Ahhh. A moment of peace and serenity in a hectic world. Thank you.

  8. Your little boys are so good and sweet little sugarpots of love.
And of course, Missie TeaCuppie is always good, and loved bunches because she has those cute !! !! over her eyes.... or maybe just "" ""

Well, after two echocardiograms, this year, Dr Jarrett decided to try the snap test because the specialist Dr Tyrell DACVIM reassured me that Pierro was very low risk for heart disease.
The Snap test was only $37 and came back negative.
I will have it done every year.

I sent a note to Dr Tyrell and asked him when is the best time to have the echo done, and he said now is good for a baseline echo, but there after, if Sumo is stable he could probably go for this snap test.
Pierro has left ventricular Outflow obstruction as the source of his murmur. So, find a good excellent cardiologist and get the baseline echo.
If you need a recommendation, Dr Tyrell said he would give you one.
He is affiliated with Chesapeake Veterinary Cardiology Associates.

The Plaid tuffet with the ruffles is the best thing ever. I could make one for little Sarah, she could have her own because she is so cute.
I am so glad you have a fine and wonderful Valentines Day with your David.
Rex and I did not go anywhere because it was fricking freezing here and we just broiled steaks in the oven..... and then we did a lot of hugging. We are going to go to a new place this week-end with my daughter, her hubbs and of course MY baby Sarah.
