Newest Collection " Sleepover" Y2K, Riot Boys, Paper Ladies...CAT RUNNER COMPLETED

it is bright, soft and my Ragdolls-Riot Boys love it....
All the while I was hand quilting it....they wanted to sleep, rock and roll
on it.....Note I even added ruffles on both ends...

Each one has a spot whereby they always sit and sleep when we are in the room..
It sits on the back of two loungers in our living room...
OHHH and I found a coffee cup, ( actually it is a tea cup with infuser)
that matches perfectly...

Buffalo plaid will be a theme these next couple months...
the next thing I am making...welllll here is a hint,
YOU can you use it to see better? mmmmmmm

Oh and I am thinking of making a WRAP too!
and something to put our feet on.....
More to come....

The New Millennium (also known as "Y2K", which stands for "year2000") was a term used in the 1990s to describe the coming of the 21st century ...
Well here we are 16 years into this millennium and I still remember
the uncertainties of Y2K.

I have been busy stitching and sewing a new Tammy Bag featuring
LEGGS which came to life...... I chose some rose pattern fabric in blue tones
and cross stitched it perfectly to match...
It is already shipped out to Cori for her upcoming
Academy of Applique. She will be teaching her expert applique skills and will be featuring our
Paper Ladies.. I have sent her a few pieces that will help her
to show and tell our unique collaboration.

I am finishing MY CAT RUNNER today....I have written it  here so it shall be done..
Another week filled with so much activity.... the Riot Boys and T-cup
just consume me lol

Never would I have imagined so many blessings would fill my day.
Never would I have imagined my life would look like this since I left big Pharma.
Never would I have imagined, I would be designing patterns, knitting, crocheting,
quilting and blogging, which was so foreign to me 8 years ago!
Never would I have imagined partnering with someone who creates excitement
with me every day. We work so well together and we compliment each others talent.
She is a sweet treasure!
Never would I have imagined my life would be so complete!
Never would I imagine since 2000, I would have 4 felines enter my heart forever.
T-cup was born in 2000, Sumatra 2008, Sumo and Monchat in 2015.

Never would I have imagined the memories that these wee furry creatures
would stitch into my heart.
Never would I have imagined a Man who puts me above the rests to love
me as deeply as he does...NEVER!  HE is my FOREVER MATE!

And yet here we are.

"Bless you"...... Sumo and Monchat wear their title "RIOT BOYS" perfectly.
I don't think there is one hour in their waking days, that we are not smiling and laughing...
Take this photo....Sumo looks like he is blessing his wee brother....

Monchat looks like this ANGEL of felines..so tender, so sweet
and so full of activity....I have decided I will choose
one photo each day and at the end of the year
I will fill a book of THEM....a reminder of how each day
filled me with blessings!
One of Monchat's favourite toys is this fur ball..he growls when he plays with it..
not that he would strike at Sumo or even me, but we know to stay away from him
and giggle at his play time...

and although Sumo and Monchat are forever BRO's and playmates..
I think Sumo gets tired of playing....Take this photo...I swear this wee fellow
speaks volumes in one look...
Monchat saying "Sorry I'm Bad" or something like that....

....as I was cutting the binding for OUR CAT RUNNER....I am sewing it on this am
and making ruffles for both ends...will show likely tomorrow in this post
if not today when I complete it...

Welll anyway Sumo was very attentive as I was cutting on the floor...
He kept jumping on my scissors...not a good thing, so I placed him under the table
and asked him to stay put.... He again looked at me
" Do I have to....?" or something like that... but he stayed there all the while
I was cutting their runner for our lounger!

I just happened to still have my camera close by and the light filtering through our window
bench window, just captured his beauty perfectly...he is getting so MEATY...and SHADY....
as one special young lady calls it...full of CHARACTER he is....she has taken this photo for her desktop...

Again they find themselves in the cat bed I made especially for them...
Sumo is trying to nap, Monchat still wants to play....

Funny thing about this Cat Bed....the other day, it was very early , Monchat came running
out of our bedroom...and he mistook this bed as his cat litter and did a little P....
OHHHH NOOOOOOO......2 days of making this and it will have to be thrown out...
so I washed it hot water, and put it out later that day...

AGAIN "P" in it...I thought with their keen sense of smell, it still smelled to them...so
I poured a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide, put it through a steam bath,
sanitized it and washed it one more time....

If this did not work, it would have to be thrown out...

Welll ever since, there have been no more accidents, and they both play and
sleep in it....

I too have a very keen sense of smell...so much so, I can smell
everything, so you can be assured with 4 litter boxes in our home
never can you smell anything. Nobody would ever know we have cats
in our home if not for all the activity....

Ok, I must run, they are both napping and I  must complete this cat runner today..
as I am so excited to show you our next Collection...
I will give you a hint...they are called..
ohhhh and you just cannot imagine how beautiful they are....
here is a wee snapshot of it....

My incentive to complete this Cat Runner today...
see you soon..

Remember fill your day with TENDER sweet MOMENTS...
it will have you purrrrrrrring your days away

  1. Glad you were able to get the bed and box thing straighten out. It would have been a shame to throw out such a nice bed. The boys are a delight to watch growing up. Maybe you need to wean us down to one picture a day. 8-)

    1. Hi Sweet lady...I do that too..I have a solution of that with some detergents, and I wash their little boxes every week with that and the floors beside them....possibly why they are happy in their litter boxes...Monchat just has such a tiny bladder, I dont' think he could make it down the stairs quick enough...since then we now have box upstairs too xx

  7. I miss under stood, I thought you were saying your were only going to share one photo a day with us. So good I'll still get my fix of the boys. I'm trying not to get any more furbabies. I have one adult of about 7Yrs and two 12 yr old dogs. Our plan when they go home to enjoy eternity maybe adopt an dog of about 2 or 3yrs of age. I'm getting to old to keep up with kittens and puppies. Not fair to them or me. But I do so love to see their antics.

    1. Tonia, not sure if I could do just one pic a day...lol. although posting every day is not a task I can do at this time..so I will do a bi-weekly of events lol. I hear you, kittens and puppies require 100% of our time....I really do stop everything for them....and you know something, I could not imagine it any other way....as we get older though, I think adopting older cats would be a nice idea too...xx

  15. I am excited to see the romantic pillow designs.
These two kittyboys remind me of Miles and Pierro. Pierro is white and adorable and little, he is the boss boy. Miles is red mackerall tabby and he just does not care. haha
OH the SCISSORS... yes, Pierro goes nuts when I am cutting, especially on the floor, which I do sometimes,
You have to stop, and say no no, then wait...........
    hmmm
They are so adorable. So cute and puffy and so sweet. My Pierro is all white with points, but God just made him that way. He is my baby.
Happy Thursday Missie Samm. I am thrilled you have Sumo and Monchat to be with your sweet Tcuppie. Just think, if you did not bring them home (:::::shudders:::::) they would be with someone else :-O that would be just terrible. Let's not think about that any more.
La la la everything is wonderful now.
We are preparing for 30 inches of snow starting tomorrow PM
So, I have a lot of things to prepare.... and oh my, we better not lose electricity or it will be bad.....
Enjoy your sweet kitties. They are so sweet and they think WE are just huge kitties and their mommy.

    1. Hello sweet lady....first thank you...and they are RAGDOLLS. Monchat is a blue mitted
and Sumo is a seal bi colour. They evolve into their colours over the next 3 years...
each week they change....which is why it is nice to see photos of them weekly..
I have had a few emails ---asking how many cats we really have??? only 3....our oldest is a main coon and she is 16. Ragdolls get fairly large up 20 pounds and over....average 8 pounds more than other felines...They also eat a lot....about $300.00 dollars worth per month. They are worth their weight in gold you could say lol. They are sometimes referred to as puppy cats because they behave much like dogs.... hope that helps...you would never be disappointed...Be sure to ask breeders how often they breed before they retire their queens...that can make a big difference to their health. Vet bills are very expensive for these guys..

I fooled many for years....I was so cheap, I just could not think of spending thousands for a suit like other colleagues....lol Thank you for the smile upon my lips...I suppose this chapter of my life is doing all the things I could not do then.. creativity was so frowned upon.... I guess I bottled it all up cause wait till you see what I am up to today lol...

I am ironing all my window treatments after them all being washed and we are replacing film on the windows..but as soon as I am done of that...I will be stitching the rest of the evening..x
