HOW to make some FASHION BOOTs a la Buffalo Plaid.( paper ladies, ragdolls)

I spend a lot of time thinking....thinking what to do with BUFFALO PLAID this year....it is so much like gingham, I have come to love Buffalo Plaid as much as GINGHAM. Now that is quite a statement from me lol.  This gorgeous buffalo plaid comes from Camelot Fabrics....it is a beautiful colour, soft as can be and suits my wardrobe and decor to a T. You know I am working on the CAT Runner....still am, got a bit sidetracked...You see, there are many more meows beckoning for my time these days and I have been making frequent trips to the pet store for FOOD and toys.... and wearing my Cougars... well my new Buffalo Plaid ankle Cougars....

I took a pair of Cougar boots I purchased last year, these are wonderful because they are great as rain boots as well as winter boots with pretty amazing traction and keep your feet warm up to -10 degrees....( without socks) yep....I loved them however I wear a lot of long skirts, no one really saw them to my knees anyways, and I found them tight on my muscular calves......soooooo I cut them
and turned them into ankle boots....love them love them love them....thought I would share with you how I did it...

You know what is wonderful about having these "Riot Boys" in my life? I observe them in their play time and I marvel at their soft biting, and licking and how there is no CHAT back and forth...they do this in pure silence. Except for their bells...there is no noise...

I captured  this tender sweet moment while sitting on the window
bench watching the birds ...,when Monchat jumped  on the window sill
and kissed Sumo's nose and Sumo reached out to touch his face...

They  had been chasing one another and for this magic moment
it was like " Hey, BRO, I missed you" or something like that!

Again "Riot Boys" is such a great description of them, because they really keep me smiling!
You can see the difference in size...Sumo is double the size of our wee Monchat....and takes his role
as big brother quite seriously...

It was just a little too quiet while I was stitching....so I went into our bedroom
where this tall condo tower is, and on the very top...7.5 feet by the way, here they
were just having some quiet time.... " bird watching"...

Until T-cup walked by and they were edging her on, to join them....lol

She chose a lower tower, she is too old to climb that high anymore, she may get up there,
but she would need help getting down..

Although they sleep a lot together, Sometimes Sumo needs some space away from Monchat...
I just love this photo as the afternoon Sun was kissing him all over...
He is so adorable...when he wakes he always looks for me, and  hurries to kiss my nose...
"I missed you" or something like that...

Meantime, Monchat wants to play and has taken to playing with some crystals
in our window..scaring the birds of course.....they have now been removed
to his dismay....
He is saying " will miss you- you beautiful glass toy" or something like that...

Occasionally they look up with such tenderness and love in their eyes  and what happens....I just SMILE....It is really beautiful. They are not even aware of this but they teach me to savour every moment of my life...with them, with David and with YOU.

They are these sweet miracles of life...Any of you who have pets, know what I am talking about.
Perhaps with losing Sumatra just a few short months ago, I value every second of the day, I stop everything and watch my sweet boys... wanting to catalogue every moment of their lives...

Already it has been a year of SWEETNESS....Cori has noted this year to be a SWEET 16 year. A nice way actually to change our thought process and design a year that will reflect more of what we want in LIFE. I don't know about you , but sweetness is something I would love  to see more of...

Speaking of sweet...I designed a new cover for our Leggs pattern....and Cori and I loved those Leggs so much decided it would be a perfect piece to showcase in a banner for when she will be at the Academy of Applique in Virginia in the weeks ahead...

This Banner that she will be hanging is
30 inches wide by 72 inches in length....

Loved how it turned out.. I am also completing
these legs for a Tammy Bag for her to show
what else you can do with our patterns...
Applique, Cross Stitch and Embroidery
and also colouring....

As soon as I complete this project..
I will be working on our newest collection...
YOU will be TALKING all about it...
wait and see...wink..
And snow has finally found us...we had some earlier dustings, but
this is really our first snowfall and all of our birds agree, it is winter here now..
WE were beginning to wonder if those couple hundred of pounds
of seed would be used....with the warmer days they were
not coming to the feeders...

And funny enough they still prefer the seed on the ground versus feeders....when it is this cold
they should not have to work so hard for some food for their tummies.

And now I must return to my new Tammy with the LEGGS pattern..
another marketing tool for Cori....

    1. HI Carol. they took me a couple of hours ohhhh but so worth the effort...you need an all to put the holes in the neo but then it works like a dream...and yes Sumo's he is changing far quicker than Monchat..whose face will just go all grey...and next projects, many will no doubt identify wink.

  9. I love the pictures of your little boys, enjoy as much as you can they grow so fast. I totaly understand your happiness: little kittens are so cheerful, clumsy and endearing. If all lonely and older people would have a kitten in their home to look after they should feel much better. Love, Nienke

    1. Hello Nienke, they are growing much faster than I remember in the past...from week to week we can see it..I weighed them the other day, they are both a pound heavier already...and they are so cheerful within the walls of our home ...I so believe you if many could have kittens and cats, there would so many happy people in our world..they to tend to bring out the very best in us ...x

    1. HI Brigitte, and they are warm and fashionable..I had a young boy maybe 8-10 years old the other day while in Home depot stop me to tell me "I love your boots"..it was really funny, 'cause boys don't usually say anything lol. He was very fashion conscious...he was dressed very nice. And Cori's banner will be perfect for her event..
