Day 2 in the life of a Cat Madame ( ragdolls)....and a cat RUNNER in the near future!

We survived our first evening together...Sumo was so elated with Monchat, we had to separate them for the night so we could all get some sleep.

You know that excitement you feel when you are in GREAT company for the first time and you cannot believe you have this CONNECTION and you just don't want the day to end.

WEllllllll, I suspect that is exactly how Sumo was  feeling. AT the moment they both have had breakfast,  lunch and dinner, done their business, played every two hours,  and now all of them are cat napping on the top of our loungers- inches apart no less....ahhhhhhhhhh it's like watching TWINS  and the oldest sibling all over again, they look like angels sent from heaven.....

T-cup the wonderful caring Matriarch she is, waits till the young ones are fed, and then carries on with her rituals....We both agree, she is possibly relieved to see Sumo with a companion.

You know we possibly broke every rule there is about socializing your cats....David and I both agree if love is in the air, they will all feel safe and comforted. There has no hissing, no slapping, however there has been some growling, and it came from MONCHAT, but not what you would think.... He growls when he is playing alone. We gave him this real fur ball and for over an hour last night, he would throw it in the air and growl when he would catch it...Had us all in stitches...

And he does not give kisses but Head BUMPS to both David and I.... he likes to lick our hands, but prefers these cute Head BUMPS...he is already quite a character...Quite fearless, we caught him on the 2 inch railing this afternoon....it is about 18 feet down had he tumbled on the stairs...His insurance does not begin till tomorrow....He is already down to 8 lives.... and no I did not have my camera for that shot, I was racing to catch him lol.

Who would believe within 24 hours - both Sumo and Monchat would be sharing
a food station....?
They don't even try to take from one another's plate...totally awesome, if you ask me!

They even take turns on their mini towers....Sumo was pushing Monchat off so he could sit there
this am....

They have their cat naps above our loungers...ok, Sumo was as Monchat
heard the click of my camera....
" would you mind" or something like that..

Here's Sumo showing  him around the bathtub, Monchat was reaching for my container
of soap, Sumo was trying to stop him....
This is Monchat climbing out of the bathtub after a tumble, like
" I meant to do that" or something like that.. I actually think Sumo pushed him in...
He had that "I am guilty" look!

Turns out this wee guy has more energy than Sumo, even though
they are but 1 month apart....He thinks he is SUPERMANCAT.

I had this sadness last evening, Sumo was so excited with Monchat's
arrival, we did not have any one to one time...
I was thinking I would be cast aside for a younger bro ....lol

That changed this am, it was like they had a conversation...
Sumo: " I will spend some time with Mumm this am, you after lunch?"

or something like that...

And you know something, when I was working on this post, took most of the day
as I try to keep quiet when they are resting.
When we are up so are they...so zzzzzz

Monchat came to join me, he sat with me for about 20 minutes, lying on his back
and purring for rubs... and then flew upstairs...

As I completed this, David called me upstairs..

LOOK- all of them inches apart...

It is inconceivable to me that within 24 hours, 3 cats are all sleeping in harmony...
Again David reminded me, " they feel the love".

No mistaken here, it is a lot of work and effort caring for 3 felines.....
I am already working on a CAT RUNNER for the back of our double loungers...

You know BED RUNNERS, well I need some CAT RUNNERS...

I have stitched up 3 different CATS in embroidery and Cross stitch and I am
going to make a quilt using this

( after a few hundred notes about "ARE YOU EVER GOING TO SEW AGAIN?"
This is for YOU....lol And yes I will be sewing again, in fact
Cori and I have the whole year planned already....

Nothing else would do for this design...
This is what I will be working on this week, when my CREW is napping!

I was going to add RUFFLES, and may still, we will see..after all I still have
T-cup and she is a girl...or rather lady!

You can find this Buffalo Plaid at many online and brick and mortar stores!
It is beautiful...and look it matches my cup perfectly~
( all 3 CATS will have their own block and name)

Ohhhh and Santa found a couple beautiful new MUGS for me to work along
in FASHION sense and STYLE. Gosh he has good taste!

Both Cori and I will be working on some HOME DECORE designs over the next
couple months using only BUFFALO PLAIDS accents!
FOR US it is the year of PLAID!( like gingham wink)

Ok, DAY 2 is almost over and this

needs a nap ...wink!

    1. Hi Terry, we heard many issues with climatizing new felines, none of those applied here.. They all have their own litter boxes, with an extra, so even that has been a delight.....that is often a sure sign something is wrong lol

    1. Nobody could have told me a cat gets lonely for other cats until we lost Sumatra....I think that is a big reason why we decided on 2 instead of one, because when T-cup is gone, Sumo would be devastated....they are so cute together, they play, eat and sleep together and T-cup is never far from view ...xx

    1. HI Josie...funny comment, ty....they are darlings ....and I did not know that about head bumps...I have never had a cat do that...Sumatra never kissed, T-cup does but only with /david, Sumo does to me all the time, in fact each day and Monchat is my head bumper...he does not do it with David lol

  21. HI there! Just found you here in the Webby World! What a wonderful blog! You and I seem to be quite a bit alike! I loved Lucy growing up as well! My older sister and I watched her and her crazy antics with Ethel, Fred, and Ricky as often as possible on our tiny 10" black & white! I also love chickens--like crazy love chickens!! I once was in Switzerland in the French-speaking area and saw a gorgeous Rooster w/pantaloons so I spoke to him in French, telling him he was beautiful! He seemed to agree as he fluffed himself and strutted around in front of me!! LOL Also, I adore your Ragdolls!! We used to have 2 Himalayans:a boy and a girl--siblings from litters 6 years apart. They were both head-butters, but especially Sheba. She died at only 4 years old [she had been the runt], but Solomon lived a good long spoiled life of luxury of 17 years!! I need another kitty.... and some chickens... I think I'll go watch some "Lucy" reruns now. ;)

    1. Hello Patricia...as you are no reply blogger, I could not reply direct too..so hopefully you see this note..and thank you...Lucy, Ragdolls, chickens, all such a passion to relish.
your Himalayans sound they were amazing co. so hard to say goodbye to our feline friends. we just buried 2 within a year, and Sumo our new ragdoll has a hole in his heart so he may not live too long...they said 2-3 years tops..but he does not know that..so he is happy every day and we are happy to enjoy him...nice to see you
