There is still JOY without our snow!

I guess the only place we will be seeing snow this year for Christmas is in our Christmas village and photos from the past... Today we will be having a record high of mid 50's ....We usually have below 0 weather.... We had many events planned this week, skiing, tobogganing and snow shoeing.. they have been replaced with bathing suits, theatre and games....

I was explaining Snow to Sumo....he had no idea what I was talking about since he is only 4 months old. :)... it has been a very interesting week with him. He only has to be told once not to climb the tables, the tree or fireplace. He learns so quickly....

I was cutting a pattern for a lampshade yesterday, I had to tape two long pieces of paper together,
he immediately put his paws on the paper where it needed to be joined and once I began adding the tape, he stepped back to watch....NOW had I put the camera on the tripod, I could have shown you...

but I was able to capture this shot...A sweet friend asked me the other day, "do I always have my camera with me"...YEP....it is wonderful to be able to capture this little creature in action...

David got me a video camera, but I just have not had time to use it yet ....lol
This was a photo in 2014 at Christmas of our sweet humble home.
....what a contrast to our green lawn today and neighbouring fields...

I love how Sumo takes notice of everything. I had just placed this Santa
on the window sill when he looked at it
"what is that?" He will soon know as Santa will be visiting him this Christmas...
his first with us...

I took these on Dec 17th, the field still looks like this yesterday.....
It is so hard to believe, how our weather has changed so much...Mother Nature is jut not sure what to think of all this warm weather....
Well, we are packing and will be away for a few days
so may we wish you all from our home and hearts to yours
the Merriest Christmas ever.
It has been quite a year, some sadness, some losses but most of all  PURE JOY...
This wee fellow and T-cup and  Monchat  who will be here after Christmas
( our breeder sent this the other day) have been the best medicine anyone
could prescribe for a broken heart....

I will be forever grateful for T-cup, she continues to be the perfect teacher
and companion for Sumo...although she tuckers out a bit more than usual...
She is happy which only makes us happy too!

I am not sure what 2016 has prepared for us all, but I am almost positive it will fill our hearts with wonderment and magical moments. Cori and I have quite a few projects planned, you just know we will be inspiring each other which no doubt might inspire you too...
We will continue to seize each day and create memories that will warm our hearts for years to come..

Many Blessings to you all...

We got married to Pachelbel Canon...this Christmas version just steals my heart
of me approaching David on our wedding day!

  14. Samm, your post is so cozy! Good to know Sumo is learning fast! :) He is such a cute boy! I can imagine his surprize when real snow appears. By the way, we also have a very warm winter here in the Far East of Russia. Temperature is about 0 all the time (usually is is abt -20 C at winter). It makes me start to think of global warming >_<
