A day in the life of a blue eyed TARZAN....ohhh and Elfie on day 3 where is SHE?

Anyone who says you cannot have JOY again after a loss of a beloved pet
has not had a RAGDOLL named SUMO...

I really did not expect my heart to ever heal, or rather heal so quickly after losing Sumatra
so early in her life. I still miss her antics, her warmth, her lovely disposition....

However having Sumo in our HOME these past 5 days has been such a blessing.
Someone said to me the other day, "We never know what God's plan is when
we lose someone...." She is so wise my dear friend......there could be so many reasons why she had
to go and I have accepted it. And here is why....

I now know I am capable of loving that deeply, so completely for a living
breathing soul- because by golly it has happened again...

Yesterday morning in one of our tender moments. I whispered " I love you sweet Sumo"
He then reached for my nose with his paw,  touched me ever so gently, then came in closer
to lick my nose...
And then just stared at me with those gorgeous blue eyes...

And yes of course a tear fell down my cheek...
And I realized LIFE continues -
if you allow your heart to be opened so more love can pour into it..
- it is possible to heal a broken heart .....
mine is healing..

Here we are in our routine...so me morning time at  our window bench watching the birds...

One of the toys he is passionate about is these coils, we have always had them, our cats love playing with them. Sumo is no different. We play fetch for a good 15 minutes every morning...again, routines are good....it also tuckers him out so I can get some stitching done...

Ohhh the adventures yesterday, again had me laughing...he is really very tiny...
he looks big as I am getting close ups, but he is all 12 inches long...so from the floor
this tower stands 7 feet tall...
I am thinking " you are not ready for this" and before I knew it Sumo
is climbing the tower right to the top...and then swinging down to the lower
shelf and repeating this about 5 times. ...

He has no fears...no whining, no crying, just a determination to at least try everything....YOU gotta love that kind of spunk... he is filled with teachings at a ripe age of 3 months tomorrow! .

After all that exercise it was time for some grooming...and teeth brushing...

And seriously, I am pretty obsessed with clean teeth but his teeth are the size of a head of a pin..
but he really likes the brush...so he may be a good candidate for teeth brushing in the
near future ...He was on his hind legs...holding onto that brush with such determination...lol

Meanwhile, this morning I heard some commotion " I know what I am doing" I walked  in on these two trying to complete my Dec Paper Lady for me.... So Ms Elfie seems to be carrying her ELF helping attributes to the surface and we know Sumo can't possibly know anything about stitching just yet.....He is still trying to master climbing and purring tasks..

Even a kitten still needs his naps... so after a couple of hours of activity,
he loves going to our bedroom and attacking the fringes on our pillows...
he was staring at them here after attacking them and flipping on the bed
and landing all sprawled out...

and then it is Nap time once again....
his routine is every 2 hours of activity requires at least 2 hours of naps...

And just when you think I can possibly brush my teeth or pour myself another coffee......

He is there " what's next- MUMM"? lol......

A lesson for me today...." enjoy every moment, create memories, love those dear to your heart"

Be sure to check on Cori tomorrow to see where her Elfie will turn up.....

“Wherever you are,
it is your friends who
make your world."

update on day 7, they were both cat napping with T-cups paws on his head....now that it a sweet miracle...x

    1. I heard it Vickie, I just did not think it would happen to me...I loved Sumatra so much...I thought I would never get over her not being here...and yet a sweet miracle...and a valuable lesson...if you truly love every moment our pets give us in our every day life, when they are gone, we have to pour that love into another....and that JOY continues...despite a couple of months of sadness...
it is the price we pay for loving and caring so much! x YOU got that lesson too !

  5. Oh my, what a character. He is funny for all he gets into. He would love my birds right now as they are a lot fighting for the feeders. Our resident squirrel is also up to tricks this morning. Upside down on one of the feeders, eating. Perfect day for sewing. It is so nice to see you enjoying your new kitten, and just think, in a couple of weeks there will be another. Let the fun and antics begin!!

I guess I am living vicariously through your posts of Sumo and Tea Cup, along with, soon to be Monchat as well. They are so darn cute Samm and are the perfect remedy for a broken heart. Hugs

    1. HI Sylvia..ahhh your note just brings a smile to my face...It really is hard not to be taken up with our sweet felines....funny you say you look forward to the post...our breeder does not post each day, she is extremely busy with a household of kittens....but I just get faint when i see the kittens and they are not even mine...there is something about ragdolls in particular that just melts my heart... I have never heard from anyone who has a ragdoll that they need not see the same personality. loving, gentle, sweet, want to be right by your side...It is inbred in them..there is no doubt about it...there are so many similarities between Sumatra and Sumo..it is really incredible.... x
