Stitching up a season or 2-3-4.... FOR YOU! ( ornament exchange friendly reminder)

Not that I am trying to move into 2016 with any exuberance
as I feel this year has been one of heartfelt emotions...
one I shall never forget.....but as each season unfolds there
are so many gifts to behold.

Take this 'Year of Stitches Calendar" ....
If you have an awl or a large needle, a sponge, some patience,
you can stitch a month throughout 2016 and you leave a comment...
I have one to give to YOU....

I picked up this very plain frame, glued a bow and bell, and a pair
of vintage scissors on it....Looks quite festive and a lovely gift
for all those who love X stitching...

Everything is included in this sweet gift, needle and all the floss
so you too can stitch up each month of 2016.
You must punch the holes into each calendar and then you are
ready to stitch.  Be sure to place your calendar on top of a sponge...
works so much better than trying to add holes without it..
( I know that now wink)

The artiste , Heather has an offer for all of you...

She made a 20% off discount code named SEWWESTITCH. It's 20% off the 2016 Year
in Stitches Calendar Kit. The catch? The code expires Nov. 30!

Speaking of Gifts. This new BIRD feeder showed up at our door
last week a lovely gift from a sweet friend who also enjoys bird watching.
Our feather friends love it...it holds 10 pounds of seed....
YES 10 pounds. I have already filled it 2x in a week...

WE just purchased 80 pounds a seed a couple of weeks ago.
WE called the farmer and asked for a discount....
We got it but had to purchase 240 pounds of seed...
That won't even get us to February lol.....

But you know something, the hours of enjoyment they provide
each morning while I sit on my window bench stitching....
is worth the price....
Our black capped chickadees are a delight, they move like hummingbirds they are so quick....but funny this year, they are sticking around...they are getting used to me and T-cup in the window...
Our sparrows are regular visitors too...there were a couple of them at the feeder this morning too!

And our Blue Jays have certainly increased in numbers this year...besides all the peanuts we
leave for them daily, they also frequent our feeders.....this morning I counted 14 of them....

We noted some snowflakes on the weekend, so the season is beginning...
hot coffee, a muffin and some stitching and I am ready...
Are you?

Leave a comment on what MONTH you are looking forward to in 2016!
We will choose a winner world wide....
Winner will be announced on Thursday of this week, the day
I go to do mailings....

CONGRATS EV......you won this year of stitches...xx
it is off to you today...

get them out soon... ( reminder post)

There are 318 of you LADIES
who need to get to the MAIL by the end of

    1. Ah Charlotte...I could fill it every hour of the day and they would just tell more feathered friends to come...I have started bringing them in at night after catching some racoons trying to shake them down ....Now those critters, I do not want to feed lol. And wonderful news about a wee tot coming in the new year...how nice!

  10. We'll be switching to our winter bird feeder soon. The finches stayed late this year so we just took that feeder down now that I've noticed they haven't been visiting for a week or so. Anyone who ever uses the phrase... "Eats like a bird" has never had to refill a bird feeder as many times as we do... lol.

I'm not sure what month I'm most looking forward to next year... it's hard to even realize that we're almost through this year!

Had to take them down because of the deer, they not only knocked the seed out, they knocked several down and broke them. So I enjoy your pictures and wish I had that view. :)
