Day 2...adventures of a kitten named SUMO!

We slept in shifts... but we were both surprised at how long he slept..
We kept him in his cloth bag, and as long as our hands was near the window...
he just would fall asleep....

At 6:40 am he was wide awake...fed him and then I took my coffee and muffin to
the window seat to watch the birds...Of course Sumo followed me...

This was his face upon seeing a BLUE BIRD...
I am sure not even knowing what that was...he was in AWE of the all birds...
we sat there for 2 hours...he just stayed on the window sill making funny sounds......lol

At one point he tapped the window as if to say...
"Hi Blue Birds --I am Sumo"
or something like that...lol

After a few more minutes of that...he decided he was going to try
to open the window...actually, he was chewing on the handle...
This was his first scold.." NO....stop that......"

He then insisted on climbing over my laptop....

So much for any more writing....it is time to play....

And play he does...he jumped from his bed, to tower, to lounger, back in his
bed...and watched David go downstairs...
HE JUMPED down 5 steps....he was fine, ran back upstairs and insisted on
going for another JOY ride...
"NO, stop that"  and he did....lol

For over an hour, T-cup and Sumo shared some SPACE....about 18 inches....no hissing,
but you can see T-cup is not at all impressed...but they stayed there and both eventually fell asleep...

Now on day 2 Sumo has an appetite....he was looking at his food dish...
"think it is time for fueling?"

Me...."no stop that" lol
Not really....lol

Nap time again on my desk...as I load up all the pics, he falls asleep again...
We both remarked how comfortable he is already in his home.......
Truly a sweet miracle....
I did manage to get some muffins baked this am and I have chili in the crock pot...
So today was a good day!

  1. Hi, Sumo is such a beautiful boy, I love those eyes. I know have a dog I rescued from a puppy farm and I love him to bits. He is timid like me and takes awhile to warm to people, but I used to have a beautiful grey and white long haired cat who was named Jazz. Jazz only because until he was desexed I thought he was Jasmine hehe. This gorgeous boy was fifteen years old when I had to move into a smaller house after the kids had left home, while packing boxes he just disappeared. I was heart broken and after searching for so long for him, I made the decision not to replace him. I hope you have many years of enjoyment and love from Sumo. Best Wishes Wendy

    1. Hello Wendy, I think anyone who is a pet keeper has such a great heart....We can never replace any pet but getting a new pet only says you have so much love in your heart you would do it all over again...That is a big reason why we chose to get 2 new ragdolls...there is no possible way Sumatra could ever be replaced....but Sumo already has shown that there is a possibility of a different love and the Joy that was missing from our home has been replaced 10 fold xx

  5. Your pictures are precious. In some of the pictures you can see.a bit of the beige color coming in.
There will be lots of adventures. You can already tell he will be a character, and mischief maker. There you go you could write a children' s or adults book about his adventures. Enjoy.

    1. HI Sandra, I know it is hard not to touched by his sweet tenderness, he has no doubt helped our broken hearts, which I did not think was possible...we both have noted some very touching moments, there are so many similarities to Sumatra....again it is possible it is the breed, but they are very close to our memory and hearts.... HE is without a doubt the best medicine for both of us...and as I have said in the past. " We would do it all over again..." and are..x
