Apple of my pie and eye.....( sumo and monchat updates)

Our days are shorter at the moment...less LIGHT....
but that is fine with me...
Autumn brings such delight....canning, baking, and cooking....
this is what this season brings to our home...

I find I stitch even more this season, I like to decorate our home with
splashes of YELLOW....This APPLE OF MY PIE,
Paper lady pattern was a perfect project for a SLEEVE for my
Sunburst Minky pillow...

and topped it with this fine lace....
OH my and a large BOW on the back just finished it off perfectly..

did you see her beautiful post..?
She made a perfect gingham apple pie...lol

I have this wonderful deacon bench at our front door, so this seemed a perfect place to welcome
friends and family in our home.... although that gingham throw won't be there for too long...
I am going to turn it into a skirt....yep....I have a habit of doing that....one of a kind blanket skirts...

See the Bow? it needed a little something spectacular.... lol

As you can see, T-cup could have cared less....preferring to catch some sun....she was pretending to be asleep....

Our Viburnums are starting to change to this rich hues of reds....soon they will be
shedding their leaves and snow will be sticking to their branches...I took
this pic yesterday morning...they were filled with sparrows....

Our wonderful Breeder keeps us updated in photos...here is the latest on Sumo..
you can see his face is getting darker each week...
( he will be 2 months old tomorrow)
I can hardly wait till he comes home...just a couple more weeks..
and as soon as we get a new update on Monchat...will show him too...
will be one month tomorrow...

Happy Birthday boys...SUMO is 2 months today
Monchat is 1 month old today...
He looks like he should be in a toilet paper commercial lol

As far as missing Sumatra ... each day gets easier...

"She is everywhere, she is nowhere, but she is still here......"

LOVINGLY

    1. Hi Selina...I squeal with delight when I get the updates each week...they change so much from one week to the next, and when they get home, they will keep changing for up to 3 years..Ragdolls take that long to get all their colours... Now T-cup will do one of 2 things...love them because they are kittens and boys...or hate them till we climatize them to her....we have done it twice before....and she loved our bichon frise and she still misses Sumatra. xx

  19. My Dearest friend Samm,
When I read the sad sad news of Sumatra my heart was so heavy! The two of you were connected in so many ways and on so many levels. Being a pet owner myself, I completely understand the grief you feel. I am a dog lover but have had 3 cats in my life that got under my skin and into my heart. People who are not pet owners do not understand the joy of loving a fur baby and having them love you. It is unconditional love personified. I regret that I'm just now reading about Sumatra but glad that I finally did read so I could send you my heart felt condolences. Your new fur babies in waiting will help to mend your broken heart but never take the place of Sumatra! I've shed many a year over losing a beloved pet and others would invariably warn me to Not jump into getting another pet so soon or even try to persuade me into never getting another pet. Their reasoning was to avoid another broken heart but that is faulty logic in my opinion. Avoiding a broken heart involves never loving again and for me that is an unacceptable choice.
Grieve for Sumatra but look forward to the joy of loving again once Sumo and Monchat come home! Btw, where did the name Monchat come from?
Sorry for my absence but I have not been very active on my blog for some time. My heart needs healing from my own kind of heart ache felt only by a mother. Time and lots of prayer will begin the healing process of a prodigal daughter but like the story in the Bible, we've done everything we know to do but Let go and Let God. Easier said than done I can assure you but the Only choice at this point in time. I love and miss you so much. I Must pick myself up and begin to sew again. I will start by catching up on your blog. Blessings

    1. HI sweet Jane...it has been a very sad few weeks since we had to part, there is no doubt Sumatra was part of me. Our decision to jump right back in and do it all over again, is because we love so much...And many would agree, despite the terrible sadness, we will do it all over again ....how could we not, a couple months of sadness for years of joy? I will take that anyday....Monchat ( is my cat in French) I gave David a choice of a name for Sumo...he loves this little character already, the name Sumo was Sumatra's nick name...he just did not want to pass on forgetting her name completely so decided on Sumo...he is already a wee brute,so it will suit him. Monchat is so terribly cute , almost too cute to be a boy...MYCAT seemed so appropriate...how you say it is mo-shaw.... it certainly will be a one of a kind...We never had traditional names for our pets...( roxy, duvet, t-cup, sumatra, )...Sorry to hear your heart is aching, being a Mumm has some challenges at times..it is so hard, and I so understand....miss you terribly too ...but here you are....xxx it is never too late to connect.
