Something to Meow about...

I can be found in my studio these past few days, I have been working on some
gingham and lace trim for a pillow for my "Apple of my PIE" pattern that Cori

Take a peak at what she did with hers......

I will likely have it completed by tomorrow.... mine will be in yellow!

I also  have been busy making some cat beds too
....with 3 cats in the house soon, we will need some beds
in all of the rooms....so this one was befitting as it is a newsprint for CATS.....

Although tears do fall at times, each day is getting easier, and there are
more smiles replacing the tears that once stained my cheeks..

We printed off some of our favourite shots of Sumatra
and they are all over our home- a reminder she is always here...

Most days I feel her SOUL near, she is here....
It is still hard at night for us all, we always came together for the news
and bedtime...they often would stand by the pocket door of our bedroom
and meowed us to come to bed...

It was a family affair...and it will be again..
Our home will be filled with pitter patter of many paws very soon in fact..
T-cup has settled down too...we all have been comforting one another....

Here are some updates of our new additions...

Sumo is still on the small size but makes up with his  big personality..
He is seal, bi-colour, which means he will have a dark face like his mom,
but his markings on his face will be his dad....so his white face
will stay white...

Ragdolls get their colourings over 3-4 years...They change
right in front of you... slowly but noticeable...

Sumo will be the first to arrive in November 21st....

Monchat above is a Blue Point Ragdoll.
he has his Mom's yes and will have his Dad's colouring around his face...

I can tell already he will love the camera as the camera will love him...

They will both be so different..

and Monchat will be in December 20th....

What was the beginning of a very sad fall has now turned into
snapshots of sweet miracles-blessings of the beauty that surrounds our world...

This was taken last evening as David  and I held each other on our deck..
We were thinking of how much Sumatra loved this time of year with her
sister T-cup...They would chase each other all over the yard, waiting for us to
come down and chase them back into the house for some treats and bed time...

We have metal monuments of our pets, Duvet our Bichon Frise
that passed 8 years ago and now Sumatra... They are placed
at the foot of this Blazing Autumn Maple a symbol
of the markings they have made on our  hearts...today, tomorrow, always..

  12. Samm, I love your sweet new kitties. Tell me, how can you get a cat to sleep in a bed? My cats sleep all over the place, wherever they like! You make me think my husband is right; when our old cat goes, as he will since he is 16 years old now, we should get new kitties too. I am looking forward to lots more pictures of your new sweeties. I can't wait to sea what Tea cup thinks of this. She will have an opinion I am sure.

    1. HI Charlotte, when all our cats came home we would always put them in their wee beds by our bed, I think them knowing you are near relaxes them, so day one they have always been in our bedroom at night...they have a huge tower and lately t-cup has been sleeping on her own pillow above mine...I think she has been lonely for Sumatra, so she is relishing my warmth....WE are good at socializing them so I think T-cup being older will be welcoming of some activity..we will see...she knows she is a main cat...and having 2 kittens, well i was happy with getting one...it ws DAvid who thought 2 would be better...now we are more than ready.. x
