Would you call this SERENDIPITY?

I love our local farmers, at this time of year they have such a treasured Harvest to share to our community.   I spent my morning yesterday gathering some seasonal fruits and veggies and dropped in at Cherry Lane for some cherry filling that is by far the best I have ever tasted. As I will be baking  more pies in a couple of weeks, beside apple ones, you just gotta have some cherry pies too... Nothing like a fresh baked tart pie of summer- on a cold winter day.

While I was in their cute Retail shop at Cherry Lane, this big bold beautiful POLKA DOT teapot  just shouted to come home with me... I knew it  would be so welcomed in our kitchen. Our new stove was delivered yesterday and our gas fitter was here very bright this morning. I had not even seen the stove until it arrived and must say was deliciously surprised...it is really perfect, 5 burners, convection, duo stoves....I just took out some pumpkin pies and pecan pies out of the oven this morning and being it is Friday, fish rolls are on the menu for supper. I had them all prepared last night, all they needed was to be baked.... ( again these are only 6 inches in size, perfect for us)

Just a couple more of my fav teapots...look at the blue bird..her wing
holds your tea bag...I have had this one for years...
JOY in my mornings with my tea.....

Will you look at the beauty of this photo...her story brings even more beauty...
SAME TEAPOTS...get out of here!

Now what is funny about this story is I had not planned on adding a RED polka dot tea pot to my collection of pretty teapots. I have some lovely ones but how do you let this go by ?

I shared this with Cori, turned out she also had purchased the EXACT brand and teapot the very same day too.... I had never talked about it as I was not planning on a RED polka dot teapot. Now how do you explain that?....WE are working on new PROJECT that will involve teapots, she said she had been thinking of this exact one...EXACT one....it is so weird. Remember the TWIN china buffets....( I am planning on painting it next week now that our weather has cooled some)
We both ended up finding one within days of one another and we are thousands of miles from each other, and the cost was within 20.00 Cori's is on the left, mine on the right....photo was taken from the  antique shop in our town.
It is now ready to be painted next week...I have it all sanded and the paint is on order...

How can you possibly explain our exact taste for some things? This has happened more times than we can remember.  WE will work on our Paper Ladies and come out with the same colours. We will be searching for patterns or yarns and our taste and likes are always matched. Serendipity is at play constantly with us...   Paper ladies for October is almost completed....

I have never ever been so perfectly matched with a creative soul like I have with Cori. Wait till you see the quilt we designed for a contest. I believe we will be able to share it in a couple more weeks.
We have so many things planned for the new year...a couple wonderful creative crochet projects that will have you melting in warmth...

It has been a very challenging year for our family, I have learned to enjoy every moment as if it were my last. I adore every day I get to share my life with my wonderful devoted husband, my family is by far the most important thing in my life. Our cats, T-cup and Sumatra are gifts to us. Every day they are still here with us is worth celebrating. I get to do things I want to do....I am not being pulled in every direction anymore. There is an incredible sense of peace and inner comfort that comes from celebrating every day with YOU.   I have the most wonderful friends, friends that bring out the very best in me. That is the happiness and gratitude I feel every day...Call it Serendipity, but I think it is all unfolding the way it is suppose to...

Embrace each day, each day you get to spend it with loved ones...YOU are very lucky if you have that, everything else will fall into place...It always does....wink. I am off to bake a few more pies....

YOU so matter!

p.s I already got a few emails who said 'I want a friend like this"
" I want a friend like you have in Cori"

WELLLLLLLL, there is no secret formula but I have learned this...
If you have someone in your life who does not bring out the best in you %100 = goodness,
say goodbye, there is one there waiting to come in and brighten your life with pure JOY....

You can't have complete JOY unless you are willing to give it too!
It has to be a relationship of give and take....it does not work any other way!

Cori and I were not lucky....we have  had many sad and painful moments..
but it was all worth it..... If we never experienced a less than perfect friendship how would we ever
recognize a perfect one.....

I recognized it.....

There are many lessons in life ... and I think we have experienced many of them just this year ... and still there is a sense of comfort that as each day unfolds some are sweeter than others ... we have to worry less and smile more. Each day can shine such brilliance .... it blinds me in tears sometimes ... x

We ARE perfectly matched...in every way....I am constantly surprised how often we chose and do the exact same things. It is unbelievable....miles...and miles apart, but so connected at heart. I am excited to embrace every day for the absolute surprise it holds. Now I am going to wipe away a tear....and be off to start my needle-turn version of our October lady. 7. It is a gift, it restores our faith in womankind....so many are not joyful or giving. What a treasure to find good, good friends -- even if they are miles away from us -- we can feel so close!

  8. This is a sweet post. I like tea pots, I do not have many. When I do find one, I give it to my sister because she collects them.... or just happens to have a very nice bunch of very special tea pots.

This ends like a love letter. It is great to have friends and sisters and daughters that love us for what we are, good and bad haha. They encourage us, and we encourage them. that is the best thing in life, certainly the very best indeed: Love.♥️

♥️ Have an absolutely delightful week-end.
It is very very dreary here in No Va and it will be the whole week-end
There is a rain storm off the coast of NC but we will just get the clouds and a bit if a drizzle.
A great day to get a lot of things done, then go check on my parents. Both 92 now.

  10. Some people asked the other night how long my friend Christine and I had know each other - we counted - about 29 years! But as you say the light ( of friendship ) shines bright in the darkness. We have done all the happy joyful things but all the miscarriages, deaths, and other sad things too.

Love your spotty tea pot. Did you know my whole dinner set is red with white spots! Ha! It is such fun!

  11. Your friendship with Cori IS amazing, and yet kind of sad that you don't live closer together. I have that feeling with a blog friend that lives in California. I used to really enjoy your blog hop posts. But I have to say that I really like the change in the focus of your posts now even more. Can't wait to see what you are cooking up for next year. I'm so glad you mastered crochet, too!!

  15. I am ready to start "uncluttering" my life a bit too. Not quite there yet, still some journeys to be completed, tasks that need doing, but your blog encourages me. Seeing you find contentment and joy in simple things gives me hope that it is possible and I keep working toward that goal. Maybe I need a teapot as a visual reminder. Hmmm? ;)
