Happiness can be found...

and  all in the most amazing places...take for instance our morning rituals...I am so happy when I reach for my coffee cup  today it is a my LOVE CUP,  I have the perfect blend ready in a simple pod ready to be brewed...

As I always begin in day with my half of my muffin, it is also a happy smile when I find there is still
some in my muffin jar...David gets up earlier than I, so it depends if he has packed extra in his lunch
if he is having a later day at the office. Ahhh today that was not the case...so I am happy to begin my day with substance....No baking today, and besides it is still very warm here, we have had a heat alert now for a few days..very unusual for us...A/C has been on non stop...even that is a happiness factor.
We can stay cool....( I much prefer the windows open) that will come soon enough!

Happiness can be found in order....Every September I take 2 weeks of binging...this year
it is finding homes for bins of fabric that I know I will not be using any time soon.
Much of the collections I have on hand, were must haves- I had so many plans for..
..but taste change, colour hues that were
once a favourite have been replaced with even brighter combos....

Although I never ever tire of GINGHAM....
some small gingham found it's way here the other day..
RBD has brought back the small gingham...
Remember last summer our SAVE GINGHAM campaign...it worked.....
I am so Happy they have GINGHAM for me and others this year!

some projects that will be t-towels for our kitchen

So my plans is to rid of a few bins later this week and next..... that will make me very happy.
( there will be no gingham in there)

I just have to finish this quilt today, hand quilted it all, and I am almost done,
I have spent quite a few hours on this...but my oh my it makes me happy...
( we will be even happier when we can show you, more later )
Cori and I designed this together....

Ahhhhh as the cooler weather will be coming that I know for sure..
I will be more than happy to crochet these next few months
and although I have known this company for many years...
When I knitted, they were my favourite yarns to purchase...

some of their yarns and colours!

just some of my favourites...
check here.. just put your zipcode....a list comes up!

suri merino( alpaca and merino) my fav like cashmere!

 worsted cotton ( 100% cotton)
suri merino ( merino and alpaca)

skinny cotton ( 100% organic cotton)

 melange ( 100 % alpaca)

I have renewed my relationship with them for this sole reason....
THEY HAVE IT ALL...the colours which my no means compares
to anyone ( that I know of anyway) are outstanding...
Their selections of cottons and suri merino..( like cashmere)
their newest additions of washed wools and cottons
makes them my company of choice for YARNS...

I have to place an order some time today...Cori loves
them too, so our order will reflect the projects we will be tackling
very soon. We think you will love our projects and they will
be pretty easy to crochet or knit up for Christmas giving...
And that too will make me extremely HAPPY.

What is stopping YOU from being HAPPY...?

  4. Good morning Samm - I've also had my muffin this morning and am now busily doing laundry, stripping beds, etc. after my company left. I'll be off again tomorrow to a funeral and then on to spend a couple of days with my son and his family so I'm loving today here at home. We even had a little rain shower this morning and the weather man is promising a cool down tomorrow, just in time for a football game....gotta love that! And gingham, well I'll be looking for some black and white next week. I've decided to make a kitchen valance in gingham - I'm planning to add a new countertop in black so that will be perfect to set off the curtains. Or the other way around. :) blessings, marlene

  5. I have been blessed in being observant of small moments of bliss. Sitting on the back step watching a butterfly in a quiet moment. Looking out a window and seeing my pugs stretching on their backs to catch the warm sun on their tummies with a look of sublime contentment on their faces. Beautiful horses grazing in the pasture. And now my grandson, when he gives me a mischievious look and runs laughing through the house. These moments are life! Thank you for adding to mine by sharing yours.

    1. I think the wisdom comes from being PRESENT, enjoying every moment that you have and relishing all the good that comes, because what I am noting more and more, things change quickly ...gratitude plays into it too...I just think we need to be more grateful...x
