GET HERE T-cup......... Paper Ladies August

Yes Cori's pretty August Paper lady made the cover.... Isn't she stunning.?.. It is that time of year, when we are digging up our sweaters and shawls for the Fall...WE both have enjoyed designing her and sharing her with you...
Wait till you see the one for September..... Working on these Paper Ladies are pure JOY. I  just printed off our September, so I will be working on her today and tomorrow...

( pattern is almost finished writing,
so it will be ready tomorrow)

I would have had it done this weekend, but the other day..Friday we had a missing Cat....our gorgeous T-cup who is 16 years old  vanished for 7 hours. Never ever has she ever left our gated yard until that morning....We knew she has not been herself, so we thought , the long goodbye was here upon us. David and I were both beside ourselves, we looked everywhere , any place we thought she would go to hide and be alone. At around 2:00 pm, I made a couple posters and set out to place them on the mailbox. At the exact time I was taping her photo to the side of the mailbox, a neighbor was pulling out from the garage to wash his car. He shouted to me, "I saw her this morning"...Apparently she was at the other end of the street, only 3 doors from our home...

I drove to the other end, and saw we had new neighbors moving in...ONE husky gentle man, could see how upset I was, kept reassuring me " YOU will find her, I saw her about an hour ago, go next door and ask there" He put two thumbs up... I went to the neighbors and a sweet man said he also had seen her, she did not want to be picked up but he knew she was someones as he could see her collar...

I called her name just then and with a glimmer of hope praying I was not too late.....She heard me, she came out from a bush next door to this neighbor...." T-CUP- I shouted...she came running out to me and jumped into my arms, putting her paws around my neck...." She immediately started purring and if she could have talked she would have been saying..." what took you so long?" It was very hot and without water, there is no doubt she would have passed... ....All the neighbours saw me...everyone was waving...I was sobbing , barely able to get back into the car and tell David who was in the woods behind our home, searching there...

As soon as I got into the house, I poured her some ice cold water, just the way she likes it and she drank almost 1/2 cup which is a lot for a small cat...

She is grounded :).....we think the only way she could have gotten out was the other day MONTY a black cat who visits often, was walking around the ledge of our home...T-cup that day was watching over her property and made it clear he was not wanted.... We think that is how she got out and maybe tumbled....

The most valuable lesson she taught us both is..... ENJOY every MOMENT she gives us.....Sumatra was beside herself ( our ragdoll)...they both have been constant buddies since... WE have a long weekend here this weekend..so we are all on our deck, relishing the moments....We know her time is limited now, but as long as she is with us, we know we are forever grateful, she is comfortable, a bit spoiled as we gave her our fav chair, her water is beside her and she is as playful as ever... and she keeps connecting with us, thanking us for being her PARENT KEEPERS.... Which we are so honoured to take on that role.

I usually have this song playing in my Itunes, when I play it she always perks up....

To all you PET owners...we are soooooo lucky truly we are.... to be chosen to be PARENT KEEPERS!

THEY SO MATTER...

  2. T Cup is such a pretty cat. What a cute picture of her. I am so glad you found her, I was worried for you. I would ground her too! Neither of you want to go through that again....naughty kitty.
You are the best example because you live that statement every day. What an amazing Parent Keeper you are, but also a People Keeper too! You set quite a standard which challenges the rest of us to be better, learn more, and love with all your heart. I love that about you. xx

  3. I'm so glad you found T-Cup. If my K-Girl got lost I'd be crying mess. I'm her watching closely right now cause I think she may be trying to catch a cold. The boys have had one this last week and now she's sneezing. Got to take care of all my babies.

  6. I am so glad you found your kitty. I have been thinking the same thing about our cat, she is now going on13 years old and I have a friend that had to put their precious 17 year old dog down yesterday. So I have been giving mine lots of love, saying I am glad I have a few more years (I hope), left with her! I know you will enjoy your time with T-cup, however long it lasts!

  9. adorable as always.
Oh Missie, I know you were horrified. When Prinnie was 16, she started getting silly and bold.
She was my beautiful white cornish rex sweetums. Cornish kitties cannot go outside. They are like Monkeys and have no boundaries . I am SO GLAD you found her. My boys are in the house always. They love the smell of outside but I will never let them out. They would not live a day.
I know you panicked and rightfully so. whew I am relieved. She is so adorable.
Perhaps you could put some thing up to prevent Monty from coming close..... electric fencing or barbed wire :-D♥️

  16. A sad story with a happy ending! We don't have cats but have a rescued dog. When we first got her, if she got out she would run and run! Would need to go find her. We have had her now for about 2 years and she now knows where home is but doesn't go outside the fence unless the gate is open and someone she wants to love on is there. We all love our pets. Take Care & Be Safe

    1. I think it matters not what kind of an animal..if you are looking after these beloved souls...you are so special....I think they certainly know when HOME is where the love is...T-cup has been glued to us since....we really think she must of fallen off the ledge and was not sure how to get back....so she wandered...well she is grounded now and she knows it .lol..How wonderful that you rescued a pet..such a bit heart you must have..

I know you understand....and it is never easy to let our sweet felines go....xx
