Time to begin FRESH again.....Paper Lady Update ( August)

I gather you all had a delightful weekend, OUR TIME is so precious
on this planet, anytime we get to spend with those we love
is like pennies from heaven, worth every cent...

We had a lot to accomplish this weekend -
all of our supplies came in and we put many to work to build
our inventory once again...All shipments are already on the trucks...

There is more to read HERE...click to open page

So I  had some time for me...
so I gathered some hankies and tried to settle on our AUGUST Paper LADIES...
This one, will be stunning, I almost completed her but I am only showing
you a sneak peak...she is holding up a cardigan...so I tried to dress here with that in mind..

I chose 2 hankies....the white one below was used as the scalloped edges would look
pretty for the bottom of her sweater..
Her dress is made from this fine linen hankie I purchased on ebay...

Wait till you see her completed....again she may be my favourite..
I know Cori has completed one of her too...She always makes 2 for each month...

I gathered a box of hankies that were in storage for awhile and washed them all up..
these are some of my Christmas collection ones..

And here some spring and white ones along with my summer nighties...
I just love our yard when I see some of my linens on the line...and the smell, well it is as sweet
as the flowers that fill this lovely setting..

And our pear trees are already taking shape...so far both of our trees have at least 30 pears each..
enough for a few jars of pear sauce....

and our Daisies are blooming...these are in our front yard...they just keep multiplying each year...
I have quite a few in the backyard too...

Is there anything as simple as a daisy....so clean and fresh and
oh so pure..

and My tomatoes fill our garden, they are over 4 feet tall, and some wee tomatoes
are already sprouting through....I see lots of salsa in our future..

Now it is time for me to spend sometime with my ME this morning..
as I begin each day with my MUFFIN TO LOSE...( new posts over here)
top 7 reasons why you should consider a muffin a day for a better YOU,
and a story about TANG....

I am off to town this afternoon to get my IMAC looked at
and pick up some FOAM for another wee project...

Thanks for dropping by...

YOU Matter..

  8. Wow, Samm, I am surprised that you even have pear tree in your garden :) Do you usually make jam with these pears or just eat them fresh?

    1. HI Maria....we have 2 pear trees. you must have a pair to get fruit..makes sense...a male and a female..you know ...birds and bees and all. I actually make Pear Sauce..like apple sauce....I just cook them down like apple sauce..no sugar just a bit of lemon juice to keep them from turning brown, then I can them.. We love them with some of our meals in the winter when you want a touch of fall...

  11. I have to admit...anything on the clothesline is always some of my fav photos...I think too it is because the memories that they bring forward is my Nanny always had the greatest smelling linen closet...everything in there had been on a clothesline...they just smell so sweet.. and our garden has been giving us beautiful blooms...our hydrangeas are now in full bloom.

    1. ahhh there is something about clotheslines that was a deal breaker for us when we build this home...they all laughed of course...but now our neighbours had wished for a clothesline too...so I guess we are here to stay lol
