I need a new Clothes PEG hanger..

I made these a few years ago...it is time to make a NEW ONE...
Now I looked everywhere for a NEW pattern to me inspired with...

Came up with NOTHING...soooooo  I am going to use my own pattern
and re design it to be even more STRIKING lol...

( Pattern will be $10.00 on Monday, today it is 50% discounted)
Many coloured steps...

and before I even began cutting....
Yep that is on my list today...
I washed more HANKIES that arrived yesterday...

These are all vintage and in excellent shape...my boxes
are getting very full, I think I may have to get some more boxes...lol

And these are the PURESTS....I have a couple boxes of just whites with embroidery...
I signed up for a class on edgings ...I have never really crochet but now I want to learn...so
that is my near future...EDGINGS lol.

I ended up selling these to some neighbours...
they still have them...

Cute yes...but I need something with Yes GINGHAM lol...And I just so happen to have some LINEN and some RBD Laminate GINGHAM.....wink..

  1. Oh I love all the "new" hankies...especially that one with your breakfast, now that is just as petite and sweet as they come! I will look forward to your new design, because I am going to need one of those after my DH builds my new clothesline...*wink.

  3. Great idea Mdm Samm - I wonder can you use laminates in a "normal" sewing machine? Something I would love to try.

    1. Justine...all you need is a sharp needle 16 my preference and some tape under your sewing foot...this allows it to move easily ( kind of like a teflon foot but cheaper) and some polyester thread so it lasts...

  7. Adorable! I just finished my clothespin bag but it's much simpler. I hand embroidered some vintage kitties I found online somewhere. They are hanging out their mittens to dry. I didn't have a pattern for a bag but I made a bag inside a bag (I vaguely remember that from way back). Where I tacked the bag and clothes hanger together I crocheted Irish Crochet Roses to "hide" the stitches. I'm rather pleased with the results. Now to go through all my storage boxes to find the old clothespins I put in milk bottles but that's for the winter season-too hot right now.
