Summer has begun.... look at what the BEES did!

Summer has embraced us with all of her beauty and  it seems our BEES did not
get the MEMO about this was an all white GARDEN.

I will not ignore these GEMS, even though they are PINK
I just cut them real quick and put them in vases all over our home...
They really look nice in my new Turquoise Cookie Jar...

A gift from our BEES!

My Clematis have been lovely this year, I have counted
over 50 flowers....they are stunning against our fence by the deck..

and my WHITE Peonies were beautiful..they were all in full bloom
this week...

so clean and fresh they look like SILK flowers...

WE have at least 100 Peonies in the garden this year...
we have 3 large garden patches of them...

Look at them all here....just warming up to the sun...

and my sweet Cosmos are in abundance too, I love the delicate petals...
and their smack of yellow....wellllll my fav for sure...

These are on my deck, they are minis...they will constantly flower till fall...

and speaking of FALLLLLL, I fell into another wee chore ....I re-stained our deck...
we had a box at this end and removed it to have more room...so staining was a must...
it took me less than an hour and it is now picture perfect....

Before...

and after.....my fav place to be every morning and evening...

My view from my chair....peonies everywhere...

funny story here, I HAD NEVER EVER cut grass in my lifetime...NEVER
well until last week, we have had so much rain, we could not cut it..
David was at work, the grass was almost 7 inches high..
So I took out our electric mower, took me 20 min to figure out where the plug
was, had to YOU tube it to figure that out...and then I could not get
the arms up, had to YOU tube that too....
and then I tried to cut it..
It is pretty uneven, David laughed at my first and last attempt..
I don't do SUN too well..almost got heat stroke....lol

This was taken as the sun was saying goodnight..
my black pansies are doing so well....or are they petunias...
I always get them mixed up...

This was my view yesterday...everything is so LUSH and GREEN....
I don't think ever remember our grass so thick...

WEllllllll today, I have a few things that really need my attention...
lot's of legal stuff....wink...
you will understand more on FRIDAY....

The bees may have missed the memo, but they look gorgeous in your jar. Your story about the lawn made me laugh....although, your determination and independent nature is quite inspiring. You have created such a beautiful place to be Samm, thanks for the visit. xx

  17. Black pansies?? Maybe...they do look like violas to me because of their size but they keep hybriding flowers. My peonies (Grandpa's favorite flower) are all in the pinks and reds. For some reason white peonies never have done very well here in Iowa - they look a bit sickly and get lots of rust spots on them. Your are totally gorgeous. Love my garden...I got one small picking of red raspberries and will pick again today. The smell of raspberries while I'm in the patch is fantastic!
