Let's PRESS on...... with MRS MAVEN

It is time to PRESS on to some kind of routine. So I am back to my stitching...
I have so missed sitting still......So I am working on "Bonjour Papillon"

I just added a vintage hankie to her dress and ruffled cuffs for her garden gloves..
So far I am pretty pleased..

Isn't Cori's beautiful....all that turquoise and soft pinks....

IN the meantime, something NEW arrived YESTERDAY, something that had me up at the crack of dawn.....See this box....well it is full of VINTAGE HANKIEs...they are all washed and now needs pressing..

I call her MRS MAVEN, cause look at her she reminds me of the old fashion
irons we used to put on our wood stoves..( not me personally, but I remember reading that wink)
She is lightweight, that bottom part his a holding tank for tap water
that creates steam for a LONG TIME....

THE LIGHTWEIGHT GIANT
You’ve spoken and we’ve listened. At 1.7 pounds, the new Maven 100IS has the lightest iron of any home ironing station making it the easiest, most comfortable iron to use without sacrificing exceptional pressing power.

PRESSURE GAUGE + VOLUME CONTROL
The Maven 100IS controls are right at your fingertips including a steam pressure gauge, steam volume control, separate iron and power switch and a power on indicator light.

Do I love MRS MAVEN...you bet....look at what she can do....

 BEFORE
AFTER

Isn't this pretty..this hankie is what they called a WEDDING hankie...
So delicate in the fine linen and lace...wellllllll MRS MAVEN handled her with
tender loving CARE....

And this fine vintage hankie with the beautiful scalloped edges
and so fine like tissue paper was pressed with such ease and finesse
Thanks to RELIABLE NEWEST IRON....

WOW! you all know I love Reliable and my friends who
seek for the very BEST IRONS on the market....

WElllllllll, they have done it again....
This one is MY FAVOURITE NOW...
and I have only had it for a few hours...

OHHHHHH and before I go ....

I am fine, last week was just too much wiht this mud everywhere, but I am THE cleaner and now I am feeling better, the whole cellar is empty, we had to throw away sooo many things, but at least nobody got hurt and that is the most important!
    These handkerchieves are wonderful, Samm!

  16. I'm anxious to know how long your new iron holds up. I loved my Rowenta stream generated iron, but they only lasted a year. After going thru 3 of them, I decided they were definitely not worth the money for just 1 years use. I so miss it. This new Reliable looks like it could be a great replacement! Can't wait to see what your up to next! ;-)

    1. Oh Joan, you know I have many irons too. And Reliable is the only one I ever think of that I am happy with...this new one wellllllll I would certainly want another when it dies..which I suspect will last longer than me lol
