HOW to cut a watermelon so you don't MESS YOUR MAKEUP..

WElllllll today it finally feels like summer and that can only mean
WATERMELON season is upon us...

BUT what I don't like is that sometimes it messes my makeup...
sooooooo I decided to cut my watermelon the same way I cut
my cantaloupes in slices, delicate, lady slices
that don't mess up my lipstick ....I know such silliness...I will
blame it on the HEAT of summer...

oh the elastic is to keep your watermelon together so you can easier...
you cut down right to the elastic, this helps when you want to pull them out...

And the leftovers, I blend for some watermelon juice
for some popsicles tomorrow using my
7.25 minute POPSICLE MAKER..
remember this...?
WE have a red one to giveaway...
on MONDAY...

Thought you might me interested on how I do it....
back to gardening...one more garden to complete...

Tomorrow I will have some photos to share...
in the meantime....I took this early this am...
WE had FROST, good thing we took many of our new plants
indoors..
OUR viburnums though did not seem to mind...they are getting
whiter each day...WE now have 9 BUSHES of these all over gardens....
They spread 9 feet wide and some of them are over 9 feet tall..
WE picked up a really sad one today , we are calling CHARLIE BROWN,
you will know why tomorrow..but we saw such possibilities in him....

I am done for today...gardening is realllllllllllly
hard to do....wink..

  2. That's great summer is starting to creep upon you. It's still cold here and we've had rain for almost everyday for the last 2 weeks. Lots of flooded basements. A few times we had hail so heavy it looked like winter outside. What can I say, it's springtime in Colorado!

  3. This is a wonderful tip for watermelon...it doesn't seem much like summer here yet. I live in the same area as Theresa....because that is our weather too! We are freezing today, only 55, but for the first time in a few days, there was a bit of sun this evening. I spent my sunshine in the garden, weeding, and in a sweatshirt because it was cold! So glad I still had on my gardening gloves as I rode bikes with the kids! We are still eating watermelon though despite the cool weather. Your viburnums are so beautiful! I love their big blooms, they are just the prettiest plants. Keep those pictures coming, I always enjoy the visit to your garden. xx

    1. HI sweet lady...ok, tut on pineapple...cut both ends and shave off the skin, I then use a little tool...sent you link...to cut out core...and I like to cut them in fingers...again, easier to eat..
