My Professional winding services have come to an end...

Observation.....FLOSS even 15 boxes takes up a whole lot less room
than Quilting FABRIC.

Note, they are pulled forward, behind them there is a whole lot more room for
another 15 boxes....however I can't see myself needing any more FLOSS
for quite awhile...So my PROFESSIONAL winding services will not be needed
any time soon ...wink...

My summer project of 2014 was to paint gingham walls and re-design my sewing studio!

This is my  GINGHAM sewing studio....all those cabinets have fabric in them...not
full but enough for what I will be needing in 2015...
NOTE again, Floss, Fabric for stitching takes up very little room...
* and a whole lot let expensive...just a thought...

See my ironing station...all I did was remove 4 baskets that can be placed inside
my cabinets...the last one above on your far right is completely empty...
I store all of my current projects in them....

 FLOSS INVENTORY

And how did I organize my FLOSS, beside in colour hues..?
I added some Card STOCK, circle templates with numbers from 1-15
on the far left of each container...
and designed this Inventory list of what is in each box...
It is at our printers getting Laminated....

With my handy charts, everything can be easily found now...
Soooooo now I am ready to STITCH....

one hiccup.....

I have some CHORES that need my attention
I must head to  the Post Office
to mail off some packages...
Pick up some fresh fruit and cheese trays....
Drop off some clothes to the dry cleaners....
( had to order a new washer- ours decided to say BYE-BYE on boxing day....
the new one does not arrive till January 13)
Then I will return and get busy completing a NEW ROSE
and possibly a little sampler...wink...

See you in the NEW YEAR...

My new MOTTO...
YOU can stitch it up if you like....
COUNT as in Cross Stitch..wink....

  4. Love how organized you are! Sometime on the stitching blog, please do a tutorial for us newbies on how to cross stitch on 28 fabric....is it supposed to be soooo small? or am I doing it wrong!?
Thoughts for the new year....Happy New Year!

  5. Lovely organization. I took over a spare room upstairs to store my floss, boxes, and books. There is also a lovely old armchair up there which is fabulous to sit in if I want to.

  8. I organized all mine by number. I find it easier for me to keep track of that way. By the way, I think your Michael's up there must have more variety of stitching cloth. I went to two near me and only found Aida cloth. I think I may try shopping on line to see what I can find. I should show you an old stitchery of mine sometime. I keep it in my sewing room. Happy New Year.

  9. Your studio is beautiful. Those organized floss boxes are just perfect. I keep my floss in color hues too, only in drawers. When you are designing, it is much easier to pull out the drawer with all of the same color than to have to open every drawer trying to find the right color. The stores keep them in numerical order, and you have to open so many drawers trying to match up a color. I do not use patterns that require numbers... to busy creating them! Can't wait to see your rose, and samplers are always pretty.xx~Cori
