SEASONS...... reminder of a Happy Thanksgiving...

We are taking off in a minute....I had been playing with VINTAGE graphics
and I thought this really spelled out how I feel today....
so carry on, will see you in a couple of days...

The winds are too strong for me to travel....this was this time 24 hours ago..
I have never seen the sky look like this... we lost power for 2 hours...I was even on the phone
when we lost power...and there was a homemade chicken pot pie in the oven....

This was last week....note my screen reminder of our summer , this is where
you can find me in the winter months, my first stop in my morning...
me and the birds....

This was our fall when we travelled to Tennessee......
I still remember smiling at all those berries with my MAN beside me..

And our garden this spring...

And a reminder that summer will be here again.....this is my window covering in our outdoor cafe....tomatoes ripen well out there.. i miss the view already ...

...so until then, let's keep stitching...
I am working on my Vintage fall....
I need a cup of coffee...

Will be heading out very early in the AM

so to all of our friends in the U.S. who will be celebrating Thanksgiving...

I AM so Thankful I share this time on the planet with YOU..

Happy thanksgiving...

  1. You had the winds too?! It was the windiest I've ever seen when I came home from work late yesterday evening. It was rather frightening with the trees whipping in the wind, branches breaking, and the power flickering off and on. When I left work, the power was off and we were functioning on generator power. We were lucky, not all houses around here were...saw many downed trees when the sun came up. Much quieter tonight!

  4. Scary winds in Michigan too...still 40,000 without power in Wayne County Michigan. Another night I've not slept well...between my darling hubby and the weather it has been hard to get a good night's sleep...feeling exhausted but thankful as each day is so much better. Love your photos, expecially the summer tomatoes on the window sill. We still have some grape tomatoes from our garden...added some to our dinner salad last night....they taste soooo much better than the store ones. I do have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving...Enjoy your evening Mdm Samm!!

  7. No wind here, but it is cold! I just had to order the Vintage cross stitch and the Pinny patterns, they are beautiful! Sew if you not doing the hop, hop right up and order them, you will be happy!

  8. We, or let's better say the kids, are waiting soooo badly for the snow! They have been talking yesterday about sledging behind the house... We'll see, up to now, we still have very hot temps for this time if the year! Enjoy the moments with your friends, and it is a privilege to know U, Samm!

  9. Your pictures are beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us and for the kind wishes for our Thanksgiving. Like you, I have a beautiful view from the many windows in my home and I try to be thankful every day for the wonderful things and people in my life. It's not always easy, but sipping a fresh cup of coffee while enjoying the view certainly helps. Safe travels!

  10. Oh your pictures are as wonderful as your postings. I am so thankful that I have met you in cyberspace. You and I are so far away from each other, I live in Sweden and you in Canada but I am so thankful of our friendship, lovely Samm. I think celebrating Thanks giving is a very beautiful tradition, coming together with friends and family, enjoying the meals and the friendship. I´m sorry to say that we don´t have this tradition in Sweden.

  11. Oh we are getting that crappy roller coaster weather too. For me the countdown to summer starts right after Christmas.
    Happy Thanksgiving

  12. What a sweet reminder that all these seasons are such gifts - each in its own time and in its own way. As are our friends and family...all those whose hearts have touched ours. I know it's not thanksgiving there Samm but really, Thanksgiving is not just a time. Thanksgiving is also an action verb. And today I am giving thanks for you and for this wonderful group of stitchers who inspire me, challenge me, and who share this love with me. blessings, marlene

  23. We're having sunny, cool weather here. I hope it lasts long enough for my kids to get here for Thanksgiving. We're cheating and doing it on Friday since the travelers are coming in at all times of day on Thursday. I hope your weather turns pretty too! (Although I would LOVE to see a white Christmas. I haven't seen one of those since we lived on the East coast!)
