Butterfly kisses....

Our summer has been filled with special moments...
this day we headed for the Butterfly Conservatory
the view was spectacular...

The butterflies were all over the place....
this young master above could not stop giggling as this large butterfly
found a new friend...
I love that his shadow...appears translucent through the leaf...

This one had me so inspired I created this...
sneak peak...but you will have to wait till BLACK CAT Crossing....

Here many of them were feeding...these butterflies are a baby blue, but they fly so quick it was hard
to capture them...when they stop for a snack they look like this...oranges and very old bananas are a lovely feast for some busy wings...

These two were resting on a rail to keep you from falling into a stream....

This one looked like someone took a bite out of him or he crashed...lol

Just a couple more weeks before our BLOG HOPS begin again...

SEE YOU IN SEPTEMBER is right around the corner...

Butterfly kisses till then..

  1. We too have a Butterfly House at The Botanical Gardens. It is rated the best in the southeast by Southern Living magazine and Southeastern Tourism. Children have interactive experiences...fabulous!! The whole thing is covered in net so the butterflys stay within a defined area. A most wonderful field trip for school children and Grandmama's with their grandpeeps!!

  2. Beautiful pictures, Madame Samm. I love watching Butterflies flutter around all the flowers in our yard. There is a Botanical Garden in the Southern part of our state. When our children were young, we took them there and they loved it. It is a great experience for all kids.

  9. What gorgeous photos! Somewhere in our photo history I have a photo of my granddaughter when she was four. We are at a butterfly house in Durham, NC and a butterfly has landed on her nose. It is priceless! I will have to find that! Hopefully it was a digital photo!

  20. They are so beautiful and so are your photos. We have been to several Buterfly Houses and even took Jonah who is blind but they would land on him sometimes and he would get so excited. Blessings Sandra
