You may have heard of them by now.. if not read on.

What is a drop? It's when a group of people get together to place a bulk order for a product they're interested in. Buying together allows the group to get a better price than you could get alone.

If there are notions, or fabric collections that are new to the market and you see it as something you would like to purchase  but it's not within your budget....Massdrop may be for you!

  1. I checked out Massdrop. I used Liberty of London when I was sewing clothing, many many years ago. It was pricy then, around $15 a yard as compared to quilting cotton at about $4 a yard, but oh sew wonderful to work with. You come up with such wonderful sites to explore!

  2. What a very cool idea! I joined and am looking forward to what else they will have to offer. Thanks for letting me know about it!

  3. I have joined the ALison Glass Field Day drop and I can't wait for it to arrive. I am hoping the will do a 40 weight Aurifil pack in neutrals - that is what I really need!!! Fingers crossed for thsi delicious giveaway!

  4. I have only heard of Mass Drop recently, but would be very interested!!! I will need to investigate more thoroughly.

    1. I would be interested in fabric or thread, but would need to see what else is is all very new to me!

  5. As much as I would love to win the fabrics I didn't check out Massdrop because I didn't want to register just to have a look. Besides i am sure it is just for Americans / Canadians and I live in Gremany so it wouldn't do me an good :-(
Pity...but lovely fabrics just the same :-)

  6. This sounds very interesting. I need to go check it out because I am always looking for a bargain .

  7. I joined Mass Drop a month or so ago, but haven't bought anything yet. It's always interesting. That fabric is very beautiful and would love to run my hands over it's silky softness. I'm off to Martelli's...I love using their rotary cutter. Thanks for the sale info!

  8. I have already made two purchases in Massdrop! great price point.

  9. I just joined yesterday and can't wait to have a good look at what's on offer. Fabrics are very expensive here in Italy so I'm hopeful of getting a good deal. At the moment I'm looking for batting but I've been told it's not listed yet on Massdrop. I'm sure I'll find something though... like this beautiful Liberty of London fabric!

  10. I try to keep most of my purchases thru my local shops - we do want to keep them. We try to make a group purchase with our students when we see a good sale on-line or thru a catalog - save on price and postage for everyone.

  11. Oh Bless you!!! You know I Love Massdrop!! Over and Over again I tell myself this was such a good buy~ I am really enjoying both my purchases. I Love the softness and quality of Liberty of London, just love it!! Just saw my Martelli email, such a Great buy on this fussy cut template!! I need to investigate the rest of their Redline Specials~
    Have a Wonderful Day!!
    Huggs, Nancy

  12. Yesterday I received my first Massdrop delivery! Quilters Dream wool batting! Bargain w/ free ship, no tax & htf locally. I have a tight budget, but could not pass these up!

  13. I've made two purchases through Massdrop already and am keeping my eyes on several other drops that are happening. The savings can be substantial and my experience with Massdrop has been very positive.

  14. I have not tried Massdrop yet, but definitely am intrigued with saving money on purchases.

  15. Great concept and I will be exploring this further . Thanks for the chance ,

  16. I've joined and it looks great, shipping to the UK isn't too costly either! I would consider buying something and would love to see more fabric and definitely more thread bundles - 50wt Aurifil is always useful - and sad I missed the out on the cone!

  17. I joined them a while ago and have been very tempted by the Lizzy House bracelet FQ bundle they have now.

  18. I just joined! Thanks for giving me a peek! There seems to be a lot of really nice things there...sorry, gotta go and browse some more!

  19. Just stopping by from Sew and Sow Farm. Nice blog and I'll stop back again.

    1. Hello. nice to see you and next time you drop in leave your email so we can answer...YOU are a no reply blogger which means you are likely on google plus...which voids your ability to get responses

  20. The Liberty of London fabrics are really pretty. Am I the only person that hasn't seen or felt LoL fabrics in person? I'd love to get my hands on some to give it a whirl to see what I'm missing. I joined Massdrop a few weeks ago but haven't made a purchase YET. Going to check out Martelli's bargains now.

  21. Massdrop is a great concept. They have some wonderful deals.

  22. I would join mass drop - thread and fabric is what I am after!

  23. Love your crisp white background with those yellow sunflowers. Just gorgeous!

  24. Congratulations Duff, such a Beautiful Selection to win!!
