What is your SUPERPOWER?

If you love to do embroidery, cross stitch or chicken stitch…this is your chance to REVEAL
your SUPERPOWER!!! Imagine a great banner for your sewing room, or a wall hanging for that special child of yours, a reminder of how special they are…. something on your bathroom door
to remind you to smile YOU Have SUPERPOWERS! YOU can do ANYTHING as long as there
is some stitching in it..and you reveal your SUPERPOWER!

Over the holidays, I found myself by my hubby's side for weeks and not a day went by whereby someone would ask me what I was stitching… As you can only imagine, I got a bit tired repeating myself. So I begin asking "what is your SUPERPOWER?" I was showered with a flood of very interesting adjectives and nouns…

So I began stitching some….Of course Quilter came to mind, and coffee drinker….
I stitched a few of these…. and thought maybe you TOO would like to share your SUPERPOWER WITH US….in the meantime, here is something to thing about… all the particulars will be added
when we formally announce this hop… ( next week)

YOU can begin with this…

I am a BLANK…...

  9. I need to have a super power especially since the grands all have super hero capes and the daughter regularly takes Batman to the grocery store and bank in full costume including cape, utility belt, and mask!

  11. Hello my Sweet Friend! I am so happy to see you again, it has been such a busy year nd I never thought I would be blogging or sewing again. Three weeks ago I wanted to sew up some Tote Bags for my Granddaughters, and thought Oh where is Madame Samm, I need to find her. I like this Super Power Idea, I'll have to keep checking on what the Scoop will be, and I see a Image about Ruffles. I Adore Ruffles. Can't wait to see those projects too!

But the super power I am most proud of is being a Grammy and the relationship of have with my grandsons it gives me great happiness. I can't do the hand stitching much anymore because m fingers have trouble holding a needle anymore. I will look forward to seeing what all the other ladies create. Blessings to you all

  18. I started reading your list and was getting scared I missed out. This is a great idea for a hop. So will be trying to watch next week carefully. I am not sure what my superpower is yet. Will let you know.

  19. I loved the list of superpowers but I have to share a funny. I've been sick since December, something that morphed into a nasty sinus infection that wouldn't succumb to vitamins, and all my other attempts to avoid the doctor. My older daughter had been "gently suggesting" I give up and see the doctor to which I responded with, "Well, look at it this way, dear, if I wait too long you can tell people your mother died of optimism!" I have to admit that I laughed more at it than she did! I did, however, finally give in and am recovering and have given my family permission to override my objections next time as they obviously knew better than I did! lol pbstrand@msn.com, Beth @ Words & Stitches who is wondering if obstinate can be a superpower or is it more like kryptonite?

  20. Although I never cross stitched in my life, I will give it a try ..... Abd my superpower at the moment: 10 days in the mountains, enjoying the snow and lazy dolce far niente with my 4 men....

  21. Oh Mdm Sam, your hop ideas are amazing! I love cross stitching but have been away from it for many years. I look forward to seeing everyone's superpower. I think mine is squeezing ever minute of the day in doing what I love most. Life is wonderful. ~Shari

  23. Does being a bookworm count as a superpower? Really, I don't even stop reading when I sew (by hand or machine), I just switch to an audio book instead of a print one. Great idea for a blog hop.
