WAVING to you….Flags on a STICK blog hop ….over here!

It all started with our delightful neighbours ( Bob and Darlene)  who
seasonally add FLAGS ON A STICK
that always has me smiling when I drive by.
~
So when I got home after seeing her Christmas one,
I googled FLAGS ON A STICK
and lo and behold someone had a company with
that exact name…. Yes, totally freaked me out!
 ~

Of course then I am already thinking-- BLOG HOP!
I am already thinking "WE can design our very own FLAGS"
I am already thinking " Maybe you too will want to play"
~

Yep that is what I was thinking… ( my creative muscles have
been- well shall we say…sparkling…my DH calls
me sparky- now you know why)

So here is ME waving my FLAG to all of you…
~
Let's create a FLAG that says something about US….
Some personal ideas I came up with…
~

"A Quilter LIVES HERE…
in her studio 24 hours a day"

" BEWARE of FABRIC"
it will consume YOU!

"Welcome to my land
of MAKE believe…
( I believe I can make anything)

or be inspired by some of these

Valentines is this week!

( each post during our hop, I will show you more)

Of course you will have many ideas….your country,
your name, your family's name, your garden, your fav coffee ( ok that is mine again)
YOU can create it with anything, your quilting fabric, ( you will have to take
it in when it rains ) how about Laminates, or oil skins….

and here is where you can be more CREATIVE whereby
the rewards will be an opportunity to
WIN YOUR WISH LIST…

WISH LIST YOU SAY…..
tell me more…

This is from FLAGS ON A STICK...

Guidelines
Anyone and everyone can participate in our HOPS.
If ever you wanted to have cheerleaders in your life
to cheer on your creativity….
well you do not need to look any further…

1. CREATE a Design for your flag…. approx. size of flag
to fit a pole 12.5 x 18 inches or ( 31.75 centimetres x  45.72 ) with a sleeve of course...

2. BE a cheerleader for all those who participate, there is nothing
as heartfelt as your lovely comments.

3. Please turn off your word verification the day of your
post…you really do not want to miss any comments..
YOU have no idea how that one comment can be a life changer….

4. Be sure to add your post at midnight EST. WE have visitors
all around the world who like to get up like we do in North America
to your lovely creations

5. Please ADD everyone including YOUR blog on your post
that day, so we can find everyone as easily as we found you..

6. MOST IMPORTANT, commit, if you don't, you have
taken the spot of someone else who I will be hearing about,
trust me there…I will be waving a flag of SURRENDER!

7. Add the button to your blog so everyone will see
you have a FLAG to wave….
( code on your top right, to be copied and pasted
to an HTML gadget)

The end!

~

For all those who sign up, I have a few poles
to send out BEFORE the hop begins so YOU
will have something to display your FLAG!
( you will be contacted within  the week
who will be the lucky recipients)

And for those who may not have a pole YET to display their FLAGS
 I have 2 choices for you…

Obviously Flagsonastick has some….
here is their link...

Flags on a Stick
( think flags. think this company)
She has amazing flags for every season, every occasion
they are bright, they are cheery, they will make you smile...

and

Flag OUTLET

As we always provide some  choices..

HERE is another… I came across this POLE company
that has some very interesting unique finials on the poles
The GENTLEMAN I spoke to really GOT we are doing…
His role will become known during our HOP…

of course they would have a HEART

nooo not a STAR

is that a LADY BUG ?

OHHHH ONE  more thing….

I would also like to convey, that it is a possibility
if any of YOU create and design an OUTSTANDING FLAG
the owner of Flagsonastick will share your idea with a company
that manufactures her FLAGS….
and you could someday have a REAL FLAG on the market!

So what are you waiting for?
WAVE YOUR FLAG!
( of course after YOU design one)

  1. Oh, Oh, Oh, I'm first to make a comment and I've been waiting for 5 years to make my flag. I can't have a sign in my neighborhood advertising my longarm quilting business so my then 12 year old son suggested I make a flag and hang it out by the mailbox. I bought the fabric, but never got around to making it. I couldn't decide on just one design. He will be so pleased with his Queen Mom when I finally do this. Whoo Hooo!!!

  11. I'm WAVING my hand for Flags on a Stick!! I'll WAVE an email to Thearica and signing up with our blog sponsors since they "Get Us" and I'll be ready to Wave My Flag. Here in the Deep South, it is very "southern" to have a flag in your gardens, on the side 0f your Driveway, by the front door, etc... I think I will find some laminate fabric since I've never used it before and I do want mine to be able to take a little rain now and then..
I Love You Sweet Samm (hope DH is still getting his strength more and more each day)
    Blessings

  15. I've sent my email, and created an account. I'm trying really hard to add items to my wish list, but everytime I do, it puts them in my cart. So frustrating!

  16. I'm with Shirley, I'm having trouble making a wish list. I figure I have plenty of time to do it, but the web site is putting the items in my cart. I'll check back on another day and maybe it will work.

This will be a fun hop. My flag will wave every day because the wind blows like crazy here...lol

    2. I was having the same problem. Spoke directly with Becky, via live chat, and she let the tech people know. Haven't tried yet today, but want to make sure they have time to fix it LOL

    3. They wrote me back and said it is a technical issue. So keep on trying!

    4. Hello, My deepest apologies that our Wish List on www.flagsonastick.com is not working correctly. The tech department is aware of the issue and trying to find a solution. I just tested it this morning. Currently it duplicates the items that you select for your wish list. This won't count against you in any way. Go ahead and add as many as you "wish". Again, my apologies for the difficulties. Enjoy making your own flag. We can't wait to see what you all create!

  17. I was in a hurry this morning when I sent my e-mail. (I just couldn't wait) I think I worded the subject ling wrong. Hope all is well. I just love some of the flags on "Flags on a Stick". I just registered and made my "Wish List". My husband laughs at me with the flags that I do have. Our house sits far from the road that no one can see a flag, but I keep putting them out. I tell him, I can see them. This is going to be a lot of fun, I will be waving my flag and cheering everyone along.
