Mdm Samm ( me)

We had a few setbacks this past week, which for a lack of a better
word had me swimming in possibilities…

I managed to save my Tammy bag which was not completed..but
is now and had baked cookies a few weeks ago, that were saved lol
( what we do for a photo shoot)

I also had been working on this project that was rescued
and try as I might, (possibly from lack of sleep)
I could not get it all stitched up…
I had to choose between
completing it or get a photo of my unfinished project…
Ohhh and I ended up crashing soon after…
so guess what won….?

I will try working on it some more this week
and post a pic of my completed project...

  3. I love that Tammy Bag! Is it a new version with side pockets? That red gingham is just so refreshing!

Your quiltee is going to be fabulous... no matter what!

  4. The way I see it it is finished just not completed with it's quilting. That's the way it works sometimes, 'life' gets in the way. (That's why I have a lot of finished projects that aren't completed. lol Of course it would help if I learned to machine quilt something other than in the ditch. lol) I think our projects are very lovely and will be even more so when you have the time to complete them. 'Life' and sleep are more important right now so take your time.

  8. Every time I see your projects in a blog hop, I am always amazed. The creativity bug is definitely inside you and you always make me smile with joy that such beautiful things can be created. That said, life is funny in that just little things can keep us from getting things done, but what you did do, is very cool. I sew love that bag, it is definitely awesome and the words around the runner are a fabulous addon look to the blocks. I'm sew glad you were here today to make me smile. :)

  21. This is my most favorite Tammy Bag so far! LOVE IT! I adore the fabrics you used! Can't wait to see the finished runner....such a great idea for the embroidery along the edges... Something about red and white and black is so sophisticated!
I giggled at your comment that "of course" you had your x and o cookies already baked up!
But hope your flooding issues are over and done with now.

  24. Thanks! I enjoyed this hop. Before, I was mildly interested (only 3 FPP projects going) in Foundation Paper Piecing. Now, I am "on a tear" to get back to it. I visited Soma's blog, and, well. Oh dear. If you do this to me with the Ruffles hop, I will have so many projects going they will consume me. I have a reawakened love of FPP but surely you can't make a girly-girl out of me. I mean, I am just not the ruffles type. Right?

  25. Even with all of the setbacks you have created some wonderful projects. I LOVE your Tammy bag and the runner is going to be beautiful. Thanks for another fun and creative hop.

  26. OOOps. I forgot to tell you how much I like your Tammy Bag and the fact that you showed us a WIP. You know, I especially like the Tammy. I am going to be on the look out for dishes like you show with your bags. The photo you let me use for my bog post about the Tammy had a mug I just loved and now this gingham cup and saucer. Oh. Maybe I AM a girly-girl.

  27. A Tammy Bag with pockets on the side...cool and gorgeous! Your other project looks sweet and I'm sure it will be beautiful once it is finished. After wearing your rubber boots all week, I think you did a great job of even showing up here today. LOL

  28. ooo yes, your tammies are always top, and they are never looking alike, Mdm Samm! The choice of your fabrics are great in this hop too! Hope you are doing well, hugs and kisses from Switzerland, ex-Lady Judy (well, the hop is over, so I have to leave the "ladyship" aside..... :-))

  30. Super fun hop, once again. I'm feeling slightly more inspired to attempt paper piecing, but I think I'll wait a little while. Partly I'm intimidated by all the lines, but also I am on such a budget that the waste of fabric is a huge deterrent. But it's really great to see that I'm not alone in my fear! And some of the ladies really pulled through with pieces that came out wonderful, so there's hope :) Thank you!

  32. Your Tammy Bag is adorable, I love it! All your creations are beautiful. (I especially like the striped X.). You work hard with your hops, projects and home. Sounds like you and your husband need a vacation.

  33. LOL; those cookies look good enough to eat even IF you wanted them for photos!! The Tammy bag is so sweet - love the ruffle, the bow, and XOs. Your table runner will look splendid when finished, I'm sure. It's rather nice to see that the "Queen" of the hops occasionally isn't able to comptely finish - AND I mean that in the most flattering aspect.

It's been a really fun hop. I just love being a hopper and a cheerleader. "You go, girl!"

  34. The Tammy bag is phenomenal. I love the pop of black on the red and white. The cookies are very tempting (and adorable). The embroidery in the border of the runner is a great idea. I like the red and white with the incorporation of black. Thanks for another wonderful hop and all you do to inspire us. Just think about all the other benefits this time - kitties and more folks sewing for more hops. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
