I am so excited to see what they will come up with.

What to expect…..WE are here to challenge our very creative friends to  THINK Boys!-anything and everything BOYS, tall, small, young, old...BOYS. This HOP is exclusively for those who have some BOY things in mind... quilts, nap sacks, sleeping bags, pillows...you name it if it looks like a BOY of any age would like it, we want to see it and YOU!

Recently I made something for a YOUNG Man  (BOY) in my life. This was my theme ( Man of Steel)  and all of my attention was focused on this fabric line from Camelot Fabrics and who happens to be our sponsor for this hop as well. You will have to wait and see the completed quilt and photos, I am tickled BLUE with it...( pink is for girls)  And a big thanks to Mary who managed to find this exquisite model... I am soooo into Man of Steel now. There is a wonderful story about Kal-El that will certainly bring a smile to your lips...will share on my day of our Boy Hop!

And who will be leading us into BOY LAND.....?
AMY is our cheerleader for this hop from Sew Incredibly Crazy  ( schedule is here and on side bar)
and crazy she is not..but she is creative, funny, committed over the top CHEERLEADER. So we think she is young enough at heart to tackle this hop...

So who will be here today to have you celebrating all the BOYS, MEN in our lives…? Well these pretty amazing ladies….
Be sure to cheer them on, they do this for YOU!

Bugs Bugs Bugs

Oh they had this thing for bugs
I was constantly looking for jugs
With promise they were to keep them for the night
or succumb to many frights

As the bugs would somehow find a way
to stick around  another day
It was always I who
was ready to cry….

So I made up a song
that we all sang along
And to this day
I have never forgot to say
it's the memories that keep my heart smiling!

Bugs bugs bugs
if I had them all in jugs
I would dig dig dig
till a big hole was dug
and that would be they end
 of our bug song

  1. Totally enjoyed today!! Looking forward to seeing tomorrow and sharing my project too. Your poem fits our house completely. I have all kinds of containers for bugs. Thank goodness there haven't been many that have made it in the house.

  3. Loved your picks for todays top 3... I have been having a little trouble getting to the web page so I did a search for Madame Samm and found you via Pellon! I am not surprised that they asked to interview you... It was interesting reading the interview and seeing your projects there as well. You are a real inspiration! Thanks!

My little buys loved bugs, too. I knew my middle son needed a pet when he came in the house with a caterpillar and said it was his new pet. He was naming it "Fuzzy".

  13. I remember capturing bugs as a kid. I would ask my mom for a jar with a lid. She would punch holes in the top so the bugs could breathe. I have been enjoying your poems as much as the projects.
