Last day of our PIN IT blog hop with PBtex and Bird Brain Designs as our sponsors.

Wellllll good morning...
Can you believe the hundreds of pin cushions ( 324 to be exact)
we all have made...YOU so inspire me...
So needless to say, with my heavy class load and assignments already, I did not pour as much creativity that I usually do.....But I am sure I will bring a smile or maybe a tear lol

Here are some PIN Enthusiasts that I proudly shared my day with...

BEFORE I share my PIN cushions ---GRATITUDE to all of you who
made this hop very special, included our luxurious cheerleader Kristen..
YOU did it my sweet....and you did it well...THANK YOU !
* a special treat is on its way!

I had some velvet pieces since my girls were wee tots, I used to make all of their clothes...
I just knew someday these gems would come in handy..
I had just enough for 3 variety of sizes of strawberry pin cushions..
I sewed on all the glass beads and made some new pins to go with this collection...
the middle one has become my fav pin cushion with the weight of some rice
and batting it is heavy enough to sit without rolling off the arm of my sewing lounge.

And then I found myself digging for some cashmere sweaters that had seen better days...
I made alllllll of these in a variety of gingham ruffles with matching buttons..
they are soooo delicate and they smelllll so nice as I added some
cotton soaked lavender and lemons to them...the scent is just heavenly...

I cut my sweater in circles, gathered the stitches by hand and filled
them with rice and batting....ohhh and I had a few pieces
of monkey sock swatches from a dear friend and made some buttons...
Ohhh look at those scissors thread and button pins...cute heh lol
made those too!

Then for all this sweetness, we had to make an apple...

and then turned over becomes a pear...
shhh they were all suppose to be apples, but I sewed the stems and leaf on the wrong ends..
soooo let's make a variety of fruit...and of course some gingham...
which most of you know is my year of GINGHAM!

I think I like this best with the medium size gingham from RBD...
did I tell you I LOVE GINGHAM! especially theirs...

This is a very simple design...really just a rectangle that I filled with rice and added
some pieces of italian wool..yes I cut up from the hems of some old suits lol
What we do for a hop I say....
and then I sewed on some realllll feathers and supported it on my new painted
fire engine red pin clamp...(gifted from a sweet lady)
It was rustic, and I loved it...but I could not help myself and just
had to paint it RED! I hope she won't be upset or get me to paint hers now lol

This is by far my most favourite pin cushion I have ever made..
made sweeter by the memories this piece of velvet has for me..
The young lady who wore it has grown up into a berry delicious
of a mom, wife and delightful friend to all she meets..
and a daughter...wellll darn berry sweet indeed!

Brings a tear to my eyes!

This one was worn by her sister who continues to live in our hearts forever!

Here is one that is free on craftsy..I made this for a special project
for RBD, it has been downloaded thousands and thousands of times...
NO sewing just a lot of glue ( that other lady had trouble with that) wink...
and some french knots and hand sewed ruffles..

So that is it for me my PIN Enthusiasts....thank you for making this hop extra special...

We still have room for our WICKED HOP...so if you like purple, oranges, lime greens, want to celebrate anything wicked in your life..JOIN US, you will be soooo glad you did!

There is nothing nicer than hear cheers from your peers...

I am between tests today....apologies for the delay

And fussy cutting for that button? Awesome. Loved everything today!

  71. As usual, awesome projects. Unfortunately I have a feline helper who pulls out pins with her teeth so I have to keep pins in a box or on the magnetic pincushion. It's worth it to give up a little something to have so much joy and pleasure from a feisty little black feline who with her 2 male tabby companions keep life interesting when the children have "flown the coop." Thanks to all sponsors and participants for their hard work in making this blog hop a success. I'm looking forward to the batik bonanza, one of my favorite fabrics and ideas from the 60's-it can't get any better than this!
