  13. I LOVE working yellow into my projects! It gives such a sunny sparkle. My sister thinks yellow is my favorite color, but I've always thought it was red-orange. Maybe I should rethink that! I DO love sunshine, after all! Those fabrics look like a lot of fun! The stack in the middle looks like good "grandson" fabric! Oh, and black and white is a given! They make all colors look great!

  17. Of course I am partial to the MAN OF STEEL right now, as he has played a special part in our lives right now! After all when you live not far from where a lot of it was filmed and had watched some of it being filmed, who would not be partial to it! Even when you son is 27 today!

  20. I like the black and white with pink and yellow Fashionista line. I can see so many cute quilts from all of the babrics. It will make a cute Log Cabin quilt with the pink and yellow as the middle block. I am crazy about dots. Love the Mellow Yelloow too. Can't wait to see what you are making.

  28. I love all the fabric combos, but haven't seen black and yellow used together in a long time. I have a bunch of black and white 4" squares from a shop hop and haven't decided what to make with them, but I like the coordinates in that bundle too. I would love to see what you're making. I've always wanted to make a casserole carrier, but have never had an occasion to use one! What I really need is a way to organize my plastic quilting rulers/templates and I'm thinking about a shoe bag type hanging. I recently made a tissue box organizer for my sister's Prius. Cars don't come with a place for tissues and with our allergies, we need one. So I used needlepoint canvas as a frame and made it so it will fit two square boxes of tissues: one for the tissues and another "empty" one for a waste basket-another things many cars don't come with. I put a long strip of the sticky side of the velcro on the bottom so it sticks on the carpet between the console and the dashboard. I used blue denim( her card is blue) and a coordinating print for the lining. My sister liked it so much she asked me how I did it so she could make one for a friend. Maybe we should have an "invention" hop so quilters could showcase projects like this that were made to fill a need, but there is no pattern. I'm sure we've all done something like this.

  30. I love the Fashionista fabric! Beautiful! I'm busy working on ho, ho, ho, and a project to present to my local quilt club on Tuesday. It's a good thing it is so hot, because it is keeping me inside where I can get my sewing done by the next deadlines! LOL
