.... PUT your STAMP ON IT....

Good Morning Ladies.... how are you are? Although I am moving at a gentler speed per say, my mind is racing at the possibilities of what a few weeks off will bring. After our Stamp on it,
we will all be taking some time off.... ( Thearica from pig tales and quilts will be cheering us all on on this one)

But before that time comes let me say I came across a request that was hard to refuse...a fabric company was looking for some new project designers and asked if I could help...WELLLLLLLL, I chose 3 ladies who have been in  numerous blog hops with us, whose work is superior, who can be counted on time and time again for excellence, who has won many top 3's and guess what?...They will be new project designers as well as myself and let's just say you will love what you will be seeing very soon.

These ladies are super excited as I am ...There are so many perks to getting involved with us here at
seewequilt.com. If they did not know before, they certainly do  know now... Yep- something else that will stir your creative juices...I am super excited for them....Will let you know more details realllll soon!

I am working on a quilt design that will be incorporating this quote that I have been repeating for many years...it will be an inner banner with a Lady gentling nudging a sweet tot to move forward....it will
have a winding path with this quote...

" I am always behind you, pushing you gently forward"....I have been saying this to my kids and my cheerleaders in fact for a long time....I don't ever really lead....I am always behind everyone of YOU, pushing you forward... YOUR successes are my successes...Funny how that works out...

I am a bit melancholy today, perhaps just excited at the possibilities this year will bring for many of you....

For July although we will not have any blog hops....I will be reviewing some Oliso irons ( 3 to giveaway) some needle threaders from Colonial Needle, which are best, some new Tammy bags to show that will match some quilt designs, a new design for a needle case that I am really super excited for....I have been designing in the background a few new bags too, a box one, all with handles of course, and all will be done with ease like the coin purse and Tammy bag.

I thought I would ask...since I do have quite a collection of cups, would you like to see more of them as
snapshots when I pop in again?

p.s. I am also working on A MAN OF STEEL quilt....for a very special young man...will show
the design real soon! It will be a free pattern...

It is finally summer weather now, even though officially summer is not here till the 21st of June...
I am sitting here on our very Ralph Lauren Deck, peaking up at our lovely garden of white, wishing you were here with me....

Talk soon

Peonies in bloom .....we have 4 patches in our garden, the hummingbirds are a buzzing...

WE have 2 pair trees and we have dozen of pairs growing...
I will be canning lots of pair sauce in the fall...

These are perennials, I simply forget what they are called...we have many of these growing in our garden....they have lacy petals..Dianthus thanks to Katherine for the name!

  6. Hi Samm... I would love to see your teacups...as one having a collection of blown glass, I always enjoy seeing what other people collect.

I am looking forward to the Stamp On It Blog Hop and am excited to see what everyone has designed. It will be good for you and for everyone to have a small break but it appears there is still a lot going on. I will be anxiously waiting to see the new projects you are designing.

I would love to be on your design team in the future. :)

  7. Looking forward to seeing all the new designs and designers in the works ... and I always enjoy seeing your "mug" shots! I put my final project and the finishing touches on my scheduled Stamp On It post yesterday. Although I have much to do in the month of July, I shall miss the regular blog hops and will enjoy the surprises that may pop up here on your blog. I am sipping coffee here with you as you enjoy this summer day on your deck. To borrow a phrase from another friend of mine ..."Hugs and Stitches"... :) Pat

  17. I love that you add your cups to photos - it's such a sweet and colorful touch! I had a ton of them years ago and gave them all away - don't remember why, but I sort of regret it - guess I need to start a new collection! Again, contratulations to you and the other ladies on being project designers - very, very exciting! Take care, Suz

  23. Congratulations to the soon to be project designers. What an honor for them and for you! I think you even have said, you don't know where the next designer may come from but the hops sure do provide a forum for a lot of talented quilters, crafters and sewists. You give us all a place to shine.

I love the cups/mugs and thought they were a fun part of the say it with flowers hop. We may be taking almost of month off from actual hopping but I know the work goes on behind the scenes, regardless. We'll still come by to see what you are up to!

  25. Oh lovely Samm even if you are relaxing you seem to be very busy. And I am so curious to see what will be your next moves. And one month off with other things than preparing a project for blog hop , well I have so many ideas in my head. I must start tomorrow with my stamp, but I was so up in the Christmas project, that I have made a Christmas the top during the last days. Your blog hops have certainly made my creative mind have a really spin off. And of course I want to see more of your wonderful tea and coffee cups.
The pictures from your garden is so lovely, thanks for sharing them and for sharing your wonderful ideas.

  26. It all sounds so exciting! Looking forward to all of it. I need a needle case and while I don't need an iron who wouldn't love a chance to win an Oliso. I'm happy July will be quiet because I spend too much time on the computer playing when I have other things I should be doing. Rest up, feel better, and then yes, share your teacups. (Any antique mustache cups?) OOOh how about another mug rug hop, designed around your cups. Quilted saucers? Coasters? Placemats? Okay. I'll give it a rest now.

  27. Well it sounds like we need the month off to prepare for the remainder of the year. Congrats to the new project designers. I for one look so forward to having them help me expand in my quilting pursuits. Doing hops with you and yours has been responsible for so much of my growth. Enjoy your version of down time. Rest up and feel better. Enjoy that wonderful view of the beautiful flowers. Regarding your photos of cups. I live vicariously through those photos. I try to minimize anything in my life that would require dusting. A cup collection would take away from my sewing time to dust. I'll sit here and happily lust after yours. Take care.

  30. My peonies are done and over...:(. That's a gorgeous color. The last ones, I think, are dianthus (?sp); my mom called them pinks because the ones she had were usually always in shades of pink. Congrats to you and the others for becoming project designers/engineers!! I've got a couple in mind - really, I feel comfortable in my choices. lol I love your mugs! You mean there are more!!!??? My husband gives me grief over the mugs I have but I tell him I get tired of the same ones and need to swap them out to keep myself happy. (He's very utilitarian!!...and sweet!)
