I am likely your last visit on this lovely hop...
So thank you for embracing us all this week..
It certainly filled our hearts with lots of love..
Here are todays ladies with plenty of HUGS AND KISSES to share.
It is the day after our Valentines day....
I married my prince charming! We don't need Valentines day to celebrate the love that is sooo much part of our daily lives. It is ALWAYS the little things that mean the most. ALWAYS is our word. It has been our WORD since we first met almost 24 years ago. ALWAYS was the word we shared on our wedding day, 10 years to the hour and day we met... Yes we dated for 10 years. ALWAYS will be our word till our last breath.
Last year I was soooo into paper piecing, this year it is embroidery. Although embroidery was ALWAYS in my quilts I think I may be doing a few more pieces this year . I created these 4 designs to go into my office to remind me ALWAYS that LOVE fills my heart.
I chose solid black Presencia Perle Cotton #12 and some Pink Variegated #12 also by Presencia. I stitched it in stem stitch and then started making colonial knots for the bottom of her dress in a variety of sizes and then her bouquet of flowers hidden behind his back.... I framed it in a solid black frame. I think PINK has become my new ORANGE ...You all know how much I love Orange....lol
This one just made me smile....I have been known to leave notes
in my DH's daily lunches...but sometimes they are not where you may
expect them..In his sandwich wrapped in wax paper, in a straw
in his pear...I know silly stuff...but ALWAYS a reminder
ps. I love YOU ! I always draw a wee me something on those notes...
like this one...
I did this in black embroidery thread Presencia Finca Perle # 12.
and some solid RED for Ps. I love you.
I just had to add one WEE TOT to this collection...
I sooo enjoyed stitching this one up...BELLA is full of love, she is shy at times and loves
being a girl. Her wee ballet slippers I just tied with Presencia threads, and stitched them up in the
same colors as above....YOU can get all the Presencia threads now at Janes Fabrics.
ohhh and before I forget just one more project...
Another note that was found in David's lunch...he thought it looked like a bird..
it was suppose to be my arm and hand lol
...Ps. xoxo...need I say more!
I love giving one of you the opportunity to win a
$20.00 Gift Certificate from Jane at Janes Fabrics.
Our top 2 of our last day of our delightful heartfelt hop...
This sooooo reminded me of these fat lips that were sold in the 70's
"kiss me slobber lips I can swim"
I know these are much cuter than that...but this lady has a way
to bring such smiles....didn't this one do it for you too...looks at that stitching?
And this one...I am such a sucker for red and white, this is really lovely..
the fabric border all the blocks...how lucky for all of us that this lady
was inspired to complete a UFO...gorgeous..
And most CREATIVE goes to this
lady who was inspired by her daughter
A paper project from school inspired this delightful piece, a reminder for certain
that she will be loved to pieces forever...
PERFECTLY done....
Winners of our very PINK bundles goes out to ....
congrats
Carol for being in our top 3 of the day...
Becky for participating will win a bundle
and Josie for comments left...
and $20.00 gift certificate goes out to
GWEN
Oh- this is what I created for Jane
for hosting this hop...
She really likes hoola hoops so I sketched
her wee tot like this..
This is Jane when she was little!
This is her very own embroidery pattern
called
WEE Tot JANE!
with her new
HUG ME collection...
I hugged this collection after I took the photo!
I may have kissed it too...it is just lovely!

ReplyDeleteRosemary B here: You are the queen of stitchery. I LOVE ♥♥ these. I can't pick a favorite but the first date one is gorgeous! (I never kissed on the first date either, very careful, I did not want to create any expectations)
ReplyDeleteI used to send love notes in my hubby's lunch bag too... and this is sick, I used to draw on the bag. I should find those pictures. He cut the pictures and saved them all... brought them home when he retired from his gov't job.
**So, I really really adore your creativity and imagination with these embroidered delights!
I love what you created for Jane as well!
This blog hop has made Valentine's day very special this year. My hubbs loves his mugrug surprise, yes, I had to cover it up and hide it when he came snooping around my office.
Happy Friday dear Missie Samm and thank you for delightful inspiration to everyone
Your embroideries are all just adorable! (And I'm a huge fan of notes in lunches, on pillows, by the coffee pot....) When my husband and I were dating he went off to college and I attended one in my hometown. For two years I painted designs all over the envelope I sent his daily letter in! I can just imagine the teasing he got, but he never complained!
ReplyDeleteEmbroidery is also a love of mine. Yours are wonderful!
Beautiful stitchwork! Using your own artwork makes it so much more meaningful too.
ReplyDeleteYou are so good with this embroidery stuff...love them all! Your story and umbrella couple is just so romantic and sweet. Notes in his lunch? What a woman to make lunch for your honey. It's been a great hop and so much fun to see all the heartfelt creations. :O)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I especially like the first one. Phantom of the Opera was one of mine and my husband's first dates as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of your work and I have to tell you that I thought it was an ostrich pulling the corner of the note up! Now that you told me it was your hand I can see it! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a great hop. Love your creations!
