a signal to your brain, telling you are full before you are...
YES, soooo true...
He was not aware of any of this...
I shared with him all about YOU, that quilters
are pretty creative, we love to eat!
I shared that many of us are "MORNING PEOPLE".
ok, maybe I mentioned that I was lol...
I shared with him, how important it is to begin
your day with bran cereals or oats with MILK for all of us
who are a certain age and still need fibre and calcium.
I shared with him I like to eat my oats in front of my

competitive ...Ok, some of us are...lol

I think the orange one would best show off my gluten free pretzels and dip, my favorite snack while I am hand stitching binding in front of the tv at night! very cool bowls
ReplyDeleteI would sort buttons or beads
ReplyDeleteOh and blue to mat h my color scheme
DeleteWow, these are really neat bowls! Thanks Ms Samm, for finding them :) I have a 10month old who would benefit from them, for sure. They would be perfect for finger foods for him.
ReplyDeletevery cool design -- I love to stir fry bits of veggies and a little chicken and add broth to make it soupy. Then I like to have some brown rice on the side, but I do NOT want to rice to soak up the broth --- these would be perfect; I could dip a little rice, add some veggies, and in the end could drink the broth out of the bowl. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI believe any color might brighten my vegan lifestyle. Changing my eating habits has been an eyeopener but oh I feel so much better without meat and dairy.
ReplyDeleteHow clever....definitely made for people like me who want nothing "soggy" when I eat. All about texture. Cereal would be a must and maybe soups with oyster crackers or chips....and from there, who knows. Color not nearly so important as function!
ReplyDeleteNeat idea...love the colors, even the blue one is quite pretty. I like Ellyn's idea of pretzels and dip!
ReplyDeleteThis bowl would be great for putting my plain greek yogurt on the one side and my fruity granola on the other side. This way I could keep my granola from getting soggy in the yogurt.
ReplyDeleteLovely bowls! I'd love to use one to eat my boiled chicken... It'll make my dull dukan diet a bot interesting! I'm eating only proteins for 7 days... :(
ReplyDeleteI must not be too hungry this morning...I can think of many ways to use the Obol that do not require food! Not exactly cool since they were created with food in mind. I could seriously use 1 in WHITE in my painting studio as this would hold water and multiple tubes of paint at the same time. The RED would be ideal for displaying my collection of old bottle caps. Another in BLUE, make that 2 in BLUE for the sewing studio to sit proudly on my bright green sewing table for eats and sorting beads, buttons, sequins.... Being a tactile person with an eye for color a PINK one would be great for the stressful days filled to the brim with leafy greens topped with berries!
ReplyDeleteThey would be perfect for chips and salsa...Ole! Oh and for my 5-year old grandson to separate whatever foods he might be eating so they don't get mixed together. After eating I could use a *clean bowl* to hold all sorts of things I might be using at the time: embroidery floss, scissors, buttons, beads, sewing thread, bobbins of thread or small spools of tread while I am at the machine, might be great to use one side as a thread catcher to throw all those thread snippets in, while the other side holds my tools.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that about the blue color dishes either. I have gained a few pounds this past year and I may need to buy a whole set of blue dishes, lol! Does it matter what shade blue? Light , medium or dark? Would I eat less with a dark blue compared to a light blue? I may give this a try and see, of course now that I know about it, will that affect the way I eat too? I have Fiesta Ware in all different colors, but I tend to grab the cheerful colors like sunflower yellow, persimmon, tangerine, turquoise. I have burgundy, light blue, navy blue, and dark purple too, those I don't use as much. Hmmm....now you got me thinking about the color blue. If I win better send a blue! Thanks for sharing this info.
Along the pretzels and dip line...I like to dip pretzels in applesauce. Maybe that's not normal. The bowl would be great for it though. Orange or Blue would be my top color choices.
ReplyDeleteI would definitly have a white one for contrast with my chocolate ice cream and cake - so the cake does not get soggy of course. The blue one would be for my veggies and dip, apples and peanut butter, thread snips and low-fat pretzels while stitching at night. Hee, hee that about covers it. Thanks Samm for a new and wonderful opportunity. Judy C
ReplyDeleteI am with patchouli, chips and salsa sound great. What neat looking bowls. Blue is my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteI hate soggy cereal - how clever! Dips and chips - fruit and chocolate sauce - ice cream and sprinkles - milk and cookies (great dunking space) - I love blue.
ReplyDeleteWell, aren't these just the cutest bowls! I would definitely use mine in my sewing room! Maybe a thread catcher on one side, and M&Ms on the other! Each time I am a good girl and drop in some thread, I can reward myself with a treat!
ReplyDeleteWell I would certainly need more than one..as I'm sure everyone would! cuz one would be filled with my finished and unfinished hexagons. Buttons and beads, Pins and scissors, thimbles and glue sticks, marking pencils and ribbon.. CHOCOLATE AND MORE CHOCOLATE!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these!! I would attach a strong magnet on the bottom of one side and use that side for pins (it would be magnetized), and the other size for my smaller scissors (5" and under)! How fun! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteskittles for one son, m&m's for the other!! Those are adorable and I would just love to try that out with cereal!!
ReplyDeleteHubby would love these. He could have his nacho chips and salsa in one bowl! My girls would love these for waffles and sauce, so would I.
ReplyDeleteI would love these just to brighten up the kitchen! They are so cheerful!!
What cute bowls. I think one section should definitely be filled with chocolate and the other side tiny colored buttons. Yellow or green or blue. Anything cheerful.
ReplyDeleteOhhh I see spinach dip and Pretzels...in my obol. Portioned perfectly for control.. *Giggle* Well...and I'd have to have a second one with Reese's Pieces and Swedish Fish. YUMM-O...
ReplyDeleteHugs and Thank you for a chance to win an Obol.
Well... I'll be darned!! This is soooo cool! I love the blue or white and it would be perfect for Guacomole and Nacho Chips!!! mmmmmmm!!
ReplyDeleteI would put granola and milk in a blue bowl. Or my dried fruit and nuts for snacks.....
ReplyDeleteI love that dark blue one at the top of the stack! These are really neat and could be used for either nachos (mmm! cheese on one side, chips on other) or for keeping my crafty components separate, like my threads for two different projects.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I guess I would have to put some chewy sprees in one side and chewy sweet tarts in the other. Nothing too healthy for me... lol . This way, when I need a little pick me up while I am sewing, I have them both next to me!
ReplyDeleteOh... lime green is my favorite color
ReplyDeleteRosemary B here: pick a color? I want one in every color!!
ReplyDeletethe pink one, I would put my pita chips, and a handful of Welche's chewy Vitamin C fruit candies.
The White one, I would put red grapes and frosted mini wheats (I eat a lot of dry cereal for snacks) the bloo bowl I would put yoghurt and strawberries.....
OH there is an orange bowl, a green bowl and AND I see a purple one too ... is there a yellow bowl also?
I adore these bowls. I could not pick just one favorite color, because it would leave all of my other favorite colors behind lol
Thanks for sharing this cuteness
Oh I love those. My son in law bought my daughter one a couple of years ago. She raves about it. I want to fill mine with frost mini shedded wheat. No more soggy squares! I'd love an orange one!!!
ReplyDeletePatti
I need one In yellow for my son that thinks the food can not touch. Maybe he would be
ReplyDeleteMore excited to eat!
I would use this bowl for eating soup (which I love), cereal (and keep the soggies away), oatmeal, cottage cheese with fruit - need I go on?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I'm green with envy for a green OBOL! One side for Valdani threads and the other for my buttons!
ReplyDeleteOh I hate soggy cereal! This bowl is so wonderful! I could put vanilla yogurt in one side and strawberries in the other! Yummy! I would love the red one! (My favorite color) It would also be fun at quilt retreat, sweet chocolate one side and my salty treats on the other.
ReplyDeleteHappy quilting,
Cindy
cindy at quiltdoodledesigns dot com
What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHow about fruit and yoghurt? or egg mayonnaise and potato crisps/chips!
Great idea for those bowls and such pretty colors. I would put buttons in those bowls (after I eat my cereal of course!).
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I would use it for yogurt dip and fruit! And the colours are gorgeous! What a cool product!
ReplyDeleteThose bowls are so cute! You could use them to sort all sorts of things...buttons, candy, all sorts of things. Any colour would brighten up your work space or morning! Thanks for the great give away.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a bowl! Hmm, I have to think how I'd use this clever invention. Food or crafts, hmm probably both which means I'd have to get two! Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLove the bowls! All the colours are great but I think blue would be my choice a great way to eat my cereal as I hate when it get soggy. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteFor in the sewing room - separate the two pieces I'm chain piecing...For food - I see having a tea party with my granddaughter and sharing cookies. One flavor on one side, another flavor on the other side (that bowl would have to be pink :-) )
ReplyDeleteThese look great.... I've never seen them before. I thought of using it for chili/crackers. I hate soggy crackers and always put them on a separate plate. With severe arthritis, it also looks very easy to handle.....less spillage with a good grip. I can see it for tons of food solutions, as well as bobbin/thread holders.....etc...etc. Love the green one! Thanks for introducing these to us.
ReplyDeleteLove the pink but should use the blue one! Chips and salsa would be good in this or salad with dressing on the side. I would use it for pins and to collect trimmings if it was in my sewing room!
ReplyDeleteCute bowls, I too dislike soggy cereal. I would either pick white, to go with anything or the orange to match my Tupperware from the 70's. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea about the power of blue as an appetite suppressant, something I sorely could use (I'm an emotional eater).
ReplyDeleteI like to nibble on dry cereal and yogurt, the Obol would be perfect! :)
Thank you, Madame Samm and Obol for the chance ;)
what a wonderful concept! Thanks for taking this from imagination to reality. I've always had blue plates, I shudder to think of what my eating habits would be if I had any other color. Thanks for the psychological perspective. Bring on the blue, or orange, or ???
ReplyDeleteIn my Obol I would probably put dried fruit on one side and nuts on the other because sometimes I don't like to fumble around in a trail mix to find something sweet.
Now if I was using it for something besides food I might put change in one side and keys & my phone in the other so it doesn't get lost.
How do you find these innovative things to enhance our lives? You, GO Girl!
ReplyDeleteA little melted chocolate on one side and some brownie bites in the other side would be a totally yummy way to fondue with my own little bowl. Seeing that picture with salsa on one side and chips on the other is a great idea. Purple would be an ideal color for me, of course. :O)
ReplyDeleteI a sucker for great design and those bowls are so great. I am also an oatmeal-in-front-of-the-Mac girl, so I could definitely see using a white one in the studio for that purpose ... and a pink one upstairs in the den to hold stitching materials, for when I'm curled up in a chair and stitching or hand-piecing or sewing down a binding on a quilt.
ReplyDeleteMy brain is spinning with possibilities...soup and salad, fruit and nuts, chili on one side and a place for cornbread on the other! Or, of course, Nutella and whipped cream on one side and fruit on the other! (Although that might defeat the purpose of buying a blue bowl!) pbstrand@msn.com
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredibly cool and clever item! My first Obol would have spicy queso with some chips for dipping. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it would work with cookies (oreos) on one side and milk for dipping on the other. Oooo...yum! Also a late night snackl of crunchy cereal in front of the TV. My color choice would be white so it would match my sewing room in case I decided to use it the way you you showed....the perfect treat..pretty threads and candy!!
ReplyDeleteI like to do English Paper Piecing, so would put the templates and fabric in one side, and thread and scissors in the other. Of course, that when it's not used for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat concept! On the quilting table, I think I'd load them with pins and pinmoors. On the kitchen table - ice cream and fruit. I like the blue and the light red, my son loves the purple.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting.
ReplyDeleteI would put Green Yoghurt and Vanille crunch
I love the bright blue one at the bottom of the picture. It would be great for chips and salsa.
ReplyDeleteah, purple! I think it would be great for soup and crackers.
ReplyDelete***drools***
ReplyDelete< wipes drool from chin, shakes head to focus >
Oh, so many uses. How I would love thee, let me count the ways!
1. Beside my sewing machine; one side for the thread spools I'm using on that project/most used, the other side, you guessed it, bobbins baby! Bobbins.
2. Again, beside my sewing machine. Let's switch it up! Scissors and stitch ripper on one side (nobody's perfect!) and thread snips/scraps on the other!
3. For my famous homemade Guacamole on one side, those yummy organic taco chips on the other...now I want Guacamole...
4. Oh, I just joined a Hexaholics (not-so) Anonymous bee...Get Your Hex On... I'd get my hex (and fabrics) on one side, my thread, needle, pins and scissors on the other...would look good on my sidetable as I sit and watch tv at night...
Color?
- The Canadian in me wants the red
- The Irish in me wants the green
- The Scottsman sitting beside me, well, you guessed it, is partial to blue (but does he get a say? I don't know - he snored all night...hmmm)
- The Lady in me wants the pink...
Maybe I should say - ORANGE! lol.
***continues drooling***
I like the purple Bowl. I would in a vanilla pudding and fill in the other side of chocolate pudding.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I could see this for chips and salsa, threads and candy, oatmeal and fruit or yogurt, veggies and dip, soup and a roll or tomato soup and goldfish crackers, applique pieces and thread, hexies and needles and thread, etc. Lots of uses.Love all the colors but if blue is suppose to help you lose weight maybe I should choose that color??
ReplyDeleteHow do you choose a color? These are great. I hate soggy cereal. I love all of the colors. I would have to choose orange or blue if I had to pick a color.
ReplyDeleteLove the orange, pink, blue, or green. Maybe wrapped chocolates on one side and hard candies on the other. Probably soup and crackers.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking pins in one side and sewing feet in the other side and then another one to hold the chips and dip. To go along with my sewing room I'd have to have white. What a great idea! Right up there with the pet rock. Love that it is made in the USA!
ReplyDeleteMy sister got one of these for Christmas a couple of years ago and she LOVES it. It is HERS and none of her (6) kids is allowed to swipe it :) I like white because it makes most foods appear more colorful and palatable :) I'd probably use it for just about anything--cereal and milk, cheese & crackers, apples & peanut butter ...
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors, but I would love to have the pink one since I am girlie that way. The 6 boys would never touch it! hehehe I would use it for my salads. I could put the dressing on one side and the salad on the other. I would not have too much dressing and it would not get soggy. Thanks for the giveaway. I also love American made products!
ReplyDeletemmm... either potato chips and sour cream (hey, don't judge!) or sewing feet and bobbins... I can never find an empty bobbin when I need one! As for color, who can decide with suck a wonderful array!
ReplyDeleteWould get the blue one for my husband who wants to lose weight- would be perfect for his morning cereal and for his soups on the wekend!
ReplyDeleteHave never heard of this product and have to get them (in two weeks on payday, of course, but worth the wait!)
What a great idea and I know there would be some thread on one side and binding clips on the other and would love the color green!
ReplyDeleteOh! Cereal! Or steamed rice and a heaping serving of veggies! Oatmeal and fruit! Love the white and purples blowls.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite color is green so that would be the color that I would choose. And on one side, I would put some trail mix. That is always a good pick-me-up snack in the afternoon. Since I am doing hand sewing right now, I would put my thread and snips on the other side. Thanks for the giveaway. YAH for the red, white and blue!
ReplyDeleteI would put yogurt and my granola or chips and french onion dip. Yumm. What a great idea. I love the dark blue one.
ReplyDeleteYou have definitely caught my attention. I would put my oatmeal on one side and my nuts and cranberries on the other side OR strawberries on one side and a little sourcream mixed with brown sugar on the other side OR........oh gosh......too many ideas. Blue would be lovely in my home. Leslie, who continues to heal after the wrist break.
ReplyDeleteI would use it for yogurt and Kashi crunchy cereal - yummy! Since it doesn't come in aqua, I'd love the lime green!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cool! Love all the colors. If I had one I'd use it for my milk and cereal :D
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Breakfast is not my favorite meal, but I do love unsalted cashews and dried mango. Now peanut butter M&M's are yummy, and so are the cherry cordial and orange ones, may have to use the OBOL to keep my flavors separate! Looks like it would also be perfect to use for hand stitching supplies when watching a bit of TV in the evenings. So many ways to use this fantastic OBOL. I love Fiesta Ware so all the colors make me happy! Thank for the chance to own one of these great OBOLs. jbechosend at sbcglobal dot net
ReplyDeleteThe orange to separate my plain from peanut m&ms would be wonderful. I do eat my cereal dry because I am so anti-sog!
ReplyDeleteI think the orange one is calling my name. I'm trying to eat better so a scrumptious salad would be going right into the bowl. I think I need the blue one too for those times when I need to stop eating those awful Dryers peanut butter cup ice cream
ReplyDeleteI love these bowls, so darn cute. I would use it for yogurt with fruit and/or granola, one of my mainstays. I think I hear a red one calling my name.
ReplyDeleteLove that they are made in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway.
I really like the light blue and pink one :) I would put the crazy things I've been craving in them.. Lately, it's been apple sauce and pickles.. I'm 4 & 1/2 months pregnant.. It would also make a very cool baby bowl once the little one comes and is old enough to eat something other than formula :) It would also be really handy at retreat to use for buttons and beads when sewing on little applique designs.. :)
ReplyDeleteWow your are a great artist, I love your blog. Kisses from Spain.
ReplyDeleteThose bowls are really unique, I'm think chips and salsa?? Just to start with!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi!!! You do amaze!!! These bowls look wonderful!!! Love the bright colors!!! I could use some for my wee tots and they are very pretty in your display!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat bowls. I like the blue. I'd start with my favorite pite chips which are so very yummy and some spinach dip. Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI went to the OBOL site and found out these bowls actually have a hand gripper so you can hold them, how ingenious is that!
ReplyDeleteSamm; I could eat just about anything in my OBOL...I love to eat period!! lol But I think they would look so very cheerful in my sewing room with all kinds of buttons and little thingys in them....maybe I'd keep a couple in the kitchen...just for good measure......hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteOrange, of course! Hmm. Guac and chips or maybe fruit and granola, gotta like the m&ms too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea! I think I like the dark blue best, and being a bit zaftig, I'd be putting food in it - starting with cereal and milk in the a.m. and ending with yogurt and berries at night.
ReplyDeletePink Please! Ice cream with fresh strawberries! I will just stick with food for now. Wow I can imagine the fun we could have with these. SWEET! Thank you! Janita
ReplyDeleteI would keep this next to the chair where I embroider at night. I would keep the threads that I am currently working with on one side, and use the other side for a thread and candy wrapper catcher! What a great idea. Oh, I'd love mine to be pink!
ReplyDeleteFirst, Love the orange one!! I would also keep my embroidery threads in one side, and the scissors on the other. Then if I had another, would keep it by my sewing machine with my extra machine needles in one side, and my chocolate covered coffee beans in the other!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cool I think I would need a red one and I know it would be perfect for my apple slices and peanutbutter snack in the evenings.
ReplyDeleteRobin in Washington State
assweetaspeaches hotmail
I would love any color to put my Greek yogurt on one side and granola on the other. YUM!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking ice cream on one side and chocolate chips on the other. I don't like it when the chips get so cold you can't taste them. It would probably help with portion control too!
ReplyDeleteOh boy-O-bol ! What a great invention!
ReplyDeleteTo diet today is not my intention-
Dark chocolate on one side,
and white on the other !
Grandaughter would see me and want some too
She loves yogurt and berries, in purple or blue.
These bowls are fabulous! And since 2013 is my year to begin reclaiming my health, I would use it for the healthy foods I will be eating..
ReplyDeletepeanut butter on one side / apple on the other
broccoli on one side / spicy grilled catfish on the other
raw veggies on one side / mustard for dipping on the other
The possibilities are endless!
And as I certainly need to decrease my appetite, the "blue" OBOL.. would hopefully help me do just that!
Thanks Madame Samm for a chance to win one of these amazing bowls!
When I first saw it, I thought it was a baby feeding dish. With a new grandson just really starting solid foods it would be perfect when he comes to his Grammie's house to have a bowl there just for him to use for his mashed up avocados, or bananas or peas. He loves peas! That's probably what I would use one for.
ReplyDeleteI would not mind having one in any color ... or every color ... I might have to start a collection ... :) Pat
ReplyDeleteThese bowls are pretty cool! I would love the blue, my favorite color, great to seperate my oatmeal from my yogurt, my regular morning meal.
ReplyDeleteOh these are amazing!! I see Christmas gifts in the future. What I would use it for other than cereal, would be chips and salsa. I have a dear friend who makes the most amazing salsa! MMMM!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win an Obol in any colour they want to send me. I would add caramel sauce on one side and apple and pear slices on the other.
ReplyDeleteI also think soup and biscuits would be a nice combo. For my sewing room, I am with Mdm Samm I love liquorice and many some peppermints.
This is such a great invention for kids of all ages. Thank you so much for the chance.

Recent blood work told me I am low, low, low on vitamin D! I am not a milk drinker. Apparently I am spending too much time indoors crafting and not out in the sun! I am going to have to learn to start enjoying maybe some of that almond milk. I really do not LIKE milk! Perhaps a pretty, new pink bowl will help the medicine go down!
ReplyDeleteBlue to help me with my over eating. I hope these will soon be available in the u.k.
ReplyDeleteGreat bowls!!!! I would put cereal and milk in mine :)
ReplyDeleteProbably cereal and milk or basically anything I am eating at the time...in a nice cheerful yellow bowl...a nice way to start the morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!... Color - I'd love the blue... does that give you a clue?... As to what would be in it... Yogurt and friesh fruit, salad and dressing, ice cream with some toppings (with the "blue" in mind, they would be dispensed judiciously), chili and rice... so many possibilities!
ReplyDeletethe bowls looks teriffic! I love design kitchenstuff.
ReplyDeleteI love my breakfast, I wouldn´t get up in the mornig if I wasn´t allowed to eat my breakfast.
the blow is perfect for muesli with milk.
I love all colors, but if blue will helpe me to eat less, I would love to win a blue one.
Thanks for the chance and this interesting blogpost.
Liebe Grüße
Bente
Ok, I'm not kidding when I tell you that I have been eating cold cereal every day for breakfast for at least the last 15 years! Now, I won't have to tilt my bowl to keep the milk and cereal a little bit separated-woo! Red,white, pink, orange, I think they're all nice.
ReplyDeletePela manhã como iogurte com granola ou sucrilhos com as crianças,seria perfeito deixar de comer lama.AZUL é a minha cor de sempre. Obrigada.
ReplyDeletetiacarminhapezzuto@gmail.com
What an innovative idea and design. I am not picky with the colour, because if I won one I would know it is mine and I wouldn't share!! (lol) How about some hummus and pitas. or veggie sticks and dip....oh who am I kidding ice cream and toppings!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that.....divided bowls!! What would I do with it??? I can see myself using it in all the ways suggested, which makes me think I might eat more and not less.....but I sure would enjoy myself. Such pretty colors, but maybe I like the white. I always love checking in with your blog!
ReplyDeleteYogurt and blueberries!!! Love the blue - of course ;*D
ReplyDeleteWell - I guess I should pick the blue bowl if it will magically make me think I'm full! I'm thinking hot fudge on one side and ice cream on the other - so it doesn't melt so fast! lol Seriously, I think this will be a great gift for my nieces and nephews who are populating the world with their beautiful children! And made in the USA! How can you lose?! Thanks for sharing!! I'm off to the web site for the obol!! OBOY!!
ReplyDeleteO..you BOL me over and I would choose PINK!!! I would most definitely have my oatmeal and blueberries in the morning and my ice cream and fruit at night. What a treat!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Gmama Jane
I would go with the blue bowl that would contrast nicely with my Cream of Wheat and Maple Syrup that I would let drizzle in and create a swirly effect. I am dreaming of this breakfast as I get ready for bed, thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI could use the blue bowl for my cereal and milk, the pink for salsa and chips, and the white for M&Ms and my hexies as I sew. :-). It's great that they are made in the USA! Makes me want to buy a lot. Thanks for the giveaway and for the introduction to them.
ReplyDeleteWell, of course, I want a BLUE bowl - I mean "I NEED A BLUE BOWL". (I"d like to say lol but it's no laughing matter! Will I ever be slim?") I'd use my blue bowl for my homemade oatmeal/whole wheat bread cubes on one side and a bit of olive oil with a few herbs sprinkled on top of the oil in the other side. Then, I could dip to my lips. :)
ReplyDeleteI would like the blue bowl. I love cereal in the morning and I do not like it soggy. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI would like the pink one just because it's my favorite color! They are just the best idea. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteOH WOW these are cool. I HATE SOGGY CEREAL! Or Anything soggy! Green is catching my eye.
ReplyDeleteOh cool! I could keep my 2 cereals from mixing. Coco Puffs on one side and Honey Nut Cheerios on the other side. What a neat bowl. So glad you found them and thanks for the chance to win one.
ReplyDeletelsandes@comcast.net
This is a mighty good recommendation! Hmm, I've heard about using blue plates and bowls will 'help' people lose their appetite. I love the OBOL idea! The bowl and spoon are gorgeous! What would I put in an OBOL? Let's see... my tatting shuttles, balls of threads and charms when I tat. When it's time to snack, I'll have some basic wheat crackers and scoops of my favourite peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteDepending on what size, the bigger the better-it will be food-my son loves to eat and loves Large bowls for his cereal! So, I will probably be putting dish soap into the bowl to keep it clean between uses. But, used it will be!
ReplyDeleteWalnuts and chocolate chips. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'd love it with soup and bread or crackers OR chips and salsa......it would probably get used for chips and salsa ALL THE TIME as it's my favorite snack.
ReplyDeleteAs for color, it would be a hard pick, but I think I'd go with the blue.
I would love blue or orange, wouldn't it be perfect for guacamole and tortilla chips?
ReplyDeletewould be fun to figure out a way to do a two-toned Jello dessert. could do vanilla pudding and chocolate pudding but jello would just mix together. Maybe if it was partially soft-set. Hmmmm.
ReplyDeletefor non-food use it could be filled with bobbins. maybe embroidery thread ones separate from regular sewing ones. would be pretty filled with those small wool-roving balls, too. or paper beads.
White! These would be so perfect for pasta with a side of veggies for those kids who won't eat them mixed together. Or any main dish and a side of fruit. Or cilantro pesto and a side of chips/crackers. Or chili and bread! Or....
ReplyDeleteVery cool.
Oh yum, I would have lettuce in one side and some sugar in the other, have you ever tried it?
ReplyDeleteOh yum, I would have lettuce in one side and some sugar in the other, have you ever tried it?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if the competition is open internationally, but I'd use it for chips and dip which is a big snack over here in New Zealand. I love red.
ReplyDeleteWas on the road all day, got home only to get back on road. My dad had a seizure. He's ok but really shaky on his feet, so am elder sitting . First time I had to hop on net all night. Came here first What a great find !!! Colors are all great but I am a lime girl, with orange and hot pink tied for second, lol!! Food possibilities are endless, but fav is pretzels and dip( grandma taught me well, was her fav too!!). Was surprised to see how many others love pretzels and dip! I also liked idea of thread in one side and thread trimmings in other!! Was thinking they would be excellent for sorting a certain style/color out of a scoop of buttons or beads.. Oh I am hungry after reading all these food ideas!!! Going to wish I had a cute bowl like this for my snack while going to kitchen!! Going to hop over to obol when I come back. Was a GOOD day at the quilt shop I told you about! All my samples back and invoices paid!! Yea!! Good day and now here you are with what looks like a cool design in practical application!!
ReplyDeleteLove them- especially the dark blue one- I'd have greek yogurt on one side- with a spiral of honey, and granola on the other....yum
ReplyDeleteWhat would I do with my Obol? Wow. There are so many possibilities! I could put my thread and beads for when I am embroidering my crazy quilts. I could store safety pins when I need to baste a quilt together along with the peanut M&Ms that are required to get the job done right. My mind is spinning with so many ideas... perhaps having one in my hands could inspire me more... {sigh}
ReplyDeleteYogurt and granola in a bright green bowl - what a happy way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteGood morning My Dear!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look great! I've never seen them before. LOVE these!!
They would be great for my hubby and for my little Debora :)
Orange or pink or violet would be great:) Thanks for the chance to win, MdM Samm!!
I'm a blue girl through and through! I do have more pink in my life now that I'm a breast cancer survivor. I think one of these would be perfect for putting "hair clips" in while clipping binding into place before hand sewing into place. I guess I'll start serving my guests on my non-blue dishes and I'll use my blue dishes in my multi-colored set.
ReplyDeleteHow clever! I could sort my chocolates in it! Dark on one side and milk (chocolate) on the other!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I love biscuits with honey or molasses, but I like to dip them in the syrup as I eat, not slop it on or let it sit in syrup. This would be perfect for that!
What a great looking bowl! I would love one in orange, my favorite color. I could see a salad on one side and fruit on the other. Great for snacking while quilting/sewing. Of course I wouldn't mind Dutch mints on one side and brownies on the other, either. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'd love it for hummus and crackers, my favorite! Or brownies and ice cream!

Oh I love these! I would put buttons in one side and floss/thread in the other. When I tired of that I would use it for chips and salsa - my favorite snack! Thank you for offering the generous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI'd use it for beads and embroidery floss (love it in white).

I'd love one in orange and I'm thinking Freshly sliced peaches in one side and yogurt in the other. Great dipping combination I first tasted in the hospital believe it or not. The nutritionist was my sister in law and she knew I'd be nursing my newborn daughter.
ReplyDeleteLove the concept of this bowl =)
Cheerios cereal for me, oatmeal for the husband, and in between, handwork project supplies or maybe it would be for ice cream in the evenings! Cool bowls and spoon! I love that its made in the USA.
ReplyDeleteWell since I am definitely wanting to slim it down this year I think it would be holding my hummus and carrots---maybe it would make my broccoli look so much more appealing
ReplyDeleteoooh leave it to you to find something so cute, colorful and multi functional besides! Thanks for the new gotta-have! I think i would want PINK! for two reasons: Breast Cancer awareness and for my twin granddaughters. well maybe that is THREE!
ReplyDeleteAnd in my Pink bowl would be shredded mini wheats and lactaid milk.
Thank you for the giveaway opportunity and the discount code you worked out for all of us. have a grand and glorious crispy cereal day!
Green, white orange - what do you think that says about my eating habits? :) Maybe when I tell you I would fill it with M&M's on one side, and carmel corn on the other ... or maybe I shouldn't tell that. Sounds so yummy though! iliketoquilt at hotmail dot com
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Those are awesome bowls. I cannot eat my cereal once it's soggy and I do not like soggy fruit either so those would be perfect. I'd never seen those before. Awesome idea. I do have one complaint! WHERE is the purple bowl? LOL I would love the blue one though or pink even.
ReplyDeleteOf course, because it would be MY bowl, once it's washed after breakfast then I'd be using it for my chips and spinach dip that I love SO much. Or they'd be great for fruits that have juice and cookies in the other side so the cookies don't get soggy. WHO likes soggy cookies right? LOL
I could see the benefits of that spoon other than to eat with it. That big ole' ball on the end appears to be just the perfect thing to smack onto anyone's hand that would dare to touch my goodies I have in my bowl. LOL (ok at least I'd threaten them but I always share or point them to the kitchen to find their own haha)
LOVE the pink! I would definitely use this for my chips and salsa. That way I wouldn't eat too many chips!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I would definitely use the blue one, to cut down on my appetite! LOL Tryin hard to get slimmer....this looks like an awesome product - thanks for introducing us!
ReplyDeleteThese are super cool! I hate a lot of milk in my cereal but then the top gets no milk..this is perfect..so I would put food in mine! I prefer to eat out of bowls as I dont have a kitchen table!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a fun bowl. I would like a blue one, and I would fill it with oatmeal and blue berries....
ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening.
regards Ingrid
definitly m and m's and chocolate ice-cream!!!! yum!!! thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would like green ! and pink and red and blue..... they would make my animal crackers and yogurt very tasty. oatmeal and blueberries, mmmm cottage cheese and pineapple. m& m's and smarties on the sewing table ♥♥♥ ohhh the possibilities !!
ReplyDeleteChocolate!!!
ReplyDeleteChocolate!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I would love to keep my granola crunchy on one side and yogurt on other. Doesn't that sound good with fruit too! I love the pink one. Thanks
ReplyDeleteOBOY! OBOL! I'd like blue, because I'm maintaining a 55 lb. weight loss. Blue will help me put the spoon down. I'd like to fill the bowl with pieces of rye crackers, humus, carrots, apple slices, and hot chocolate packets. Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI like the orange or pink Obols the best...and of course I can see keeping my beads divided nicely in those bols as I embellish away!
ReplyDeleteI love the orange Obols the best,,,and I'd keep sewing machine needles in one side, and hand sewing needles in the other. Then I would always know where they were. But,,I'm sure #1 grandson would insist on using it for snacks when he saw it!
ReplyDeleteI am a pink girl today I would use it to feed my new sweet grandbaby or I could use it for bobbins and M&M while Freemtion Quilting. They look awesome! Hope I am not to late!
ReplyDeleteI love the Pink bowl!! I will fill it with nuts and ice- cream :D
ReplyDeleteVery interesting! I'd love red. For my Mini Wheats & dried cranberries with ground flax and chia seeds sprinkled on top!
