Today registration begins for our NEW YEARS BLOG HOP 2013
NANCY DREW IS A CLUE!
The first one of the year and CAROL from justletmequilt
will be hosting and cheering you on...
YOU may remember her from hosting our Bowls on Borders.
She was absolutely awesome in organizing women from
all over the world, she had to face language barriers, our largest
gathering ever and she did it with composure and finesse.
And she threatened me....NO MORE GODIVA
cookies if I did not choose her...
What could I say, I love Godiva cookies...
( 1 a day with my coffee, a box last -well until
the next one arrives) lol
ANYWAY as I was saying....There will

DeleteOh boy, do I ever want in! I loved Nancy Drew growing up! I have no clue ;-) what I'll make, but I will uncover something!
ReplyDeleteAs the weeks go by I will help with some ideas....
DeleteI credit the discovery of Nancy Drew mysteries with my lifelong love of reading. I am SO pumped about this project! Can't wait to get my hands on the fabric!
ReplyDeleteI. Am. In.
Hi Leslie, I agree with you....I read many Carolyn Keene, always prefer mystery over love stories too... Ok you are in lol yes
DeleteRosemary B here: *snicker*
ReplyDeleteI did not read any of these books. Maybe I should go to the library and see if they have any.
You might find this very shocking, but... I was too hyper to sit and read. I was too busy riding my bike down grassy hills. My oldest sister did read these books though. I know she liked them.
They were really hot when we were kids...as I was in France my Nan and Mumm would always send me 2 hard covers ( no soft covers in those days)
Deleteand the nuns would take them from my room to read them...of course nothing was ever said or anyone accused...but mysteriously, they would always be returned and they would ask me about key highlights lol. They were great...YOUR sister would possibly love a gift of Nancy Drew...
I would love to be included in this hop if there's a spot for me! My girls are huge Nancy Drew fans!
ReplyDeleteI am sure there is room my dear...it will be great to see what everyone will create..
DeleteYes, Madame Samm, I remember Nancy Drew! It will be great fun to see the mysterious quilty creations! I inhaled the books, but have a memory like a sieve so can't recall my favorites. But I know I'll see lots of quilted favorites when I hop from blog to blog! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteohhh no doubt this will be a great hop..they all are....for me Nancy Drew reminds me soooo much of my childhood and my love of books...wait till you see what I have in mind...well not in mind now..it is being sewed already lol or rather pieced lol
DeleteI just bopped off an "I want in" note to Carol. Ever since you first mentioned a Nancy Drew theme I have been anxiously awaiting sign ups -- I didn't care what it was gonna be! :) I read a few of these growing up and my daughter read them all. I'll have to pick one and read again to prepare my creative juices.
ReplyDeleteI'm rather new to Nancy Drew, just read my first one, but I'd love to join in on the fun. I do hope I get my hands on some fabrics in time...
ReplyDeleteI'd love to join! Count me in!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to join. Is this the sight that will put me in. I tried clicking the here button, put I keep getting a site error. Please sign me up for the hop.
