OCT 1st... That is today..
HI OCTOBER

A big thanks goes out to

they are our sponsor  for this hop and will be giving away
3 fat quarter bundles of their newest line
HELLO SUNSHINE...
( a lovely fall collection)

And one lucky winner will also be getting a silicone sheet too
with their bundle....this is for the category of top 2 and honourable
mentions...Sew BE CREATIVE, you could win BIG...
( and I always add a few extra things too from some
very generous sponsors)

YOU can view all participants lovely entries here daily..

 Top 2 and Honourable Mention..
( see you in the morning)

Our top 2 today are ......

and if YOU are not feeling it today
then you must not love FALL...

WE are seeing many of these images in our area....This oak tree
is lovely with its fallen leaves and whips of stitching swirls...
yes a reminder that fall is never the end....
just a resting period...let's rest awhile and enjoy the view!
Ok, you rest...I have some stitching to do!

Guess WHO? hard not to be pulled into this one...what a lovely design,
and the use of a drunkard path die...well a wise thought...
the fabric choices with a dark background is welllll owlish...lol

And our Honourable Mention for completed project
goes to this lady!

Recognize a theme this morning....BROWNS?
One would think more oranges and yellows for FALL
and yet each one of these ladies chose browns
to highlight, accent, create depth to their piece..
This lady chose her coloured wool pieces
perfectly, simply stated, yet has that autumn impact..
lots  of depth in this one...

Hello Sunshine bundles can be won this way!

#1 all those who participated will have a chance to win

#2 All those who are in our top 2 and Honourable mention

#3 All those who leave comments

It pays to participate in our blog hops
YOUR chances are a possible 3 in 100 chances..
I think that is amazing...
Where else can you get that kind of opportunity?

YEP! I was thinking the same!
HERE at SEW We QUILT where everyone is a winner..

NOW GO OUT THERE AND CHEER!
for Fall and our pretty outstanding participants
and our cheerleader too CHERRY!

To a great weekend..

MAKE A FALL MEMORY!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian Friends!

I smell pumpkin pie and turkey and all its trimmings!

  4. Great day on the hop!
Is it Thanksgiving in Canada? Happy Thanksgiving! I read a week ago (I think) that you were making some pies for Thanksgiving and I wondered if you would be freezing them! LOL! I was thinking the end of November! I wish our Thanksgiving were now instead of a month before Christmas. It puts the holidays too close together!

    1. Hello Linda...and yes this Thanksgiving weekend...I have been in the kitchen all morning making some butternut squash soup...all the veggies are roasting in one oven, and the other a single pie crust for some sugar pie....( a french custom for French Canadians) it's really butterscotch pie from scratch, topped with meringue..wellll there is nothing like it...a simple dessert that everyone screams for all year...but it is only reserved for Thanksgiving...I like our harvest/thanksgiving in October because that is when we get the freshest of crops...Americans have a longer summer climate which is why you have yours in Nov. well that is what I was told lol

    1. HI Carol...yes what do you know...we have a thanksgiving too...take a peak at Linda's thread above lol. And yes these colors remind me a lot about thanksgiving...we will be eating lots of oranges , butterscotch and browns, well only if I burn something, like that is going to happen lol.

    2. My MIL burns her bread most every time she cooks it (bless her heart). I had been gone to a quilting retreat and when I came home and fixed dinner the first night, I burnt my bread (first time in a long time). Hubby made fun of it and I asked him sarcastically, "Just how long has it been since you had to eat burnt bread?" .. and he quickly replied... Yesterday, while you were gone! haha
