  3. The weather is certainly Wicked enough to be Halloween week isn't it? The Raven quilt reminded me of that movie too, Samm. That is my all time scariest movie ever. Still makes me shiver and I haven't watched it in years. It made me afraid to go upstairs in our house at night when I was a kid. Ha!

  17. "The Birds" has always scared me to death and even more so once I learned the true history behind the movie. Did you know...that Alfred Hitchcock was obsessed with Tippie Hedren?..... That he became very angry when she rebuffed his advances or he saw another man flirting with her?...and the spookiest tidbit of all, Did you know that in his effort to *punish* her for not returning his advances , he made her do the attic scene 42 TIMES!!! This is the scene where she's trapped in the attic and the birds are attacking the house...Tippie really gets cut by the birds' beaks!! The crew was too afraid of Hitchcock to tell him to stop or come to Tippie's rescue!!! I'll watch the movie with new eyes this next time. ALSO, you must see the movie *The Girl* which is about Hitchcock's obsession with Miss Hedron and how she was terrified of the man. Just FYI......

    1. Hi Jane...and yes I was aware of all you shared except the 42 times...I know of 5 hours of rehearsals on that particular scene....And yes The Girl will be on our HBO Canada on Sunday of next...already ready to record...or whatever my machine does lol. There is no denying that Hitchcock was a bit unbalanced for the most part...but no one can deny his wicked mind for directing....Does not change a thing for me...I still love this movie and all those in and behind the scenes...lol
