ReplyDeleteHI Carol...now what makes you think I was talking about YOU CAROL lol. FYI I was going to estimate what that other CAROL was going to make and double it lol And thanks, good to be home!
DeleteMy bad...there's another Carol FORCING you to make more, more, more! LOL
DeletePS. This Carol says she is glad September and cooler weather is here. :O)
DeleteOh yes I think there at least a dozen Carols who could fit that bill lol wink...
Deleteand from the bottom to the top...11 to 4 in favour of cool weather...you need to get out of the dessert... or desert lol
Hello to you Madame Samm! I completely love September. It represents the beginning of my favorite time of year. FALL!!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your dots projects (((smiles))) You are sew creative!
HI Susan. guess what arrived...she is already on my window sill...where I wash dishes..not really wash anymore...but I do spend a lot of time in that area lol. and YOU my kind of GAL...love September...sew far 2 of us like it...Carol didn't say lol.
DeleteAnxious here to see what you girls have been up to. I am sitting this one out; going to sit back and enjoy the hop!! Though I extremely enjoy Bowls with Borders. September is sad in one way; summer is almost gone...but nice days and cooler nights are wonderful too. And Marla and I are going on a trip to Pennsylvania on the 16th for a week. Can't wait....
ReplyDeleteAhhhh you resting Marjorie, this is good...WE need some of you to be cheer us on...and you a summer lover...mmmmmm 2 to 1 sew far...Although I think you are not alone...lol Have a great safe trip..PA brings many fond memories of summer holidays...when I was not in school lol
Deletelove septembner! love the fall! apples, pumpkins, cooler nights!
ReplyDeleteHi Nana...ok, 3 to 1...Yep all of that and more lol
DeleteI do look forward to Fall. It's my second favourite season after summer. There was no sewing at my house because my machine broke on Friday and it's in the shop for a week. I could cut fabric and plan projects though. And I enjoyed summer while I still can.
ReplyDeleteHI Moe...ahhhh 4 to 1...lol oh change that...3 to 2...no sewing over there...good grief...don't you have a back up for the back up lol
DeleteApple pie and cheddar cheese. That is my idea of fall. Ok, you can eat it all year round, but the new crop of apples is so yummy. Maybe your sneak peak reminder me of this? The cooler temp also gives me more energy. I had enough this weekend to try paper piecing for the first time. Thank you for your inspiration to try something new. Loving it.
ReplyDeleteHi Evelyn....apple pie without cheese is like a hug without a squeeze...lol My Nanny used to always say that to me...I still say it today...and I sew agree with you...apple pies my absolute fav, and this time of year, despite not having too many local apples, I did make a few pies and a few jars of sauce lol
Deleteahhh 4 to 2 for fall...
Ooooooh, September means fall is close! I love fall colors and the weather should be getting cooler here in the Southwest soon. I am going to be out of town a lot for the next few weeks, hope I don't miss too much of the fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Marsha...ahhh yes our fall has already started..early too many of our maple trees were dropping leaves a few weeks ago...5 to 2 lol
Deleteand yes hurry back..good thing about blogs...it does not go anywhere..and we always have our PINTEREST board to play catch up.
Sure I'm glad....I love the fall months. Can't wait to see what polka dots pop up.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Kelly
Hi Kelly...6 to 2 lol and dots...yes I suspect we will all being seeing more dots very soon.
DeleteOh Fall - cooler weather, apples, pumpkins, crisp leaves, colors of yellow/orange/brown/purple/pine green... I am ready for the DOTS - blocks made, draft done, and a basket of 'play fabric' waiting.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon...7 to 2....mmmm maybe it is because we are quilters...hard to quilt in summer..too hot to have something heavy on our laps...
Deleteand yes Dots...I half suspected you would be sew ahead of me....I need to rev up my engine lol
Well while I do love the fresh apples and most things made with pumpkin (I'm craving Pumpkin Spice Muffins at the moment) I don't love fall. Why you ask? It is because of what comes after. I hate winter. I hate my constantly freezing toes and fingers (thanks to my faulty thyroid). I tolerate the heat so much better.
ReplyDeleteYes I am working on my Dots plan and hope to get busy at it soon.
HI Michele, a summer lady, well we are at opposite ends...I sew love winter, heat is certainly my enemy, except in the kitchen...lol You have to start knitting cashmere socks lol...
Deleteok.. Michele made it 7 to 3... and I am making it 8 to 3!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE Fall and anything to do with the cooler weather! I LOVE winter time too! The ladies at church would always say "NOW it is cold" when I walked in with a coat on... which wasn't very often... Maybe twice a year in mid-February... Maybe that is why I have so much arthritis now. lol
Looking forward to the DOTS!!!
Good Morning Thearica, ahhhh yes 8 to 3 in favour of cooler weather...yep I am there with you.. and psst, arthritis is not caused by cold...our joints are like a barometer .... in actual fact if you immerse your body or wherever joints are inflamed....ice cold water actually helps to reduce inflammation... just an fyi this lovely foggy wed morning here on the escarpment.
DeleteI'm frantically trying to complete one thing for Dots on Dots but I know you'll probably have a hundred! My sewing machine is acting ugly and I'm just praying it won't quit on me before I get the binding on. School is slowing down, thank goodness, but I still feel like The White Rabbit rushing here and there. We leave a week from tomorrow for a two week camping trip - fun but not much stitching time. And fun because it was 48 degrees where we're going this morning at 6:00 a.m. At that time here it was 88 degrees! I'm sick of the heat and can't wait for cooler weather. My daughter informed me yesterday she needs a table runner for October. I reminded her that I made her one last year that spells AUTUMN. She said it was perfect for September but she needed a pumpkin. :) Children! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Counsellor...ohhh no not the machine..a reminder that I have to get mine in for a tune up ... Good to hear about school...it is after all only September...our kids here just started yesterday... looking forward to seeing what you make...I assure you I will have hundreds of dots in my creations but not hundreds of projects..lol
DeleteNot sure what the score is, but I agree with Michele up there.....I can't stand winter, so fall is a bittersweet time, not a loved time. It tells me dreaded winter is near! LOL I love the warmies! Can't wait to see your dotty projects! Heehee!
ReplyDeleteHi Jacque..score another for summer we are up to 9 to 4 in favour of cool weather...YOU could say then you STAND up for Heat lol.
DeleteI'm thrilled because it means cooler weather is on it's way! I'm a little tired of temperatures in the 100's!
ReplyDeleteHI Linda, yes 10 to 4 for cooler weather...hands down, we win lol. And yes even here in Canada, our weather topped 100 degrees a few times..sew foreign to us in the past...give me layers any day...and layers is my undies and a blouse or t-shirt lol
DeleteI love September too. The weather in September here in Sweden is so crispy and the leaves are slowly changing color to wonderful yellow and red. It is first in October they are going to fell off the trees. But I am so busy with Dots on Dots, I find it hard to stop. It is so fun
ReplyDeleteOne more project to start with the Dots. But who cares I am retired and have lot of time to play.
I have to add a little balance here SUMMER is my fav. doesn't mean I don't like fall just like summer more
ReplyDeleteI do love the fall colors and the crisp new apples and ohh yeah pumpkin custard and soup season oh my did I NOT really balance anything
