23 x4 minutes Snack...
IN the meantime, here is one great snack,
that will provide you with carbs, protein and fat.
( a very good fat)
This wee bowl is 1/4 cup of almonds ( whole)
and 1 teaspoon of your favourite honey.
When you need something to take away
the hunger pains and you require energy
to do that task that may take you
further than 23 minutes....Here you go...
( oh by the way,
I am a Registered Nutritionist
I am a Registered Nutritionist
and author)
Sew dip your almonds in your honey
and be ready for a fuel that will
take you from no energy to boom..
Well you will have to try it to
understand...lol
You can find many timers on amazon, Target, Walmart, kitchen stores..look for kitchen timers...
Although I can tell you, it may be in many more rooms than just your kitchen...
This is my fav timer, I know at least one lady who
now has one the same colour..Don't you just love it..
it has a great magnet that will stick to almost anything..
They are called Dulton timers...
and I know someone who got one of
these for her birthday, she is always
asking me how to boil a perfect
hard boiled egg lol

Enjoy your much deserved time with your DH...we'll get by somehow though it will be tough. LOL! Yes, I've used my timer and love that it really does work. Almonds and honey are on my list. :O)
ReplyDeleteHello Carol I am a day late in answering you all...and I laugh because he is back on Monday, and I have enjoyed having him around...but I seem to be more tired...lol ahhh glad you using your timer...wait till you try some almonds and honey....lol
DeleteOh, love that magnetic timer! I can see how it would be good to have one for every room in the house. I've been using the timer on my stove this week. It beeps loud enough for me to hear it from any place indoors. lol
ReplyDeleteHoney and almonds? I snack on almonds and apples, but this is even simpler! Thanks, Samm.
Enjoy time with your sweetie this week.
Good Day Katherine, and thank you..you are a good student, I know you can get a lot done too..but having a timer...really kinda speeds us up a bit...understand lol
Deletelooking forward to saving time :) enjoy your time with your DH. I'm off to town to find my own timer, I've been doing the "write 3 things down before bed" and you would not believe how much I'm getting done in a day.

Hello Robin, sew good to hear this...way to go...keep doing these 3 things..in a week..well you know....? YOU will have more TIME!
DeleteYes we are on our husbands schedule some of the time. I'm still working on my hub trying this out. What will work for him is reading it himself rather then me telling him, reminder send him the link!
ReplyDeleteSee you next week I am still on board and spreading the word!
Hello sweet Petra...ahhh yes if your "hub" tried this, he would be very surprised at how he would beat the clock..men are much better actually, when they get going, but give them a timer ...oh well you will see lol ahhh good news that you spread the news..perhaps with some honey it will be sweeter lol
DeleteEnjoy your time- I will be on a bit of a respite myself.
ReplyDeleteOhh Sharon, you are resting a bit...now that is hard to believe, I see you going all the time...x
DeleteOh I love almonds.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is home alllll the time. He works here :-P
I am def the boss though... haha most of the time
Have a fun day with your hubby.
That is way cool that you are a nutritionist. There are a lot of reaaaallly bad eaters out there omg
We snack on Mozzerella sticks, peanuts, almonds and yogurt probably every day haha
I always eat the cheese and almonds before the gym, and the yogurt after because it is sugary and tastes so good with MORE coffee
^^^^^ that is Rosemary B up there :o)
Deletenot Pierro, he can't type worth beans
And yes I know it is you Rosemary...I always remember peeps by their avatar/button...and yes being a nutritionist certainly helps me to stay healthy...my dh too is a nutritionist...we went to school together, we both were honour students, and both of us passed in the 90"s he beat me by 2 marks...lol anyway, good food choices/snacks..you are doing well, without me lol
Deleteaww, I thought it was Pierro. He's my bud. (hi!)
DeleteMS, I've been rocking the three goals. Hubby's wondering what's going on! (wink)
Enjoy the time with your hubby and we will see you next week.
ReplyDeleteHell Betty Lou..and thank you for that..

Hello Roxanne, ohhh back to school. you may need more than 1/4 cup..but stay on that..that is all our tummies can digest at once...

ReplyDeleteWay back in another century, when I was in college, I read all about the 20-23 minute time, and that's how I used to study. Worked beautifully! I'm so glad you blogged about it because I'm always disorganized, and I had forgotten. So, now on busy days, I'm back to that schedule.
ReplyDeleteHello Ruth, ahhh see it worked then, it even works better now lol
DeleteMe, me, I want to know...I can always use more time and more energy! Life is short and I want it all!
ReplyDeleteHello Alice.. me too I want it all...( that is funny...that is the name of our book, I want it All)
DeleteI'm not surprised you are a nutritionist. You seem to be a woman of many talents. Is that what you wrote a book about?
ReplyDeleteHello Charlotte. and yes it is...( I have it on my old blog, I will have to move that over here) My DH was my editor and he wrote a chapter, and I wrote the rest...it is amazing we sold thousands upon thousands...and it all still applies today...when we know better we do better...x
DeleteYes, Madame Samm, when you have the time ... I want your energy ... tips that is :) :) then maybe I can have your energy and time too !!! Best to you, Wendy
ReplyDeleteAhh Wendy you know about energy...and time...they do go together like almonds and honey..
DeleteI'd love to know what kind of honey that is. It doesn't look like your traditional storebought golden honey. It looks like some sort of creamed honey.
ReplyDeleteHello Jennie, it is a creamed honey...golden honey...not my fav...it has been alterered..creamed honey has just been whipped...
DeleteOh yes, I would be happy to come back next week. I have been using my timer, funny it looks just like the egg you showed above ;0)
ReplyDeleteOk Jane, we will see you then...and yes isn't that funny, it would be like yours...same one..imagine that lol ohhh does it has a good ring..
DeleteEnjoy your TIME with hubby, we will be here next week waiting on you. :D
ReplyDeleteOk Ann Marie..see you then...later ok..
DeleteEnjoy your time with your husband! My schedule can change at any time when my husband needs me to help on a job or like you just enjoy quality time with him. I definitely will be waiting for next week to learn more on how you get so much done and thanks for the tip about almonds and honey, off to buy some almonds!
ReplyDeleteHello Connie, ohhh you know what I am talking about then lol yes get some almonds and honey..it will have you quilting much longer..
DeleteVery interested in learning more :)
ReplyDeleteAnd would be thankful if you could advise on nut free snacks?
Hello Anne-Lise...for you and others, dates or figs with honey will help you too..
DeleteEnjoy that man of yours! I always drop what I am doing for mine and it makes him smile!
ReplyDeleteNow do tell.. where did you find that hard boiled egg timer?
and yes Thearica, I do enjoy him..,,especially when he is coming home from the office lol
Deleteand the egg timer you can look on amazon...
I'll be here next week, enjoy having your hubby on holiday. Wish my hubby had more TIME off!!!! BTW, I wrote down three things for yesterday. Had to wrap 6 presents, got that accomplished in 19 minutes. Worked on some paperwork I need to get done, did that for 23 minutes, and then read my magazine for 23 minutes. I can't believe I actually got three things done that I wanted or needed to do! I love this time thing.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Debbie, ahhh it certainly sounds like you are a star pupil..way to go there...as you keep doing this, you will find all that extra time..
DeleteI know you know...and yes wish your hubby had more time OFF...some of our men do work very hard...
I am looking forward to another time management lesson. This afternoon I am going to try the almonds with honey. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom.
ReplyDeleteAhh Patricia...I share because as my mentor always shares with me..."what a shame if you did not, look at how many other people would be as good as you" and that is why I share with you...lol
DeleteEnjoy every minute of your holiday. And I'm loving all the timer pictures. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteHello Michele...well psst it is no holiday for me...when he is at work..it is my holiday lol Ohhh I have sew many more...lol
DeleteYum! Almonds and honey sound good. It's nice to know it can be a "pick me up"! I often put raw almonds in my breakfast cereal, but I have never used them alone to dip in honey.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Linda...ohhh they pick you up, you think you can fly..but I would advise against it...physics is not on our side lol...

ReplyDeleteI had a computer glitch and it posted my comment twice! Sorry about that!
DeleteNo problem Linda...sometimes I have to do that too...I find if you refresh, your message gets in..
DeleteThanks for the great snack tip! Look forward to your post next week. I'm hoping/expecting to find some cute Japanese timers once I get to a Daiso store (a Japanese 100 yen=$1.50) store I just discovered is fairly near my house!
ReplyDeleteHi elnorac....that sounds like a good bargain for a timer..wow...you will have to show me what they look like...I need more timers...lol
DeleteI simply wear them out...go figure lol
I love this series of articles/posts on Time Management. Thank you for bringing them to us.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way i could live without my timer! It tells me when to take my morning pills, reminds me I've been on the putter long enough, and let's me know I've put in my one-hour-housecleaning and now i can go play in my sewing room. It really hleps me stay on task and get more done. I do need a 'portable' one, though. Mine is part of my microwave... it has two timers of two-hour each, built into it.
Hope u have a grand time with the DH.

DeleteI love these tips - and would love to read more. Hopefully you will be able to continue with them again soon! I have been using a timer with my kids to get stuff done or to let them know how much time they have before we leave for somewhere but I think I will try your idea of timing 'myself'!
ReplyDeleteThank you again for the tips - they are fantastic!
