IN case you are here for the first time today..hind these bowls..
but not before we add our HOPS TODAY...

The story behind the bowls..
( you will probably know this by heart by the end of 28 days_

It all started with making a gift for a sweet friend
and sharing that gift on my other blog ( with my final posting)
and many asking me where it came from.

Each time I shared another stack, another flood of
emails came in..."where did you get that?"

Flash to today...a blog hop came about..

165 ladies who made these bowls...
will be sharing what their bowls look like..

That I am pretty excited about..
Their BOWLS according to
their selections of fabrics, their appliques
each one will
be totally different...
I have not seen but one completed creation.
I will be as surprised as you...

See what one share of links from an inquiry about paper piecing
from  Sharon at Vroomans quilts did?
See what one person who knows how
to make time did ? ( hey, that is me lol)

And here we are....
CAROL from just quilt
is our  fabulous bring in the LIGHT cheerleader for this event..
 She deserves many cheers pulling
off the LARGEST  blog hop...
I think I can say that !!!
in all of our QUILT WORLD
This is the BIGGEST blog hop
EVER SEEN.
Yep I said it...

Top 2 choices today are....

And This Ladies...how could you not be struck by the pitcher full of milk
and the jar filled with oats, my breakfast this morning and I bet
those bowls are to feed us all who were first in line..
Well done, which is why the honour goes out to you for being out top 2. Congrats
my dear lady..

WE loved the simplicity of these bowls , a very conservative
choice of fabrics, claiming one to look but not be overpowered by
too much attention. WE loved this for what it is..
striking...well done my dear lady.

 and our  HONOURABLE mention

Serving up some very special drinks, we loved
this ladies creativity and joie de vivre..
evident in her beautiful piece...

    3. Wow! 15 apple pies! Do you freeze them? I wonder what a pie with apple slices and your pear sauce would taste like. I really enjoy apple-pear cider at the farmers market. Enjoy your kitchen time...my guess it must be a couple 23 minute segments....
      Time to finish hopping...

    6. Sorry about the repeats. Android phones can be useful, but then when they repeat it is annoying. Couldn't find how to delete the repeats.

    1. Good Afternoon Carol, finally was able to peak in...up to 11 apple pies, 4 apple brown betty, and 3 applesauce, and that is only 1/2 bushel. Tomorrow the rest of the apples we are going to make 4 more apple brown better and at least 9 quarts of applesauce ..... sew yes I am sure I can slice you a pie or two...WE both had a piece for lunch...they were made from Paula Reds, a bit tart the way we like it and enough sweetness and spice to make you smile...lol

Of course it takes a little bit of time to translate the pages but it is well worth it. Even toured around the fox page :) even though there were no bowls there but the tag was lol. She had an AMAZING mystery quilt really AMAZING!!!

Mmmm... so if I smell apples later today, I'll know who is baking those pies! lol I'm going to be canning peaches (already got some salsa and tomatoes done), so my house will be filled with mouth watering scents too. ;o)

    1. Hello Katherine...yes I agree a great day for our winners...and yes I could smell your salsa and tomatoes, I thought that was what you would be canning..I don't do tomatoes as they are sew cheap here to buy, it does not make any sense for me, Aylmer is a very good brand around here. Years ago we did a taste test...Aylmer won for freshness and taste. Since then I make pies instead...

Too bad we are sew far away we could trade our canning ...lol

Here is what I wrote to Carol up there lol
