( this just a POLL, would ANYONE be interested?)
A paper piecing thought- was planted
and bowls is all I could see...
I thought "what is happening to me?"
I kept cutting and sewing and stacking up high
well the colours and fabrics just made me sigh..
I can't stop now, I am on a roll
perhaps you will join me for a poll..
Should we do a blog hop, each do 3
will you follow along with me?
Will your stack be red and black
or multiple colours will that be a fact.
Will they be floral or abstract designs
will you be thinking this is a sign...
Will you please join me in the fun,
a bowl party is not fun with just one....
YOU start with 4 and then add 3
and before you know it
you have 33....
( or more)
as you can see, it's hard to stop
I just kept cutting and piecing
without a thought...
How large will it be,
will everyone see,
I have lost my mind
is this a crime?
It's time for lunch I must run
but I will be back with more bowls
this is just too much fun...
Okay day 2 and yes it is true..
I kept sewing and stacking
and the bowls just grew...
Will you be joining me and all the CREW...?
I sure hope- yes I do!

Hi
ReplyDeleteI'm in, I'm thinking 4 people in the group for mine. when does it start ??? excited :O)
Hi pipa , well this is the poll first, let.'s see how many would want to play...I am thinking we could start this in 2 weeks.... Stay tuned
DeleteHa quedado precioso y muy original. El colorido es perfecto. Un beso.
ReplyDeleteI thonk you said you may like to do,this and it it would be an original lol
DeleteIt has been beautiful and very original. The coloring is perfect. A kiss. ( this is the translation..)
Deletehow nice is that lol
They are so cute, will you be making it into a wall hanging for your kitchen? I do not have time right now to do a swap, but I can't wait to see what everyone else does!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I not done with it yet...lol and I will be giving this one away...just looking to see if anyone really would be interested...
DeleteJust because I think it is a good idea..doesn't mean it is lol....Glad you like it though!
Oh my!!! I would so love to do this, but I can't promise anything right now...shoot!!! Can you let me know; if I went in the group of 4 like Pippa; how many would I have to make. I am brain dead this morning...lol.
ReplyDeleteI just don't want to take on too much and let anyone down. thanks Madame Samm...
Hi Marjorie..this is just a poll....to see if anyone was interested...was thinking a couple weeks...or maybe some thought, push it forward to the fall...Pippa's group of 4...well you would do 3 bowls. sew them together, send it to someone, they would add their 3, you would get someone's first bowls you would add 3 ..4 times in total..YOu would be working on 4 diff't peoples bowls...
DeleteYOu would then get yours back, with 4 stacks of 3 bowls and with your initial 4 bowls...sew you would have 16 bowls in height...sound right > lol
Dr. Seuss...LOL! Yes, maybe your DH is right, but it made it so fun to read about your bowl making. I'd like to join in with a small group--wouldn't want to bite off more than I can sew. :O)
ReplyDeleteOhhh Carol, well as shared..just a poll to see if anyone would LIKE to do this...lol yes small groups would be ideal...otherwise it would be a year before you got your block back...you could make it quicker lol
DeleteI would love to join in when & if it happens. I think that 6 is an even number for a round. Actually it depends on how hard the pattern is! LoL
ReplyDeleteHi
DeleteCharlene the pattern is super easy..will show pattern as soon as I have the okfrom the designer.
Can I just say that would make an adorable wall-hanging or table runner!
ReplyDeleteYou said it. Jean lol and i could not agree more....i haven't finished it yet. ithought it would make a great yard flag lol
DeleteOh Samm you are amazing!!! What fun you seem to be having with your bowls all stacked so neatly and so tall. My first thought is wouldn't that be a wonderful growth chart marker for grand babies??? I also have to comment that I ADORE your new header!! Cheer Cheer!
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy..now are you a dear..well I did have fun with it and the possibilities are endless what everyone could make with it...seasonal, theme, bold, invisible lol
DeleteI am intrigued, but I have never participated in a swap before. Would this be an easy one to test my swapping wings?
ReplyDeletewell here is to 2 of us..Pastel..I have been involved in swaps but never did one before ...but I assure you , I am very organized...sew let;s see if we can more excited...Heck this is an easy pattern, took me 15 minutes to do each stack of 3...lol
DeleteThese look fabulous! I love the whimsy of them. Yes, I would like to round robin/swap these lovelies. : )
ReplyDeleteHi Wendi, willhave info to share real soon...these have sew many possibilities
DeleteI would love to join the bowling team, however, I don't know how to paper piece. I am sure somewhere someone has a bowlful of cereal, I mean tutorials I can learn from!
ReplyDeletebobbie check out our tuts ..look for paper piecing corn candy...this will help in your learning curve.
Deletethanks I will check it out!
DeleteI love the pile of bowls. I'll add that to my list...
ReplyDeleteI dare you to stay away and NOT put on your next to do things lol
DeleteI think this would be fun. Might we add cups, plates, utensils and make an entire quilt, he he? I would love to join in, don't have a pay pal account to pay for the pattern, may have to look into getting one.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern will be available to members here free, stay tuned....
DeleteI'm intrigued, but probably not if the swap goes international--I'd be too worried about shipping costs.
Deletewill no more swap..it will be a blog hop..no cost at all now, since the pattern will be free too.
DeleteWhat a fun post!
ReplyDeleteThat is what we were hoping for lol
DeleteThis might be a good submission to the Guiness Book of World Records for highest stack of bowls on a quilt!
ReplyDeleteReally lol
DeleteOh! A stack of bowls...how cute can that be?
ReplyDeleteIf you have a swap, please include me.
Imaginations would run wild and free
and we'll all smile cause we did them with glee.
More info soon...before the next moon lol
DeleteI love it! Did you make up the pattern?
ReplyDeleteI think a stack of bowls would be a perfect addition to a skinny wall in my kitchen. ;-)
Ok Sandie....and no i did not .....i can barely do pp.....come back soon...will share how to get pattern.
DeleteThis is absolutely adorable! I'm jealous of the recipient... -__-
ReplyDeleteHi. And she would have been of you...you could make one
DeleteI definitely think you have overdosed on Dr Seuss!
ReplyDeletebut it is not fatal, so you may do it again!
Ohhhh this is good to hear lol
DeleteWow how cute!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds pretty neat. However, I have only ever done one paper pieced item so this is likely out of my league.
Haley it is not as difficult as piecing, actually easier,,,,look at some of our tuts
DeleteI really like the idea! Would make a fun table runner for the summer months =D
ReplyDeleteI agree but this one is going in her sewing room on the wall...
DeleteYou crack me up....I love the bowls...too much fun. I want ice cream in mine :)
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Kelly

ReplyDeleteCarrie. I. Hear you.....i think i did not like it either until i started making themmwith bright colors and i enlarge the patterns, makes a difference.
DeleteThe bowls would make a great table runner or wall hanging! It's a fun idea, Dr. Seuss would approve.
ReplyDeleteI am delighted to hear this....it is a fune one and reallynquick too.....nowmto finish it off....
DeleteI love your bowls, reminds me of a noodle house. I would love to do this if it was a small group like you said. 4 sounds ideal. This will be my very first swap, but I too have a kitchen wall that is just screaming for this wall hanging! So count me in if you do this. Thanks!
