Warm months for me - I love greens, yellows and aquas!
ReplyDeleteI definitely like making "warm" quilts for the winter months. I love the deep and rich colors. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMary
I love fall colors and I love FALL!
ReplyDeleteKansas Troubles fabrics are always calling out to me.
What a fantastic giveaway! Great question, too. I love the colder months, when you just want to hunker down and create. It gets so dark here, though, during those months that I like using brighter colors. I crave the light.
ReplyDeleteAwesome fabrics and prizes! And I MUST say that I'm loving your signature with the coffee pot. Too, too cute and so you! :0)
ReplyDeleteLet's see. I LOVE stitching anything Christmas, but I really am enjoying the new, bright colors that are out there now, so would have to choose Summer/brights.
Thank you for the giveaway! I've so loved seeing all of these table toppers. :0)
I'm probably more winter...I love the the beautiful Christmas fabric...and winter is the perfect time to stay warm inside sewing!
ReplyDeleteI love the warm colors any time of year..for any summer or winter project...
ReplyDeleteI just came by to look up a tutorial and what do I see, another amazing giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm a January baby and have always LOVED winter and I think that influences my colour choices. Always more autumnal and wintery. All this gorgeous inspiration is rubbing off on me though and I'm making brighter colour choices!
Huge love to you Madame Samm :)
I like the Summer colors would get more use out of it.
ReplyDeleteI'm more inspired by Spring colours and warm months. Winter months make me want to curl up under a quilt with a good book :)
ReplyDeleteI must be a very random person but i have no trend to my sewing. lisaursino@msn.com
ReplyDeleteI love warm colors all year round !
ReplyDeleteI'm always inspired by the current season, however, I buy most of my seasonal fabrics off season in order to save some money. I just sew when the time and muse moves me.
ReplyDeleteIk ben ook gek op warme kleuren maar houd meer van het voorjaar en en herfst. Dus eigenlijk warme zomer kleuren zijn mijn favoriet. Geel, Paars, en alerlei blauw tinten.
ReplyDeleteI like the warm, earthy colors of the cooler months...Fall colors are the BEST :)
ReplyDeleteI am SPRING (is that an option?)
ReplyDeleteI love flowers and soft flowery colors.
Definitely more of a "warm month" color palette girl ~ bright yellows, greens, aquas, oranges :)
ReplyDeleteOooh I'm not sure- I think it depends on the day- Somedays I am inspired by Christmas/fall colors other days it's the bright colors!
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway
Summer, as I'm in Minnesota and it's never around long enough. Very fun giveaway. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like them both--warm and cold--just depends more on my mood than the season. Hope you get the blogger problems fixed and working again soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI mostly like warm colours, but I also love blues. Thanks for a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have never been a total fan of Christmas quilts because I am not a big fan of the red and green color combo which is what most Christmas quilts were made of until recently. A number of modern designers are putting out lines that have much more color variety so I am loving Christmas quilts much more. Living in the desert, it is really hard to love a summer quilt! So, I guess I would have to say, Christmas quilts are my current favorite.
ReplyDeleteFall is my inspiration. I love the warm inviting tones.
ReplyDeleteBright, light summer colors inspire me most; yellows, greens, lavenders are my faves. :-)
ReplyDeleteWarm months for me too
ReplyDeleteFall has always been my favorite so probably winter colors. But more and more I find myself inspired by all the bright pretty summer colors out there. They are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas quilts, but since I'm still fairly new to quilting I haven't made one yet. Because of that, I guess I like working with summery colors and patterns, since that's all I've done! Thanks for the opportunity to win such an incredible giveaway!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh what a fantastic give away, and you know what I have to admit? (blushing here) I've never heard of them before :-(. But I love what I have seen so far.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitively a cold month person, I love quilts in warm colors.
Thank you so much for the kitchen patterns and the table topper bloghop.
Definitely inspired more by Summer patterns/designs!! Thanks for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeleteI think I am more a season quilter. In every season I tend to use the colours which suit the weather and my mood.
ReplyDeleteI do love Christmas and winter themed projects, but I would say I'm an equal opportunity quilter/crafter! All year is when I love to create!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!
MGM
I'm also drawn to bright, happy colors, so I guess that goes with warm months. Of course, all our months here in South Texas are warm, so that makes sense!
ReplyDeleteI like all colors but am a real fan of cool colors.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that I'm a summer quilter, since I'm drawn to light, bright, and colorful patterns. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by Summer designs since that is my favorite time of year...love the warm weather, flowers and sunshine! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDelete~Terry~
What a great prize pack!!!! I love looking at "warm months" colors, but I probably prefer creating with "cold months" colors. Hmmm... what does that say about me??
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Fall and everything about it. The crisp weather, the warm colors and of course Halloween. Most of my favorite colors are Fall colors, like deep plum and cinnamon. Thanks for the great giveaway. Quick question, do you ever sleep? ;-> Toni Anne
ReplyDeleteWarm Months! Definitely! Shasta looks beautiful! Thanks so much for a chance to win all those goodies!
ReplyDeleteI love bright spring colors so I think I'm inspired most when its warm out but ac is kick on high. I hope I win!
ReplyDeleteI would like to think I am a warm season quilter I like bright colours and patterns....however I tend to buy a lot of cold season colours!
ReplyDeleteHello! I think I'm inspired by bright warm summer colours, maybe cause winters here are quite wet and dark! thanks so much for the chance to win (although chances are very slim!!!)
ReplyDeleteI just went through all of my patterns and books - and CLEARLY I prefer winter projects! :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThough I like to look at the bright colors of summer quilts, I am most inspired by winter quilts. That may be because winter just seems like the "time" for a quilt!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the giveaway. It's a good one!!
I'm kinda into warm weather quilts but the cover on the Urban Country Quilts is pretty cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI tend to gravitate to brighter colors so would have to say warm.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.
I am most certainly a winter quilter, I prefer colours like this giveaway. I looked at my stash, and it is made up mostly of these. I like them because it does not show footprints from the kids dirty feet, foods the get spiled on them and sticky fingers. What was your question?
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway thank you. love the opportunity. Terrific pic. Nbiss at sympatico
I will work with most anything, BUT have a real hard time working with Christmas prints. But I like warm/cool - Fall is my favorite season and I think I tend to use those Autumn colors more. See, so outside the box,cuz that's not on the list! Thank you so much for hosting this lovely give away - I feel for those in the 'blogger goof fog' - I'm waiting until it poofs, maybe by then all the bugs will be worked out.
ReplyDeleteRecently I'm more on a Summer mood. Bright colors, pinks , greens ,aqua.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely giveaway.
I'm definitely a warm month quilter. Give me brights, and I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteThe temp doesn't necessarily inspire what colours I use. Christmas in New Zealand is in Summer but leading up to it I'm inspired by everything lol.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say the winter months, not because I am inspired by Christmas patterns and designs, but because I love working with the jewel tones.
ReplyDeleteit totally depends on my mood, but i think i lean more towards warm months with bright, fun colors!
ReplyDeleteI'm a warm inspired quilter. But, hey, any reason to sew.
ReplyDeleteGail in Virginia

My problem is liking most everything, but I have to say I'm drawn to bright summery things. What a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI don't find dark or muted colours to be very inspiring. I much prefer the clear, bright summery colours.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great give away.
I think I share equally summery and wintery colors when it comes to sewing/quilting. What a great give away. I have been having trouble keeping up with the hop. Much to do around the home front lately.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the bright colors of the warm months inspire me the most !!!!
ReplyDeleteI am more inspired by Summer patterns - brights and warmth for me :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to enter your wonderful giveaway!!
Summer patterns/designs. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI just ran(okay, I walked) to check my stash and it is very clear that I am a warm months quilter. Coming back through the rooms I realized that the Shasta line are the colors in my house. Just finished the bathroom in green with black/white accents. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteWarm months inspire me the most. I love bright springy colors. Awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'm fickle. I think I prefer summery brights...then I see gorgeous blues and greens, and think that the cool colours have won me over...then I see a red thast I adore and I'm back to the warm side!
ReplyDeleteI am most definitely a summer color quilter...love my yellow and greens !!
ReplyDeleteAnd love the giveaway, thanks
My favorite colors are blue and purple, and I love snowflake fabrics. I think I'm definitely a cold month quilter. But then, I'm pretty much just a winter girl all around.
ReplyDeleteOh so generous sponsors and you! I am more inspired by wintry patterns...wonder why? Because we have loooong winters in Nova Scotia! Love your new signature! Thank you for another wonderful giveaway opportunity!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely summer for me! LOVE the brighter, happy colors :)
ReplyDeleteWarm is what I like. but when i shop if its on sale any material makes me happy!
ReplyDeleteI love bright jewel tones, summer or winter. I was fortunate to meet Shelley and Jeanne earlier this year and see that lovely Urban Quilt in person; and I've regretted not buying the book ever since. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the summer patterns/designs, usually they use brighter color instead of the "cold color."
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance.
I love the Christmas and cold months in color ONLY. I live in Texas and I love it HOT, but in quilt colors I love browns and greens, orange and dusty dark rose.......
ReplyDeleteWarm months for me too!!
ReplyDeleteFor me I love both! Smiles all year round. Thanks, Judith, Texas
ReplyDeleteI love warm colors. What a fantastic giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI choose warm!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely more drawn to spring and summer colors than to cold weather colors. But I try to mix it up and make some seasonal things for all different times of the year. This giveaway is wonderful -- I need a pick-me-up this week for sure.
ReplyDeleteI love jewel colours - so probably more of a summer theme.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely more inspired by Christmas patterns and designs because I love to make all of my Christmas presents. I crank up the Christmas music and get stitching!
ReplyDeletewarm colours are top of my list regardless of the season! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love making bright colorful quilts. The kind of quilt you look at and think "candy!" and want to take a bite. There is so much color out there that inspires me.
ReplyDeleteCold month. I can cozy in and create. Our summer months are just too short to stay indoors.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance at a great give away.
Love warm colours, they make me feel good all year round.
ReplyDeleteCold months, I think. Snuggle, snuggle! :) Thanks for an awesome giveaway, Samm. I've enjoyed the blog hop. :)
ReplyDeleteI am drawn to the cold months quilts. I think I need more color to work with since there is much less color in nature during the winter. I also like to snuggle up with my quilts so I enjoy working on them more.
ReplyDeleteI tend to sew with warm colors during winter, and cold colors in the warmer months.
ReplyDeleteI am more inspired by colors for warm months but love Christmas so that is a hard question lol.
ReplyDeleteI have both of those books as well! Love them! Definitely cold months for me. I LOVE both fall and winter weather and colors. Awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOh..I'm not sure, I like reds and warm colours but I also like Fig Tree and 3 sisters, I guess it depends what I feel like and who I am making the quilt for. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLately I've been inspired by Christmas quilts but for me Christmas is warm (I'm in Australia!).
ReplyDeleteI never thought about it before, but summer months for me! Doesn't make sense though, because winter's the best time for blankety snuggling.
ReplyDeleteI love the warm months, the colors of sunshine, flowers, birds and the aquas of the warm ocean waters.
ReplyDeleteThanks to the sponsors and Madame Samm for the luscious giveaway.
I love the warm months, the colors of sunshine, flowers, birds and the aquas of the warm ocean waters.
ReplyDeleteThanks to the sponsors and Madame Samm for the luscious giveaway.
Oh golly, that is a touch question. I'm inspired by the purpose or future use of the quilt, I think. I would like a picnic quilt with something like Strawberry Fields. I would like a patriotic quilt to have out on the sofa from the end of May through Labor Day. Let's not forget about a fall feeling quilt. And then for Christmas I really would like one with Holly Taylor's Christmas Spirit. Guess I'm a seasonal quilt girl : )
ReplyDeleteI LOVE bright colours, but have you seen some of those new bright/non traditional Christmas patterns...usually whatever I'm working on now is my favourite!
ReplyDeleteSince I love decorating for christmas, guess Christmas is more inspriring for me!
ReplyDeleteI suppose I am more drawn to the bright colors so I'd say "summery"; this is a great giveaway; thanks for the chance to win! (marshudson at comcast dot net)
ReplyDeleteI make more large projects and quilts in the summer months in bright colors. In the winter I do more smaller projects like mug rugs, table runners and mini-quilts. Perhaps i have a shorter attention span in the winter, lol.
ReplyDeleteChristmas is my favorite....love all the reds and greens and blues! Yup, don' have enough Xmas quilts yet! But just made 3 Xmas quilts for my grandchildren. Love it! Thanks..
ReplyDeleteLiving in Florida is a little backward. The summer months are my winter...house closed up, a/c running, etc. Just no shoveling humidity. So my quilting season is also backwards. I tend to do large projects then and smaller ones when my 'summer' comes along.
ReplyDeleteI would say I am into summer month designs. Brighter colors and more of them.
ReplyDeleteJust love both, but the warm colour maybe an itsy bitsy more. Defenitely not a blue girl, but red! Thanks for the give away! Love the books and thread! But the fabrics...oh they just grabbed me!
ReplyDeleteI would say warm months... And thanks for the chance to win a great prize
ReplyDeleteHugs
Susan
I actually am about half and half. I love the bright springy prints and love to make things that are airy and light but I also love to use darker fabrics and I love the green/red Christmasy combo, usually I make whatever takes my fancy at the time. :D Thanks for a chance at this gorgeous bundle of goodies. :D
ReplyDeleteI would say cold months. I love Christmas stuff and fall/winter colors. Right now I am in a brights cycle doing gifts for others and I am thinking about pulling out a Christmas project to give me a break.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win. Looks like a FANTASTIC prize!
I am drawn to all colors but I am prob ably more apt to make a quilt for myself in autumn colors.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI am more of a summer time inspired creator because of all the colors of flowers and being able to be outside.
Lets hope Blogger behaves for you real soon!
I am inspired by Christmas patterns/designs all year round, and I'm inspired by summer patterns/designs mostly in the spring and summer. I guess that makes me more of a Christmas/winter quilter.
ReplyDeleteI guess I would have to say Christmas, since I love red and green, with tans and gold. But this year, I am enjoying doing some brighter happy pieces for the spring and summer, so I guess it depends on my mood and the fact that I love all colors.
ReplyDeleteDebbie

ReplyDeleteI used to be all over the board, but lately seem to gravitate more towards the reds and aquas and am in love with the 1930's look.

ReplyDeleteI love warm month colors! Springy colors are the best!
ReplyDeleteI am like a revolving door! Sometimes I love the cool and sometimes I love the warm! Thanks for the chance, Dianne
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI seem to go for warm based colours for bed quilts and brights for lap quilts so a bit of both.
ReplyDeleteYou further brightened a bleak Wednesday here on the prairie...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the generous giveaway, Mdm Samm, Shelley, Jeanne, Clothworks, Presencia and Colonial Needle.
Hmmm...interesting question...I'm a warm weather creator too.
For me, I like the colors of fall and winter quilts...but my daughter is all about hot yellow and orange, so I use a lot of that too. Great giveaway. Thanks for the chance.

ReplyDeleteI use alot of blues and browns for quilts. Love all seasons. Thanks for the giveaway chance.
ReplyDeleteRight now I have been using more 19th century repos in my quilts, darker fabrics, definately not bright, so I think that would be more along the lines of winter quilts.
ReplyDeleteI just love working with the warm earthy tones, so I must definitely be a cooler month girl.
ReplyDeleteI think I am a warm month quilter. I love winter and Christmas, but don't make too many quilts of that type.

ReplyDeleteRight now I'm drawn to bright colors. Pastels work for me too.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm 50/50. I love the bright and warm colors but those darks make great quilts too. I think the occasion is more apt to help me choose than the season. Great giveaway - thanks for the chance.
