Who doesn't like to play especially with such fun fabrics?
I am Barb of Bejeweled QuiltsLink working now to my blog ( thanks Samm)and wanna share the LOVE with Madame Samm....I heart her....I heart you!!
Normally I would use "Steam A Seam" but since I didn't know what I was going to do and not wanting to waste my "Steam A Seam".....so the fabric is bare...
Took my large hearts and cut the middle out of them, in order to do this I cut a small mat that only covers the middle mat. These dies will only cut with a mat, so in order to get the middle cut I had to cut a small mat so as not to have cuts where I don't want them.
Here is the results.... So....I continue to play, continue to cut.

I get me a piece of white fabric, the end results is 18" x 24", I always like to have the fabric larger than what I need so I can cut it down but I didn't know what direction I was going on so I just cut a nice piece of white.

I started arranging the hearts as you can see below. I arranged it how I wanted and then started gluing the hearts down.
As you can see length wise there are four large hearts with the middle out of them on each side and then 3 smaller solid hearts in between the larger one. On the side width wise you just have two large and one smaller one.
In the corner I placed a small solid heart.
As a young girl I remember writing the word "LOVE" over in different forms and so I just drew out the words as you see in the end results. I am sure there are those of you that can do a much better job in the wording but I am happy with mine.
Quilt as desired and bind ....now you have your own heart attack runner.
Well as I mentioned above, I just cut and cut and so with the left over I made this candle mat.
This candle mat is 14 1/2" x 14 1/2", as you can see, there are four hearts pointing towards each other in the middle, the larger hearts in between the middle hearts and then the solid hearts in the middle of the hearts below them. EASY...just quilt as desired and bind.
I just love this mat....I love my runner. If you click on over to my blog, I will be giving the runner away to one of you
I hope that if you made the runner or mat that you come by and let me know.
Happy Valentines DAY!!!
