Hi quilting friends!! Thanks so much to Madame Samm for having me here as today's guest. I'm Michele Foster from the Quilting Gallery. I hope you've all been enjoying the fabulous Wantobe Quilter Campaign . Let's give Madame Samm a round of applause for all the work she's done to bring such quilting joy into the lives of so many.
For the past 6 weeks, over at my Quilting Gallery site, I've been hosting the Celebrate Christmas Quilt-Along and Super Deals for Quilters campaign. We've been having so much fun.
There are 36 fabulously talented designers creating 12" blocks that you can make. Additionally, several of our favourite online retailers are offering Super Deals just for quilters. Here are four of our gorgeous blocks:
Christmas Angel![]() By: Erin - One Piece at a Time | Old Snowflake![]() By: Melissa - Sew BitterSweet Designs |
Mare-y Christmas![]() By: Shelly - Prairie Moon Quilts | Sweet Sue Tops The Tree![]() By: Jennifer - SewHooked |
Head over to the Celebrate Christmas Designers' page to see the rest of the blocks or check out our Flickr group to see how they've been made.
As the hostess, I was responsible for assigning the designer dates. They went quickly... so quickly in fact, I forgot to assign myself a date. Duh!! So, today, I'll be featuring my block here. It's called Christmas Ornaments. I hope you like it. I've included instructions on making it into a mini quilt too. Of course, I have a Super Deal for you to enjoy as well.
Quilt-Along Block: Christmas Ornaments
Here's my block! The Christmas Ornaments block is created with fusible appliqué, though you could hand-appliqué it too if you prefer. Included in the pattern are the instructions for creating the mini quilt. The block finishes at 12" and the mini quilt finishes at 19.5". Head over to my blog to download the free pattern and photo tutorial.
Thanks again Madame Samm for inviting me to participate. I look forward to seeing some new faces over at the Quilting Gallery. Stay in touch by subscribing to my newsletter. Also, each week, I host a themed quilt contest. This week it's Paper Pieced Quilts. Everyone can enter and vote ... 30 fat quarters are up for grabs this week.
