Congrats my dear...
and all those who left the nicest comments
to all of our banner winners..
THANK YOU on behalf of them....
x

Yes JUNE Banner is up but not before we thank from our hearts
 our last months winners...

from left to right, Rhanda, Cheryl, Trudi and another Cheryl..
YOU kept us in the PINK and buttercream for the month...( although Trudi
did in fact have pink too) This was our Coin Quilt MONTH and it certainly
gave many the inspiration to create some coin quilts in their future.
Sew thank you for that. I LOVED opening up Stash each morning
and see you shining sew bright..and there in my mind you will stay.
Thank you for sharing your creations with us....

AND now a summery CONGRATS to....

It is June, somewhere this morning....and it is that time
to reveal our JUNE Banner winners.
Surprising to me, we had 373 lavender to purple quilts submitted.
I had no idea how many of you  made quilts in these hues..WOW.
It was very difficult for me this month to choose, as I don't think
there was any one quilt that I did not like...
I chose these for blending purposes only. I never have
any idea who's quilt is YOURS, until I am done....

Congats to Dawn... why I chose hers...

Now Dawn, hers was the loveliest shade of lilac/lavender
of the mix. Her choice of fabrics, texture, design,
was ever sew soft and struck me as a lot of love
went into this quilt. Her overall presentation
had me awestruck...She  has made me a fan
of lilacs, to lavenders to purples...You can bet in
my future  I will have something like this in my cupboards.

Congrats to Susan...

Susan, I believe was on our banner in January,
now June, she is one of the few who has been
selected twice. It is obvious her heart stitches
appeal to many. Her  double wedding ring
which I have always admired is extra special
and her selection of fabrics= perfection. Here quilting really
stands out in this quilt...

Congrats to Jamie

Jamie...oh Jamie...I loved her photos, the sun
caressed her quilt with such subtlety I wanted to
pick up her quilt and wrap myself up in it..
Her pinwheel design with the hues of deep purple
welllll, had me at HELLO purple...lol.
Lovely indeed..

 Congrats to Laila

And my dearest Laila....lol How could I overlook
this lovely piece...it is a  table runner ladies...and
you will be awed as I was when you see the entire
quilt. The appliqué of her flower at both ends
was absolutely amazing touch.
I just had to include it, because I am sure many
will be wanting to make one just like this one..
I loved her choice for background fabric...
I would be proud to display this in my home....

Their Behind the Seams stories will be featured tomorrow..
and our end of month DRAW is.....

  1. Beautiful quilt, and I have to say, Susans is my favorite, nice use of shades for the wedding ring. My daughter is getting a new place next month, and she would love those shades in a quilt.

  2. What beautiful lilac and purple quilts! Who wouldn't want to make ALL of them! I'm a follower!

  3. I am currently working on two different purple quilts. My first bit of purple in my quilting. Don't normally care for it but these fabrics really inspired me so I decided to go with the gut. Thanks for sharing these marvelous quilts/quilters.

  4. My best friend loves anything purple and I have never made her a quilt. I have been collecting purple fabrics a little bit and even have a pattern in mind. I will hopefully get all my purples collected and get it done for her by Christmas, or at least her birthday next Feb. These would certainly look good in my collection for her.
These quilts are all beautiful. I wish I thought the one I want to do for my friend would be half as beautiful.

  7. I love Purple! It is my favourite colour and I find it unbelievable how many people don't like purple! I am about to start a double wedding ring using Joel Dewberry's Avairy 2 in the lilac/plum colourway, I'm sure these fabric will coordinate beautifully!

  8. I absolutely love all shades and hues of purple....it can go from being regal to being cottagey...just dreamy! I'm making a pinwheel quilt for myself from 1930s repro fabrics and am using LOTS of purples and lavenders in it. Can't wait to finish it!

    And....I'm a follower!

  9. Purple is my absolute favorite color, yet there is very little of it in my quilts to date! This stack of luscious fabrics would get me going in the right direction, though! I went to my son's house today and found out there is a lovely, fragrant (purple) lilac by his front window. It smelled heavenly!

  10. I've never worked with purple before. I would love to make a quilt either for myself or as a gift. I just found out a good friend of mine is pregnant. She doesn't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, but if it turns out to be a girl, what a lovely quilt it would make.

  11. I don't use a lot of purple, but seeing these I think I will try!

  12. I have been collecting purples lately for my sister and for one of my "pay it forward" gals. I do believe the colour is growing on me because I picked up a lovely one with small purple paisleys with sage and I can't take it off my cutting table it is gorgeous! That will definitely be making it's way into the mix soon!

    I am also a follower!

Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Purple is the color most favored by artists.

  139. These purple hues remind me so much of a summer garden! We just had purple lilacs and now the purple iris are blooming... you know it's really summer when the butterfly bush blooms. All great quilting inspirations. And I still have a wedding ring quilt on my want to make list! Lovely!

  141. My daughter needs a new quilt for her room and her color choices are purple and purple. Winning this bundle would take some of the fabric guesswork (guesswork = debate with my daughter) out of the equation. Thanks!

  143. Hi. I love purple and don't need much of an excuse to use it whenever and wherever I can. In particular this year I think I would like to add purple to Christmas (did I really mention the C word!), but I think purple and silver would look just fab. Many thanks. Caroline

  147. Just finishing up a journal cover using a deep purple as the outside. I don't typically gravitate towards shades of purple, but lately these colors have been calling out to me.

  149. Purple isn't a color I use often, and usually just in small amounts, but recently I bought some wild purple fabrics and am planning to do a diamond quilt. I find myself more drawn to these colors recently, and am looking forward to Terrain arriving in the fall.

  150. I love blues -- and consider purple and lavendar as sort-of-a blue. On my bed are two quilts - one with lavendar and one with purples. After seeing these great examples, makes me want to collect some fabrics to make another purpley quilt. If win, this will be much easier to start! Thanks to our sponsors for the prizes!

  153. That banner is just beautiful! When I first saw the colors of the giveaway I automatically thought black would go so well with it but then I think a splash of turquoise would pop that purple out! Great color of the month :0).

  154. I've been trying to buy various shades of lavender/purple and want to make a quilt in purples and yellows. Collecting all the colors needed is so hard to do, and requires such dedication. I don't even have enough to half-way start the quilt. Maybe one day. Since seeing these quilts, it makes me want to go out and say "To heck with the budget - I need all the purples now!" Love me some purple. And want it now.
