  1. Thank you for sharing! Love the trees and like even more that you changed up the design when you wanted to :) Like the idea of an oversized hot pad ... might have to make a few for myself, or pull more from my stash and surprise a few friends :) Thanks!

  2. Love your "hot, hot pads". I made some for my son's girlfriend for Christmas but they weren't nearly as detailed and as clever as your hotpads! Very nice!!

  3. Love the hot pads - my MOM made something similar as she didn't like the mug rugs. It is refreshing to see that the "organized" queen also makes a fabric spagheti mess like all of us. And you said it - you have to pet the fabric. Thank you for a lovely post.

  8. The Hot Mats are a super idea. I have made them the size of a Pot Holder 9 x 9, put a loop on one corner and they serve as double duty. Now with your idea, I will expand them into Hot Mats and make them about 14 inches long. They make wonderful hostess gifts. Make them in all colors and for every season. Thanks for sharing your ideas. Happy New Year to you and your family.

  13. Ah!! I love your hot pads. They are gorgeous!!! Such a fun way to use up scraps. This is a perfect little project to get your sewing fix and make something quick. Just the kind of project I like. I'm sure your family and friends just loved them. I need to make a few of these for next Christmas. I'm going to put them on my gift making list. Thanks!!! 14. What a clever idea! I'm always scrambling for something to sit my hot pans on and these will be perfect - of course I'll have to make them for my daughters too so I can see a way to use up lots of my strips! blessings, marlene

  16. The hot pads are a great idea for using up ones stash. Especially since you have used all your stash, not just Christmas fabric. Guess what my family will be getting for Christmas next year! Thanks for sharing.

  17. I'm excited to get going on a few of my own! The appeal of these little "quilty" pads, rugs, mats, or whatever you want to call them allows us "artists" to use our creativity without spending forever to complete something. They fulfill a need for speed...just saying!!! Hey, WE ARE ARTISTS, I don't care what anyone else says!
