Oh look a video of Block of the Month Clubs

BOM I just completed!

Hi, I'm Valerie (you can find me over at Val's Quilting on most days) and I LOVE to Quilt! I most especially LOVE Block of the Month clubs as they are an excellent way to make a stunning quilt by creating a new block each month while learning a barrage of techniques as you go.

I need help deciding which one(s) to do...

My Block of the Month Club programs teach with private step by step how-to video blog and picture tutorials weather you're a beginner or an advanced quilter, my tutorials are an excellent way to start your skills and hone them and I will show you how, sound fun?

Pastimes Online provides you everything you need to get started, silk pins, sewing machine needles, 100% cotton hand dyed floss and wool, 100% silk floss and luscious dupioni silks...sound enticing now?

We are about to launch a new array of block of the month (bom) clubs from beginner to advanced. One of these will suite YOU! Each bom will include all of the above plus prizes (i.e. scissors, rulers, fabrics) each month.

Help us pick which ones YOU would LOVE to do by Voting through our Block of the Month Poll!!

Crazy Christmas by Lynette Anderson, 12 month bom, quilt as you go, to include stitching & the cutest Christmas wool applique within a crazy patch design.

Life is Beautiful by Hugs and Kisses will be set in the mood of creams, browns, lilacs and purples, with an interesting applique & quilt as you go technique. A 'beautiful' journal pattern including all the blocks.

HocusPocusVille by Crabapple Hill was one I just couldn't resist. Starting with the amazing drawings that will be stitched in veriegated flosses, and the adorable 9-patches will be perfect to hang during the fall.

Pies and Tarts by Sue Daley is one that is just stunning, with the overwhelming beauty combination of the curves and piecing. This will sure to be a show stopper. English paper piecing technique will be mastered throughout this process. Acrylic templates, paper templates and more included in this kit.

Truly Scrumptious by Cinderberry Stitches is the most adorably whimsical piece of patchwork and embroidery I've seen, this will look amazing in any hallway, or bedroom making it joyful and happy.

So I want to say, "thanks so much!!" Madame Samm for having me spend the day here with all of your wonderful viewers in this fantabulous community of quilting, sharing and loving each other up so much!! I've had a great time and would love to come back and chat about my favourite cutting tools including the desirable Gingher line of scissors, Gingher's unbelievable rotary cutter and sew much more on my next visit. If you need a fix or want to read up on Pastimes at www.PastimesOnline.ca, and sign up for our quarterly newsletter, The Times!

Until next time, stay happy and creative,

Editors note:: From Madame Samm's desk...when I invited Valerie to Stash Manicure it was to provide the readers YOU, with information on what to do with your stash (our stash)  to showcase, what was available in the Block of the Month world...It was not my intention or Valeries to think this was an Advertisement  of any sort ( I thought it was more of  a Marketing tool...find out if others like B.O.M's too...... This was my call, not Valerie's in any way)...I was the one that was sew excited to hear of what was available out there. I have seen many posts here that could certainly lean towards promoting  yourselves, your site, your new pattern, new blog, new event...... I look at Stash Manicure as a place where QUILTERS of all descriptions can come together and be educated and entertained.  Everyone who has posted here gains more traffic on their blogs. That is still  yours- future guest and all bloggers intent. Thank you for being here today and possibly  tomorrow..lol
I am honored Valerie took the time and energy to be here today...  I am always YOUR cheerleader... the question I ask...will you be HERS and OURS?

Piece be with us all... Madame samm

  16. Oh, I love so many of the wonderful color combinations you have put together. The purples and green of Life is Beautiful are truly beautiful! And I love the pattern for it as well. I am not a huge fan of hand sewing but one little embroidery a month I could probably handle. I also really like the vibrant colors of Truly Scrumptious! Thank you for showing us some wonderful BOM options :)

  20. I'm sorry you got some bad vibes today - I found your post as information. I love Lynette's BOM and was excited to get a "pre-view" of what is coming. There were lots of variety to fit anyones needs and style of quilting. Thank you for sharing.

  21. Val I love, love, love Lynette Anderson! And HocusPocusville - a friend actually gave me that pattern a couple of years ago and I've been waiting on the perfect fabrics to start it, so I'm thrilled to see a BOM. :) And Cinderberry Stitches - she does the absolute cutest embroidery and it makes me smile every time I see it. Oh my goodness you have some wonderful choices there...but I'd have to vote for HocusPocusville because it's what I consider one of my UFOs (or maybe it should be a NBS? Never Been Started!). But Cinderberry is pulling at my heartstrings even as I vote for someone else. :) Thanks for showing us what's available...it saved me tons of searching time! blessings, marlene

  26. Val,
What a clever girl you are to include videos! Waaaaay cool! And tooooo many great choices...hmmm...probably like Hocus Pocus is my fav... especially if I can get someone else to do the hand stitchin!! grinning.... So many people love BOM activities because they don't have to make any fabric choices- it's all done for you!! Good job, YOU!! :-)

  27. I *love* BOMs! It was a BOM that got me started quilting! I'd have a hard time picking a favorite from the ones you listed, though. Can't I have it all?!? :)

  28. Don't know how I missed you. Your video is OMG, you are so cute in your pink polo. I am a BOM queen, to see new ones this morning excites me. I want Hocus Pocus then Truly Scrumptious. I like the idea that I can do some needlework. Thank you Val for a well put together post, this is what I love about this blog.

  29. So glad you shared this with us! I have been a huge fan of BOM's for quite some time now. I like that I can get one block completed and not feel overwhelmed by a whole project. It does give me an opportunity to learn new techniques without having to sign-up for a class and drag my sewing machine to the car. My biggest problem is which one to choose? I'm a big Cinderberry Stitche and Crapapple Hill fan, I also love the Crazy Christmas pattern and have not worked much with wool before. Oh the blessings of having choices! Have a wonderful day!

    Thanks
